KIHO HAD a bad feeling about this and, unfortunately, his bad feelings were never wrong most of the time.

Kiho’s eyes widened when the Moon Serpent suddenly opened its mouth, and then his son spat something out.

It was a "ball" full of divine energy.

[Is that...?]

<"Kiho Nystrom!"> Wixx, now in his human form, yelled. <"Protect my nephew!">

The Red Phoenix didn’t have to say that, though.

Kiho had already raised his arms and created a wall of ice to protect him and Winter.

[The black moon is back.]

Soon, a strong force exploded– hitting Wixx in the process.

Kiho saw the Red Phoenix try to block the attack with a wall of fire that he created.

But Wixx was pushed back until he hit the ice wall that Kiho made.

[Tsk.]

Unfortunately, Kiho didn’t have the luxury to worry about Wixx. After all, Winter– still in his Moon Serpent form– threw his snake head back in a rough way, causing him to get sent flying.

[Winter...?]

Kiho had to create a "waterfall" behind him to cushion him or else he would have crushed on the wall that used to be the Moon God’s vessel.

Now he was suspended in the air, a bit shocked that his own son was now hissing at him.

"Winter, it’s me, your father," Kiho said in disbelief. "Do you not recognize me?"

The Moon Serpent just hissed at him, his red eyes glowing menacingly, before the giant snake attacked him.

[Dammit!]

The Moon Serpent was big, but it was fast!

Kiho was shocked when the Moon Serpent suddenly appeared in front of him with his mouth wide open as if it wanted to swallow him.

[Winter has lost his consciousness...]

He had to hold onto the Moon Serpent’s two fangs to stop it from biting him.

It wasn’t busy because aside from stopping the Moon Serpent from killing, he couldn’t do anything else because he didn’t want to hurt his son.

[I know that he might kill me at this rate, but I really can’t harm him...]

Hence, there was only one way to stop Winter.

"I’m sorry, son," Kiho said, gathering his Mana in his hands until his hands were producing ice. "I need to freeze you for a moment."

"Are you crazy?!"

It was Wixx.

Kiho didn’t have the luxury to tear his gaze away from his son so he couldn’t bother to turn to the Red Phoenix.

But he could tell that Wixx was mad at Kiho while fighting an enemy.

"Why would you freeze my nephew?!" Wixx yelled angrily. "I know that Winter inherited your ice, but he’s not in his right mind at the moment! The Moon Serpent has taken control of his mind and body! What if he suddenly forgot how to control his body temperature?!"

He knew that Wixx was right.

Even so, Kiho was doing this for Winter.

"I’m taking the risk, Wixx," Kiho said firmly. "Winter is my son. I know he can survive my ice."

Winter was the child who craved Kiho’s ice while he was still in Tilly’s womb.

Hence, he knew that his son wouldn’t die from his ice.

[Moreover...]

"It’s okay, Winter," Kiho whispered encouragingly as the giant head of the Moon Serpent had begun getting covered in ice. "You are also Tilly’s son, so you have the flame that could melt my ice."

WIXX WANTED to smack Kiho in the back of his head for freezing the Moon Serpent.

He could see why Kiho would do that to Winter.

Even so, the risk was too high.

[Winter has better control of his ice than his flame. But if he can’t recognize his father at the moment, then it must mean that his nature as the Moon Serpent has taken over. And a divine beast like him would swallow everything and anything that’s slightly similar to the moon.]

And Kiho, who was the son of the Moon God, was nothing but a snack to the Moon Serpent.

"Do you really have the time to worry about your nephew?"

[Tsk.]

Unfortunately, Wixx didn’t have that luxury while facing Aku Moonchester.

And the emperor had already returned to his original form.

Aku Moonchester still looked like a human, except that he had three eyes now.

The emperor’s third eye was located on his forehead.

Even though Wixx called it an ’eye,’ it actually looked more like a little moon attached to Aku Moonchester’s forehead.

[A black moon, to be precise.]

Worse, the emperor’s Mana and divine power at the moment were at their strongest.

"You have no idea how much I resent this appearance of mine," Aku Moonchester said through gritted teeth. "I have to pay back your nephew for forcing me to return to my original form. Hence, get out of my way, Red Phoenix. You know you don’t have the power to stop me anyway."

Ah, this little bastard was looking down on him, huh?

"You’re nothing if Kiho’s past self didn’t pick you up, you arrogant child," Wixx said, gathering his flames in his hands. "Let me remind you of your pathetic self before I kill you, Aku Moonchester."

[A SMALL Black Hole?]

Tilly had spat it out.

To be honest, she didn’t know how it happened.

When the Black Flame, the child that looked at her, touched her back earlier, she suddenly felt the urge to throw up.

And what she threw up was that small Black Hole.

<"That was the sun that you swallowed in the past, Supreme,"> the Black Flame explained. <"That was the sun that contained all the powers that the gods had put away.">

Come to think of it, it was ridiculous that the gods entrusted something so important and dangerous to her.

"Now what should I do next?" Tilly asked nervously. "We can’t just leave it there, can we?"

<"You have to turn it into a weapon, Supreme,"> the Black Flame said, smiling "sweetly" at her. <"You have to turn it into a weapon that can kill gods.">
