Chapter 997: Chapter 993: Shrunk a Lot

Sitting in Nicholas Croft’s car, Sophie Foster’s lips were always curving upwards. Uncle Nicholas didn’t want her gone; he was just intentionally ignoring her because she had made a mistake...

Turning to look at the man seriously driving, she clung to Nicholas Croft’s arm like sticky rice. "Uncle..."

"Hmm?" Nicholas Croft glanced over, thinking she had something to say, but Sophie just smiled up at him with her small face, continuing to call, "Uncle."

With a light laugh, Nicholas Croft’s eyebrows and eyes softened. He grabbed Sophie’s hand, kissed it, and then placed it on the steering wheel. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

He always knew her dependency on him. Even though she was more mature than others her age, she was still a child who hadn’t yet grown up.

Back at the villa, Aunt Wang had prepared a late-night snack, cola chicken wings, Sophie’s favorite.

Seeing Sophie and Nicholas Croft walk in together, Aunt Wang busied herself with placing the chicken wings on the dining table and asked, "Miss Lara, why haven’t you come home for several days?"

"Oh, I’ve been... a bit busy lately," Sophie replied, taking off her Martin boots and switching to the slippers Nicholas Croft handed her. Her expression seemed a bit unnatural, her small hand constantly enveloped in Nicholas’s big hand, not letting go even as they changed shoes.

After placing the late-night snack on the dining table, Aunt Wang returned to her own room.

Nicholas Croft led Sophie into the hall, glanced back at her, and asked, "Do you want to eat the late-night snack here or go back to the room?"

Sophie puffed out her cheeks, her small face slightly flushed. "Back to the room."

"Okay," Nicholas Croft released Sophie’s hand, walked to the wine cabinet to get some red wine and wine glasses, while Sophie picked up the chicken wings and shuffled upstairs in her slippers.

Back in the bedroom, Sophie placed the chicken wings on the coffee table, kicked off her slippers, and sat on the carpet. Nicholas Croft also came over, placing the red wine and glasses on the coffee table, smiling as he asked, "Hungry?"

Sophie took a bite of a chicken wing, accusing Nicholas Croft with a pitiful look, "Uncle ignored Lara, Lara ate noodles for a whole week."

Nicholas Croft raised an eyebrow in confusion, sitting down on the sofa. "Punishing yourself for making a mistake?"

"No way!" Sophie shot Nicholas Croft an annoyed glance. "Uncle didn’t want Lara anymore, so Lara had to save money and economize to pay the rent."

"Little one, when did I ever say I didn’t want you anymore!"

Nicholas Croft leaned over, lifting the little eater sitting on the carpet into his lap. He looked at her oil-stained lips, pulled out a tissue to wipe them, then pressed his thin lips onto hers.

Catching Sophie’s lips, softly sucking, one large hand slid along her neckline, gently kneading as Nicholas said, "Uncle hasn’t helped you massage for a few days, you’ve gotten smaller..."

Held in Nicholas Croft’s arms, the intimate scene was comically awkward. Sophie held half a chicken wing in one hand, wanting to wrap her arm around Nicholas Croft’s neck but worried she might dirty his shirt, leaving her hand suspended in the air.

"Lara, can we eat the late-night snack later, okay?"

"Hmm... okay..."

A current coursed through her body, and the chicken wing dropped from Sophie’s hand onto the carpet.

Nicholas Croft stood up, carrying Sophie towards the bathroom.

They initially planned to take a bath together, but once they were in the bathroom, Nicholas Croft changed his mind. He placed Sophie in front of the sink, his lips and tongue wandering along her nape, a murmuring sound spilling over, "Be good, wash your hands..."

Suppressing her body’s trembling, Sophie turned on the tap, squeezed hand soap into her palm. Just as her hands reached under the faucet, the man’s large hand fell onto the decorative belt at her waist from behind.
