MMORPG: I was BUGGED-Chapter 395: Whispers in the Moonlight
Seraphina’s smile faltered for a moment before she composed herself. "Are you speaking from experience? Because Xin and you took a long time to become an official couple?"
Meilyn was taken aback by Seraphina’s directness but refused to back down. "So you know about me and Xin. Then I guess this will make it much easier."
Taking a deep breath, Meilyn made her declaration. "Please leave Xin alone if you’re only playing with him. He’s already been through enough. If you don’t truly care for him and are just toying with his emotions, then leave him be."
Seraphina’s eyes narrowed slightly at Meilyn’s words, her demeanor shifting from polite to steely. "Toying?"
Meilyn felt a surge of intimidation but stood her ground. "I mean . . . what else could it be? You two barely knew each other. There must be some kind of ulterior motive . . ."
"The reason is simple," Seraphina interrupted, raising her chin defiantly. "You’re right, I don’t just like Xin . . . I love him."
". . . What?" Meilyn’s confusion quickly turned to anger. "How can you claim to love someone you barely know? Xin and I . . . we’re childhood friends, and we’ve been together for five years as a couple. We know each other since we’re young. I know him well enough to know that he wouldn’t just enter into a relationship with a stranger."
Seraphina met Meilyn’s gaze head-on, her presence exuding an intimidating aura that made Meilyn take a step back involuntarily.
"Don’t taunt me with the fact that you were his first girlfriend and have known him for years. Your feelings for him only hold weight if you stand by him through thick and thin. Your love is fleeting, while my love for him is steadfast and unwavering."
"W-what are you talking about?" Meilyn couldn’t believe her ears.
"You don’t deserve him the moment you walked away from him in that hospital," Seraphina declared firmly, her words cutting through the air with finality.
With that, Seraphina made her exit, leaving Meilyn reeling in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.
Gritting her teeth, Meilyn glared at Seraphina’s retreating form, her fists trembling with suppressed frustration.
She knew deep down that Seraphina’s words held a painful truth.
No matter how much she regretted her decision now, the fact remained that she had been the one to turn her back on Xin in his time of need.
And that was a harsh reality that Meilyn couldn’t escape, no matter how much she wished she could rewrite the past.

As night fell over Azure Cove, the once vibrant beach transformed into a tranquil oasis illuminated by the soft glow of moonlight.
The air was filled with the gentle rustle of palm trees and the distant murmur of the ocean waves, creating an atmosphere of serene beauty.
Amidst the tranquil surroundings, Xin found himself wandering along the shoreline, his steps guided by an inexplicable sense of restlessness.
Despite the calming ambiance, his thoughts were consumed by the events of the day, particularly his encounter with Seraphina. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
He had searched for her along the beach, hoping to catch a glimpse of her before she departed. But try as he might, she was nowhere to be found, leaving him with a sense of unease that gnawed at his insides.
Perhaps she had returned home, he reasoned with himself, recalling her earlier mention of needing a brief breather.
"Are you searching for someone?"
Xin flinched, his eyes widening as he saw Seraphina standing behind him, his heart skipping a beat at the sight of her.
When did she appeared?
"I thought you’d returned home," he stammered a little, his voice tinged with surprise.
Seraphina offered a small smile, but there was a sadness lingering beneath the surface, betraying the turmoil that churned within her.
The confrontation with Meilyn lingered heavily in Seraphina’s thoughts, leaving her unsettled. She couldn’t shake the feeling that perhaps Xin still harbored feelings for Meilyn.
After all, their history spanned years, a depth of connection not easily surpassed or forgotten. The weight of their shared memories hung in the air, casting a shadow over Seraphina’s mind as she grappled with her own insecurities.
"Do you really think that I just came all the way here to take a breather?" Seraphina’s voice was serious, her expression guarded as she met Xin’s gaze with intensity.
Xin felt a knot form in his stomach.
Their eyes locked in a silent exchange, each grappling with their own inner turmoil and unspoken truths.
Xin rubbed the back of his neck, feeling the awkwardness and tension hanging heavily between them. He couldn’t quite comprehend how things had escalated to this point.
"Um . . . You’re Seraphina Fey, so you could have just come here if you wanted to breathe the ocean air," Xin stammered, his words tinged with uncertainty.
Seraphina regarded Xin for a long moment before letting out a sigh.
"This is why you have to be direct with this type of men," she murmured to herself.
Xin blinked in confusion. "What was that?"
Before he could react, Seraphina closed the distance between them, her actions swift and unexpected.
Warmth spread across Xin’s lips as he registered what had just happened.
Did Seraphina . . . kissed him?
Wait . . . SHE kissed HIM?
Xin’s mind went blank as Seraphina pulled away, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes as she met his bewildered gaze.
"I didn’t come here just to take a breather. I wanted to check on you, to make sure you’re still mine," Seraphina declared with a hint of possessiveness.
Xin felt like he was dreaming. Was this some sort of elaborate fantasy playing out in his mind?
"Um . . . What . . . Why . . . This . . ." Xin struggled to find the right words, his mind still reeling in shock.
Seraphina sauntered away, her demeanor calm but the tight grip on her white handkerchief in her hands betrayed her inner turmoil.
"I’ll give you some time to process my words, but be warned: I’m not a very patient woman," she said before disappearing into the night.
Xin could only stand there, dumbfounded and disoriented, watching as Seraphina left him in a state of utter confusion.
It felt like an eternity passed before Xin finally snapped out of his daze and gently brushed his lips with his fingers.
Reality hit him like a hurricane.
Seraphina . . . does she . . . she likes him?
Xin’s eyes widened in disbelief, his mind racing to comprehend the unexpected turn of events.
