Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 28: Release Them After Dark
In the bustling shopping mall, the man stood upstairs looking down and caught sight of Serena Sullivan being wheeled out in a wheelchair. ๐ป๐ณโฏโฏ๐คโฏ๐ท๐ฏโด๐โฏ๐ญ.๐โด๐
Her face was turned towards him, her expression indifferent, her eyes somberly fixed on the road ahead. Even when passersby pointed at her, she remained as calm as ever.
His gaze drifted down to her legs, and his nerves were stabbed, jumping painfully to the bone.
The long skirt that reached her ankles covered her legs, leaving the insides invisible!
If it werenโt for this wheelchair, no one would believe someone as beautiful and intelligent as her would be a woman who couldnโt even stand up with crippled legs!
"Sir!"
Yvette Sterlingโs voice came from behind, but Ethan Grantโs gaze remained at the mall exit. He pulled out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and smoked fiercely.
Soon, smoke enveloped his front, a cold aura seeping from his handsome face, his eyes unknowingly turning fiercely harsh.
"Theyโre locked in the restroom."
Yvette felt a chill run through him as he looked at Ethan Grantโs back.
The man stood upright, his eyes darkly fixed downstairs, a cigarette in hand, inhaling continuously. In just a moment, the choking smell of smoke permeated the air, making Yvette cough twice uncontrollably.
"Then keep them locked up!"
The ice-cold voice delivered without a trace of warmth, as he turned his head, his typically cold and deep eyes now dark, making Yvette tremble.
Everyone believed Mr. Grant to be indifferent and unfeeling, yet to Yvette, Mr. Grant was more frightening than they imagined, coldness being merely a facade. Mr. Grant was obsessively extreme, sinister, fierce, and utterly merciless inside.
Ethan Grant quickly finished his cigarette, reached into his pocket for another, his hand touched the hard phone, thought of something, his sinister eyes became more frightening, the faint voice made Yvette sense a bloody aura, "Let them out after dark."
Yvette replied, "Yes," watching Mr. Grant turn back to look downstairs. Tonight in Solaria, there was sure to be unrest!
No one would ever imagine Mr. Grant was sick, sick to the point of loving someone to the extreme, to a hopeless degree.
Ever since Zoe Quinn followed Joel Quinn to The Sullivan Family, she hadnโt suffered any grievances.
In the dark utility room, she cursed Serena Sullivan a thousand times in her heart, and together with Shannon Shaw, they made desperate noises inside.
Whether it was because of the "Maintenance" sign they might have set up, or because Serena pulled some tricks upon leaving, the outside was eerily quiet โ no voices, not even footsteps.
Their phones rang one after another, the flashing lights offered them hope, yet with their mouths gagged with rags and hands bound, unable to struggle free, crying was all they could do, as time passed, they waited in unconscious despair.
In their exhaustion, there was finally sound outside.
The door of the utility room was opened, restroom lights shining in, instantly stinging Zoe Quinnโs eyes. Seeing the person standing at the door was Yvette Sterling, her heart raced with excitement, sobbing with joy and grievance.
"Whereโs Ethan? I want to see Ethan!"
Having been locked up for so long, Zoe Quinn cried and collapsed to the ground, clutching Yvetteโs hand, sobbing heavily.
She must tell Ethan about the grievances she suffered today; Serena was so malicious to her, she deserved a terrible end!
