Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 451 - 450: You’re the Culprit
"What did you say!"
Upon hearing Finn’s words, Ethan Grant immediately stood up from the bed, tightly gripping his phone, and briskly walked towards the door of the ward.
Beside the door, Claire Sullivan looked at Ethan Grant, whose expression had changed and whose whole body was tense, in confusion. Her intuition told her something was wrong, so she followed him.
"Serena wasn’t coming to see you?"
"What do you mean she didn’t come!"
Things were getting out of control.
Ethan Grant had deliberately let Serena Sullivan leave, allowing her to leave the hospital. He was so convinced that Serena would be looking for Finn Chandler that he forgot his Serena was very smart.
She must have discovered the odd behavior between him and Finn, knowing the two of them had secretly met, so she changed her plan, got into the car, and left without going to Finn.
However, Serena couldn’t move her legs well. She wouldn’t be able to leave the hospital alone, so someone must have helped her.
"I’ll have someone check the hospital’s surveillance immediately."
Suppressing his anxious and panicked emotions, Ethan Grant tried to calm himself. He hung up the phone and quickened his steps to the end of the hallway.
"What’s going on with Serena?"
Following behind him, Claire Sullivan saw Ethan Grant’s complexion change after receiving the call, and she asked repeatedly.
Ethan Grant ignored her. He reached the elevator door and looked at his tense reflection and the anxious Claire Sullivan on the shiny surface, making him even more anxious.
In that instant, all the panic and anxiety turned into anger!
Clenching his hands tightly, he heard Claire Sullivan continue to ask him.
"Has something happened to Serena?"
"Yes!"
Ethan Grant turned around, coldly staring at Claire Sullivan. His icy glare made Claire Sullivan’s heart twist tighter.
"Claire Sullivan, your daughter doesn’t have much time left to live!"
"And the culprit behind all of this is you!"
Ethan Grant’s smile grew deeper and colder as the elevator doors opened. He stepped in and, seeing Claire Sullivan’s increasingly pale face, he chuckled. Right before the elevator doors closed, he continued, "And me!"
His voice was low and somber, filled with powerless hatred. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Hate!
Who does he hate!
Isn’t he the one who pushed Serena into hell!
"Ethan Grant, what do you mean! What do you mean there’s not much time left to live!"
With the elevator doors closed, Claire Sullivan, snapping back from her shock, frantically pounded the door and shouted loudly.
But the only response she got was the sound of the elevator doors echoing from her own pounding.
She wanted to verify Ethan Grant’s words, but Ethan’s expression, his gaze, his icy words had already given her the answer, hadn’t they?
Her daughter, due to the car accident four years ago, doesn’t have many days left to live!
And now, she might be missing, and Ethan Grant doesn’t know Serena’s whereabouts!
Her heart completely sank to the bottom when she realized this. Standing there, Claire Sullivan felt faint, and as she was about to fall, she leaned against the wall and slowly sat down.
Serena is going to be gone!
This thought flashed repeatedly in her mind. She couldn’t hold herself anymore and leaned against the wall, not caring it was a public place or if anyone would come by, she cried sadly.
A patient and family member approached to wait for the elevator and saw Claire Sullivan, wearing a hospital gown, sitting on the ground, covering her face with her injured hand, crying loudly. They stepped forward to ask her if she needed help.
Crying inconsolably, Claire Sullivan raised her head and blurry-eyed looked at the people around her, replying, "My daughter can’t be found, can you help me find her?"
"She’s fading away soon, I don’t want her to be gone!"
