Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride-Chapter 1027 - 1023: Bringing Her Back Is a Win-Win
Josephine Hawthorne slapped the sofa and stood up, "A child born of a whore is still a whore! Saying such shameless things! As if that whore mother of yours is some kind of beauty. If it weren’t for her scheming to seduce Grayson, how would he have betrayed me!"
Beatrice Hargrave was still too young. Seeing her closest person being called a whore, she lost control immediately and retorted with her chin raised at Josephine Hawthorne, "You’re the whore, your whole family is!"
"Ha!" Josephine let out a derisive laugh and sat back down on the sofa, glancing at Beatrice with disdain in her expression, "An uncultured girl, arguing with you is beneath me!"
"Sigh," Henry Hargrave sighed helplessly, feeling both helpless and headache from the quarrel between the two women.
With her hands clenched tightly in her denim jacket pockets, Beatrice Hargrave raised her chin and glared sidelong at Josephine Hawthorne, her voice noticeably louder due to the difficulty in breathing from anger, then she suddenly sneered, "Even if my mom is a whore, there’s always someone worse. Look," Beatrice Hargrave pointed her chin towards Henry Hargrave again and said with a smile, "This man would even sleep with a whore like my mom. Doesn’t that make him worse than her?" 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
"Enough!" Henry Hargrave slapped the sofa and reprimanded loudly, "Beatrice, can’t you just say a little less? No matter what, she’s your aunt!"
"Hmph, a market vendor’s aunt maybe." Beatrice turned her head, let out a sneer, and then coldly asked, "Am I staying here? If so, I want to rest!"
"Mrs. Wu, take the young lady to her room to rest!" Henry Hargrave loudly instructed toward the nanny’s room, and Mrs. Wu responded, bringing Beatrice upstairs.
"Hmph! What future can a wild, uncultured girl have!" Watching Beatrice’s figure disappear at the corner of the stairs, Josephine Hawthorne criticized unhappily.
Henry Hargrave turned his gaze over, "What do you know? Beatrice, no matter how bad she is, is still my daughter. Bringing her back is a win-win!"
"Hmph, are you sure she can succeed?" Josephine Hawthorne defiantly retorted. Henry Hargrave snorted coldly, "She hasn’t even officially debuted yet and already has so many fans. Anyone with eyes can see it."
"Grayson, tell me the truth, is bringing her back really just because of the company?" Josephine Hawthorne pursued relentlessly, Henry Hargrave glanced at her casually, "What do you think?"
Just as Josephine was about to speak again, Hannah Hargrave had already brought Nicholas Croft back, seeing her parents in a tense standoff, she shut the door and asked curiously, "Dad, Mom, what’s going on? Are you guys arguing?"
Josephine Hawthorne folded her arms and snorted coldly, "It’s that whore’s daughter again!"
With a quick glance around, Hannah sat down in front of her mother and smiled as she advised, "Mom, don’t take it too seriously, it’s been so many years, and that woman is dead. What’s the point of holding onto it?"
"Hannah, why are you..." Josephine looked at her daughter incredulously, not expecting her to not side with her.
Gently pinching her mother’s arm, Hannah smiled and said, "Dad has his reasons for bringing Beatrice back. Anyway, our Hargrave house is big enough, it’s just one more pair of utensils."
"Look, Hannah is still more sensible than you! Josephine, I’m saying it upfront today, in our home, you and Beatrice can argue as much as you want, but in front of the media, whether you like it or not, you need to act!" Henry Hargrave said seriously. With her daughter’s hint, Josephine snorted angrily but said no more.
