Chapter 44 -44 Three People Snickering
She didn’t know the panic he felt when he couldn’t find her.
Early in the morning, he waited at her doorstep for a long time without seeing her come out, and then he waited a bit longer but instead of her, her father showed up.
He got out of the car to ask, only to hear the words “Xiaxia rushed to the airport early in the morning”.
At that moment, he only heard the word “airport” and was instantly surrounded by a chill, his heart filling with panic.
He feared that she would disappear without a trace just like she had six years ago, and asked Su’s father anxiously, “What is she going to the airport for?”
Only when he heard from Su’s father that she was going to Bali Island for an inspection did his heart finally settle down.
After bidding farewell to Su’s father, he drove back to the company in annoyance, and then he found out that she had gone with that guy named Meng Can, which instantly made the great CEO Mu Yingchen overturn a jar of vinegar. He dialed that infuriating woman’s phone over and over, but couldn’t get through, couldn’t get through. He thought, she must be on the plane by now.
After some thought, he dialed Ji Hua’s phone number, but no one answered.
His face darkened again in an instant, and he had no choice but to call Mu Chuyang and ask him to rush to the airport to fly to Bali Island. If he could, he really wanted to fly to her side right away and drag her back.
Gathering his thoughts, he furrowed his brows tightly. He was not someone who normally showed his emotions, but when it came to her, he lost all self-control.
He turned and walked to the liquor cabinet, took out a bottle of whisky and poured it into an elegant crystal glass, downing it in one gulp.
Su Wanxia and Meng Can went straight to Denpasar Province after dinner and returned to their respective rooms. Around 10 o’clock, Mu Chuyang called, and Su Wanxia helplessly gave him the address. Mu Chuyang then came over without delay.
“Wanxia, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have free time to come here,” Mu Chuyang said with a smug smile on his face.
Seeing this made Su Wanxia want to cover his face with a cloth.
“What? You’re happy to come here?” Su Wanxia said grumpily. Mu Yingchen was really something. Was it not just a few days? Yet he had to place a surveillance device by her side.
But Mu Chuyang didn’t feel sad about being used by his big brother as a surveillance device, “Happy? It’s simple—I’m both excited and thrilled.”
“Wanxia, you don’t know, ever since I came back to the country, I’ve been oppressed by those three every day, not a single day of peace,” he said.
“Hmph, now that I finally got out, I won’t go back unless I have enough fun!”
Su Wanxia couldn’t help but laugh at Mu Chuyang’s triumphant look, “Alright, go to sleep early. We’re getting up early tomorrow.”
“OK, tomorrow I definitely want to explore every corner of Bali Island,” he said.
Su Wanxia gave him a look and turned back to her room. She wouldn’t tell him that they were going to be busy all day tomorrow—let him be happy for one night.
The next day, the three of them got up early, had a European-style breakfast, and set off for their destination.
Bali Island is an Indonesian island located at the western end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, roughly diamond-shaped with its main axis running east-west. Covering an area of about 5620 square kilometers, it has a population of around 4 million people. The terrain is higher in the east and lower in the west, with a mountain range traversing it, featuring more than ten volcanic cones. Mount Agong in the eastern part stands at 3142 meters above sea level, making it the highest peak on the island. With plentiful sunshine, most areas get about 1500 millimeters of rainfall per year, and the dry season lasts about six months.
As one of the world’s tourism sanctuaries, it is famed for its temple architecture, sculpture, painting, music, textiles, dancing, and scenery.
Su Wanxia couldn’t help but admire how, as a successful entrepreneur, Mu Yingchen’s vision was extremely precise; he had chosen a superb geographical location. The hotel covered a vast area, surrounded by a large body of water, adjacent to the white sands and blue waters. In this sea area, guests could fully enjoy the blue sky, white clouds, and turquoise sea, savoring the comfortable and leisurely open space.
The project engineer immediately showed greater respect to the three of them when he heard that Mu Chuyang was there to inspect the site at the behest of President Mu.
Su Wanxia offered an embarrassed smile and explained that she and Meng Can were also participants in the project, actually there to survey the site and local customs, and the project leader began to describe everything to them at the construction site one by one.
In Bali Island, 90% of the 4 million inhabitants are Muslim, and the Muslims hold great respect for their deities. Statues of the gods are carved from coconut wood, which is why buildings in Bali cannot be taller than coconut trees, and so you won’t see high-rise buildings there.
Therefore, the tallest structure in this project was no more than three stories high.
Actually, Su Wanxia and Meng Can had already researched all of this and didn’t need the project leader to say much more; they understood it all.
Mu Chuyang didn’t know much about these architectural details, and he really wanted to go and have a good time on those golden beaches, but his elder brother had specifically instructed him not to leave Wanxia’s side and to keep by her at all times, reporting her status to him periodically.
When he heard this before coming, his mouth had hung agape wide enough to fit an egg, as it turned out his brother had essentially turned him into a personal monitor.
So, suppressing his urge to frolic, he followed Su Wanxia and Meng Can listlessly.
After nearly a day at the construction site, Su Wanxia finally wore a relaxed smile.
“Wanxia, does this mean the work is done?” Mu Chuyang asked expectantly, looking at her.
Su Wanxia smiled helplessly, “Yes, it’s done. Let’s go, we can go eat!”
“Summer, when are we going back?” Meng Can asked with a smile.
Su Wanxia’s eyes twinkled, “Hmm, since it’s not often we get to come here, let’s treat it as a vacation. How does staying a few more days before we go back sound?”
“Great, I love it,” Mu Chuyang exclaimed excitedly, finally getting a reprieve from those tedious days.
“That works for me, I quite like it here too,” Meng Can said with a smile.
Su Wanxia laughed secretly in her heart; she really didn’t know how to face Mu Yingchen, and now, just in time, she could relax and enjoy herself on the beautiful Bali Island.
The next day, the three of them started their cheerful vacation, high-spirited.
Today, Su Wanxia was dressed in a loose, white, long dress, her black hair casually draped, wearing a pink sunhat, looking effortlessly fresh and pretty.

Standing on the soft beach, Su Wanxia felt especially content. Looking out, she saw different colors from near to far: a blue expanse in the distance, green in the middle, and yellow closest, creating a dazzling watercolor scene.
Her lips curved into a gentle smile as she opened her arms, tilting her head back and slowly closing her eyes, letting the sea breeze envelop her.
Her white dress fluttered and black hair lifted by the breeze, the morning light cast a faint golden sheen on her, beautifully dreamlike.
Mu Chuyang was stunned for a moment, and then quickly took out his phone to capture the scene, surreptitiously sending the picture to Mu Yingchen with an added comment: The goddess has dazzled my eyes.
Mu Yingchen was in a meeting when his phone ‘dinged’.
As he had carelessly placed his phone on the table during the meeting, all the executives glanced at it, then quickly bowed their heads because they could feel their big BOSS’s anger; there had been a slight mishap handled by the public relations department, and at that moment Mu Yingchen’s stern face was emitting a chilling aura.
