Mr.CEO Looks Exactly the Same as My Son!-Chapter 781: What Happened?
Thinking about yesterday afternoon, Mo Han asked her to help charge his phone, which had been in the bedroom all along. Because she didn’t have a charger, she charged her own phone before sleeping, thinking it was too late to take it to him.
Aahhh!!!
She roared inwardly, rubbed her hair, and wondered why she didn’t check the caller ID before answering.
...
On the other end of the call, Xu Kun was also completely confused. Mo Han didn’t come to the morning meeting today, so he was calling to find out what happened. But as soon as the call connected, it was a woman’s voice. And the key was, that voice sounded so familiar.
Could someone tell him what happened? He looked at the phone again—wasn’t it Mo Han’s number? So where did the woman come from? Did he hear wrong, or was he hallucinating?
"What’s wrong?" Beichen Rui sat in his seat, perplexed by the astonishment on his face, and asked out of curiosity.
"Nothing, Mo Han might have some issues. Shall we start the meeting first?"
"Hmm..."
....
Mo Han walked into the bedroom and saw her hugging the quilt with a resentful expression. "I knocked on your door a few times just now, and you didn’t respond. What’s up with you?" He pointed at her, a bit puzzled, "What are you doing?"
Hugging the quilt, she was a bit conflicted and hesitated before speaking, "Vice President Xu called you just now." After speaking, she looked like a child who had done something wrong, hanging her head silently.
"And then?" He raised an eyebrow slightly, inexplicably finding her appearance somewhat cute. He smiled, but because his throat was a bit sore, he didn’t continue speaking, waiting for her to continue.
"And then..... I accidentally answered it." After speaking, she covered her head with the quilt, and a few seconds later, a muffled voice came through, "I really didn’t mean to, I had just woken up and didn’t look carefully, so... so....."
Seeing her like this, Mo Han chuckled, walked to the bedside, picked up his phone, and spoke in a hoarse voice as he stared at her fluffy head, "It’s okay. It’s already late anyway. Might as well take a day off and rest at home. I’m a bit unwell. If you can, please cook something for me."
By the time Qin Yin snapped back to reality, Mo Han was already out of the room. Remembering he said he wanted to eat, she got out of bed, tidied up the bed, washed up in the bathroom, and went to the living room where he was on the balcony making a call. Not wanting to disturb him, she went straight to the kitchen.
After eating, Qin Yin didn’t stay long. She said she needed to go back, and Mo Han offered to drive her home. Initially, she refused, but when he mentioned it was hard to get a cab here, she nodded in agreement.
When they arrived under her apartment building, considering he had brought her back, she invited him to come upstairs for a bit. Mo Han did not refuse. When they reached her floor, she took out the key from her bag and opened the door, but what awaited inside stunned both Qin Yin and Mo Han.
The room was a mess, with things scattered everywhere.
Didn’t she change the locks? How did someone get in? Suddenly realizing something, she ran into the bedroom and found the things she had previously hidden. Only then did she relax, thankful that they were still there.
"What’s happening in your house? Should we call the police?" Mo Han walked over and asked with concern.
"No need." After securing her belongings, she stood up and started tidying up, "I’m sorry you had to see this mess."
"It’s okay, but really, shouldn’t we call the police?"
Hearing this, Qin Yin’s eyes darkened, "No need. And what if we do call the police?" Mo Han stood at the door, watching the sadness that emanated from the girl, and lightly pressed his lips together.
