MMORPG: I was BUGGED-Chapter 364: Guided by Love: Xiaxia’s Runway Revelation
As the show finally commenced, there was a flurry of activity backstage as everyone prepared to take their places.
Xiaxia, after receiving instructions from the ones in charge, took a series of deep breaths, attempting to calm her nerves.
She focused on relaxing her thoughts, reminding herself of her simple attire –– no flowing gown or precarious high heels to trip her up on the runway.
She reassured herself that she would be fine. After all, it was nothing more than just walking normally, something she did every day.
With each breath, Xiaxia felt a bit more centered, a bit more composed. She stood tall, ready to face the runway.
As the models began to walk out one by one from behind the curtains, Xiaxia observed their graceful movements with admiration.
Each step was measured, each gesture deliberate. It was as if they were born to command the runway, exuding confidence and poise with every stride.
However, the serene picture presented on the runway was a stark contrast to the chaos that unfolded behind the curtains. Models hurriedly changed outfits, makeup artists rushed to touch up any imperfections, and wardrobe assistants scrambled to ensure every detail was perfect.
Since there were still some gaps in the lineup to be filled, some models had to make multiple turns on the runway, seamlessly transitioning from one look to the next.
Despite the added pressure, they maintained their composure, flawlessly showcasing each collection with elegance and grace.
For Xiaxia, watching the seasoned models effortlessly navigate the runway was both inspiring and intimidating. She couldn’t help but feel a twinge of apprehension as her own turn approached.
But with each passing moment, she reminded herself to stay focused, to breathe deeply, and to trust in her own abilities.
After all, she had come this far, and she was determined to make the most of this opportunity, Lisa and all.
As Xiaxia’s turn approached, she felt a mixture of nerves and excitement coursing through her veins. She had rehearsed her steps countless times backstage, mentally preparing herself for this moment.
But just as she stepped forward to make her entrance onto the wide runway, a sudden push from behind sent her stumbling out from the curtains.
For a fleeting moment, time seemed to stand still as Xiaxia found herself thrust into the spotlight, all eyes in the room fixated on her.
In that instant, all coherent thoughts vanished from Xiaxia’s mind, replaced by a suffocating wave of fear.
As she stumbled forward, her confidence plummeted, and she felt as though she were drowning in a sea of uncertainty.
The audience’s whispers and laughter only served to intensify her panic, amplifying the ringing in her ears and causing her head to spin.
Just as she felt on the brink of fainting, a familiar face materialized amidst the sea of spectators. It was her brother’s stern yet reassuring expression that anchored her, pulling her back from the precipice of despair.
Drawing upon the strength within her, Xiaxia summoned the remnants of her shattered confidence, determined to prove herself despite the overwhelming odds.
With shaky steps, she began to walk, her resolve flickering like a fragile flame in the darkness.
However, even as her willpower surged, her body remained unsteady, threatening to betray her with every step. It was then that a reassuring hand slipped around her elbow, guiding her forward with a steady, comforting presence.
"Just walk normally," came a low, deep voice, cutting through the chaos of her mind.
As Xiaxia turned her gaze to the source of the voice, she found herself locking eyes with Victor, his presence a beacon of strength in the midst of her turmoil.
She could barely recognizing him beneath the layers of makeup and transformation into a stunningly handsome figure. Despite the disguise, his allure was undeniable, his jaw-dropping appearance commanding attention.
With chiseled features and an air of confidence that radiated from every pore, Victor effortlessly captivated the audience’s gaze. His lean physique moved with grace and poise, his presence enhancing the beauty of the clothes he wore rather than overshadowing them.
As Victor guided Xiaxia forward, his focus remained unwavering, his eyes fixed ahead.
In that moment, Xiaxia found herself seeing him in a new light, appreciating not just his outward beauty but also the strength and assurance he exuded.
She felt her cheeks flush with heat, her heartbeat pounding as if it wanted to burst out of her chest.
With his support, she found his courage once again. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
With each step guided by Victor’s steady hand, Xiaxia felt a sense of calm wash over her, allowing her to focus on the task at hand.
Before she knew it, she was back behind the curtains, the whirlwind experience on the runway leaving her breathless yet exhilarated.
Xiaxia had never felt so relieved as she did when she emerged from the ordeal. But above all, she knew she had to find Victor before her nerves tore her apart.
Without caring about the whispers and laughter directed her way, Xiaxia dashed into the men’s section, her sole focus on locating Victor, who was preparing for another round on the runway.
"Victor!"
Everyone paused in their activities, the men looking at Xiaxia with a mixture of astonishment and amusement.
Some models were still naked, while others hurriedly scrambled to change, their urgency evident as they prepared for their next appearance.
But Xiaxia’s attention was solely on Victor, and everything else faded into the background.
"Thank you!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide, face flushed, and breathe coming in pants.
Victor was taken aback by Xiaxia’s sudden appearance, but he chuckled warmly and flashed her a grateful smile. "No, thank you for helping me out. I owe you one," he replied with a wink before heading out towards the spotlight.
He’s so cool. Xiaxia thought with a dreamy sigh.
Left alone, Xiaxia felt her body burning with heat, her knees shaking as she collapsed onto the grass, clutching her pounding heart that throbbed so hard it resonated in her ears and chest.
Could this be . . . LOVE?! Xiaxia wondered, her gaze longing for Victor.
"Um . . . this is the men’s section," a bewildered assistant pointed out to the dazed girl.
Xiaxia blinked, realizing where she was, and quickly gathered herself, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment as she sprinted back to the women’s section.
