Chapter 445: Chapter 444: Learning the Truth

As she approached the hospital, Finn Chandler received a call from Anna Morgan.

Anna Morgan asked her where she was over the phone.

She replied that she was at the hospital.

Anna Morgan kept asking her, what happened to Serena Sullivan?

Upon hearing Anna Morgan recount the events at The Sullivan Residence half an hour ago, Finn Chandler realized something had happened to Serena.

She understood why Ethan Grant was waiting for her in the hospital park.

But, Serena was in the hospital room waiting, why did Ethan Grant arrange to meet her in the park!

Did he discover Serena’s condition!

"Mr. Grant."

Finn Chandler approached and greeted Ethan Grant.

Ethan Grant, who was smoking heavily, raised his head to look at Finn Chandler, lowered his voice and said, "Sit!"

He gestured to the seat beside him; he seemed ready for a long conversation with Finn Chandler.

Finn Chandler did not go over to sit; she stood in front of Ethan Grant, looking down at this man.

Compared to Ethan four years ago, the Ethan Grant now was much more mature, much colder. He was no longer The Grant Family’s young master focused only on pleasure; he was Mr. Grant, the one controlling The Grant Corporation.

However, regardless of the identity, Finn Chandler did not like him!

It was this man who broke Serena Sullivan’s heart, ruining her life.

"Speak then."

Finn Chandler directly spoke.

Ethan Grant raised his head to glance at Finn Chandler and continued smoking the cigarette in his hand.

Thick smoke surrounded them, and Finn Chandler softened her voice, asking again, "Ethan Grant, if you have nothing to say, I’ll go check on Serena."

Finn Chandler turned to leave, and Ethan Grant stopped her, "What’s the situation with Serena?"

Finn Chandler knew Ethan Grant was asking her about Serena’s matters, and she guessed what he would ask.

Upon actually hearing the question, she still felt a jolt in her heart.

"I asked the doctor."

"Since you’ve asked the doctor, why do you come to ask me again?"

Finn Chandler turned her head to meet Ethan Grant’s gaze, startled by the deep dullness in his eyes.

It was well known that this man loved Serena Sullivan deeply.

"What’s wrong with Serena?"

Ethan Grant asked again, in a subdued tone.

"Is it very bad?"

He stared at Finn Chandler, repeatedly asking, "Can you tell me?"

Finn Chandler knew Serena didn’t want her situation revealed to Ethan Grant.

Now that Ethan Grant had asked, she hesitated, struggling with whether to speak or not.

"Finn Chandler."

Ethan Grant extinguished the cigarette butt in his hand and said earnestly, "I beg you to tell me; I want to know everything."

"I can’t bear to see Serena suffer."

"Suffering? No," Finn Chandler smiled; she truly did not like Ethan Grant.

What was so good about this man to make Serena Sullivan love him so profoundly?

If she didn’t love Ethan Grant too much, she wouldn’t have insisted on calling him during the car accident, leading to the subsequent pain.

"It’s just that her fainting spells are happening more frequently, and lasting longer."

Finn Chandler continued in a very light tone, but inside, she felt particularly distressed.

Ethan Grant nodded; he recalled that what Finn Chandler described matched Serena’s condition.

The initial fainting spells, he thought she was simply tired.

Gradually, the occurrences increased, the duration lengthened, and he realized something was very wrong.

"And then?"

"Will it always be like this?"

As Ethan Grant asked, he noticed his voice lightly trembling.

He actually knew the answer; he asked only to hear Finn Chandler’s confirmation.

"No."

However, Finn Chandler’s response was "No."

"Then what will happen?"

Ethan Grant asked again.

Finn Chandler looked at Ethan Grant staring at her, the smile on her lips growing wider.
