Chapter 1012: Chapter 1008: Uncle, Don’t Go on Blind Dates—Lara Is So Scared

The two women were frequently clinking beer bottles together, and once they were almost finished, Mia Foster started confiding in Sophie Foster, saying that Felix Shaw didn’t love her, and Sophie, like a seasoned expert, gave Mia some advice.

"...Mia, you should do more with Uncle Felix. They say making love often makes love happen. If you two do it more, Uncle Felix will fall for you, just like Nicholas and I..."

At the mention of Nicholas, Sophie became unhappy again. She hugged her knees, curled up in the booth, and said in a pouty voice, "Too bad, he’s gone on a date with another woman now."

Fueled by alcohol, Mia called Nicholas Croft. As soon as he picked up, she bluntly said, "Nicholas, little Sophie is very upset now. If you’re still a man, come and take her back!"

Just after hanging up the phone, Sophie pitifully pouted and complained, "You didn’t even tell him the address..."

"Oh, oh, that’s my mistake, my mistake..." Mia said good-naturedly, then called Nicholas again. By this time, both women were quite drunk.

Meanwhile, the press conference hadn’t ended yet. After hanging up, Nicholas quickly gave his assistant some instructions and hurriedly left the stage.

He knew Sophie always felt insecure, but he was a victim of yesterday’s events too.

Before heading to the bar, he called Felix Shaw. Just as Nicholas arrived, Felix had just gotten out of his car. The two men went inside together, searching around the bar. Nicholas’ gaze inadvertently swept across the dance floor, where his little troublemaker was partying with his buddy’s wife.

The two women were surrounded in the center, wildly twisting their waists and shaking their heads to the rhythm.

"Felix, stop looking, they’re over there." Nicholas, feeling exasperated, pulled Felix along to the dance floor. The tall and long-legged men easily pushed through the crowd to the two wild women. Facing his little mischief-maker, Nicholas said nothing and carried Sophie over his shoulder like a sack of flour, striding out of the dance floor.

"Uncle, Lara feels sick," perched on Nicholas’ back, Sophie covered her mouth and gagged a bit. Nicholas raised his hand and gave her bottom a light smack, "Little thing, if you still recognize me, it means you’re not that drunk."

"Uncle! Lara feels sick!" Sophie protested loudly, then gagged a couple of times more. Nicholas finally stopped, cradled her in his arms, and with a gentle voice, said, "Lara, don’t throw tantrums with Uncle anymore. Uncle will be very busy for a while and won’t have time to take care of you."

"But you still have time for blind dates," Sophie pouted, her eyes turning red.

Nicholas sighed, "Didn’t Uncle tell you? Uncle was tricked into it."

As he spoke, they reached his car. Nicholas opened the passenger door and placed Sophie inside, then quickly moved around the car to the driver’s side. As soon as he sat down, Sophie had already pounced on him, holding him tightly, "Uncle, don’t go on blind dates. Lara is scared. If Uncle takes a liking to another woman, Lara will be alone again."

"Silly girl, Uncle won’t take a liking to another woman. Uncle only likes Lara." With a sigh, Nicholas held Sophie tightly in his embrace, knowing what the little thing was worried about.

On the way back, Sophie stayed clinging to Nicholas’ arm, refusing to let go, murmuring from time to time, "Uncle..." She called so affectionately that Nicholas’ heart itched. Finally back at his villa, as the car stopped in the underground garage, Sophie stuck to him again.
