Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride-Chapter 965 - 961: Handsome Uncle, I’m Leaving
Even though she slept very late, when the alarm rang from the phone in her backpack on the carpet, Sophie Foster jolted awake.
Glancing around at the unfamiliar setting, she was momentarily bewildered. Feeling the arm wrapped around her waist, she suddenly recalled what was going on. She gently lifted the arm hugging her, turned over, and propped her head up to look at the man fast asleep, a natural smile tugging at her lips.
The handsome man looked great, even asleep he was so pleasing to the eye.
His brows were like swords, not particularly thick, and his brow bone was very high, giving a very defined and deep appearance.
His eyelashes weren’t especially long, but they were dense, casting a noticeable shadow under his eyes.
His nose was prominent, they’d say that a man’s nose—well, that area would be big too...
Though she hadn’t dared to look, the handsome man’s must be quite large, because... she had a tough time handling it.
Her gaze fell on Nicholas Croft’s lips. She liked the way the handsome man kissed her, very gentle, not at all rough.
Sophie Foster thought, she should greet the handsome man before leaving.
Seeing Nicholas Croft still asleep, she lightly poked his shoulder socket, "Handsome man, I’m leaving."
"Be good, don’t make a fuss," Nicholas Croft frowned his handsome brows, grasping Sophie’s fingers and pressing them to his chest.
Sophie Foster...
Puffing her cheeks, she was actually very sleepy too, but she still had to go hand out flyers.
She tried to withdraw her hand, but Nicholas Croft held it tighter, so she spoke again, "Handsome man, you sleep by yourself, I have to go to work."
Nicholas Croft slowly opened his eyes, looking at the face with smudged makeup in front of him, his frowning brows showing a bit of drowsiness, "Work? You have a job during the day?"
"Yeah," Sophie Foster nodded, her lips pursed. Some of her dreadlocks had loosened, and most of her heavy makeup had rubbed off, revealing much of her natural features, making her look much younger than her heavily made-up self, like a girl still in school.
Letting go of Sophie’s hand, Nicholas Croft leaned against the bed and massaged his temples with a sigh, "Help me light a cigarette."
"Oh," Sophie Foster responded, glancing around. Seeing the cigarette box on Nicholas Croft’s side of the cabinet, she didn’t get out of bed to get it, but instead crawled over him to grab the cigarette box.
She pulled a cigarette out and placed it on Nicholas Croft’s lips, and he cooperatively opened his mouth. Sophie cupped a lighter in her hands and lit the cigarette.
She placed the cigarette box and lighter next to Nicholas Croft, then flipped the blanket and got out of bed, picking up her clothes from the carpet, putting them on one by one.
Nicholas Croft exhaled smoke slowly, his gaze always following Sophie Foster.
After getting dressed, Sophie picked up her backpack and hugged it in front of her as she opened it. Nicholas Croft frowned; the quality of this backpack shouldn’t exceed a hundred bucks.
From her backpack, Sophie pulled out a wallet, an international brand, LV. When she opened the wallet, Nicholas Croft frowned again; if he wasn’t mistaken, her wallet wasn’t even a knockoff.
He instinctively asked, "Where did you buy the wallet?"
Sophie paused her movement of opening the wallet, raised it towards Nicholas Croft, "This one?"
"Yeah," Nicholas Croft took another puff of the cigarette, his gaze falling on the wallet in Sophie’s hand.
Discussing the price of her wallet, Sophie couldn’t help but feel proud on her little face. She opened the wallet clasp and said, "Mine is super cheap; Lily spent several hundred, I only spent twenty."
While Nicholas Croft was frowning, Sophie had already taken two hundred bucks from the thin wallet, fastened the clasp, and put it back in her backpack.
