Mr.CEO Looks Exactly the Same as My Son!-Chapter 778: Like a Homeless Cinderella
The vehicles came and went in a constant flow. Qin Yin resembled a homeless child, sitting there dumbfounded, her shoulders slightly trembling.
.....
Today was Saturday, yet Mo Han was dragged back to the company by his boss to work overtime. It was a tough day, and he finally finished his work. Without having time for dinner, he drove straight home.
Feeling unwell these past couple of days, he made a detour to the hospital before heading home to buy some medicine. Leaving the underground parking lot, he drove slowly along the road. As he passed a street lined with bars, he saw a girl sitting by the roadside through the car window, seemingly crying.
Not thinking much of it, as the car passed by the girl, he instinctively glanced her way. Noticing the bag clutched in her hand, he slammed the accelerator, the tires screeching against the pavement. However, he didn’t care and parked the car at the roadside, turned on the hazard lights, opened the door, and walked towards the girl, looking down at her from above.
At this moment, Qin Yin was tipsy, having cried for quite a while. She couldn’t clearly discern who was by her side. Turning her head, she stared at him with teary eyes.
Mo Han stood there silently. Qin Yin, who usually didn’t like to communicate with people at the company, had never looked as helpless as she did now.
Right now, she seemed like a homeless Cinderella, making those who saw her feel a pang of compassion.
Mo Han lightly pursed his lips, squatted beside her, and spoke gently, "Qin Yin, why are you here?"
Startled, the girl looked at him, with tear marks still on her cheeks, and suddenly smiled, "Who are you? Why am I here? I don’t even know."
Mo Han: "...."
Realizing she was drunk, he didn’t say much. He reached out to help her up, but she reacted as if frightened, suddenly standing up despite wearing high heels, and stepped back quickly, "Don’t touch me, stay away from me."
"Alright, alright, I won’t help you. Just don’t move around, or you’ll fall."
She couldn’t hear him, her mind in a haze, her body swaying, about to fall. Worried that she might sprain her ankle in those heels, Mo Han stepped forward, pulled her towards him, opened the back door of the car, and despite her resistance, sat her down and took off her high heels, tossing them onto the back seat.
Knowing that forcibly taking her away might cause a scene, he quickly stood up, removed his own leather shoes, put them on her, and then helped her stand firmly on the ground.
Because they were men’s shoes, they were a bit large. She took a few steps forward and almost fell. Luckily, Mo Han supported her in time to prevent a disaster. There were small stones on the ground, making it uncomfortable to walk barefoot.
But he said nothing, closed the car door, leaned against it, and quietly watched her.
After a few minutes, the cold from the ground seeped into his body, and he frowned slightly, "Qin Yin, how about I take you home to rest?"
"No, I’m not done having fun yet."
She said that and clumsily walked forward in his leather shoes, swaying. Mo Han quickly followed, and whether she tripped over something or not, Qin Yin’s body swayed and was about to fall to the ground.
He quickly reached out, pulled her back, and due to the momentum, the girl’s body fell heavily into his arms. A faint scent filled his nose, leaving him momentarily dazed...
