Mr. Sterling, Mrs. Sterling is Multifaceted!-Chapter 296: To This Extent
Gradually, Ethan Sterling couldn’t control himself from deepening the kiss, filled with a sense of aggression, tightly pressing against her lips, wanting to seize and dominate all her flavors.
Both were deeply invested in the kiss, their breaths entwined, as if making up for all the kisses owed during this period.
Gradually, the taste of iron spread into both their mouths, unexpectedly making the kiss even more seductive and alluring.
It was unclear whose mouth was injured, but they were both covered in wounds.
Seraphina Redgrave felt Ethan’s kiss losing control, and with her hands pushing against his chest, she said, "There are others here, don’t get carried away."
The kiss was interrupted, and Ethan looked displeased, casting a deathly stare at the driver’s seat.
"..."
The driver, who was initially focused on the road ahead, felt a chill down his neck, and a glance in the rearview mirror nearly frightened him unconscious.
Seraphina held Ethan’s face, directing him to look at her, then extended her fingers to gently wipe his lips.
His lips were even drier than hers, feeling like they could crack with a touch.
Ethan squinted, enjoying her touch, and even cracked a smile at some point, "After staying in that place for a few days, you finally realize how good I’ve been to you, right?"
"I’ve always known how good you are to me."
Upon hearing this, Ethan opened his eyes.
Seraphina met his gaze, and after a pause, added, "Just didn’t know you were this good to me."
How good, indeed?
Good enough to rescue her despite getting himself bruised and battered, good enough to declare he would reveal the secret of Veridian Isle, causing chaos throughout Country Z, all to avenge her.
Ethan’s eyes showed joy as he rested his forehead against hers, a drop of blood seeping out as he pulled a smile, he nonchalantly licked it and said to her, "To me, you’re absolutely enthralled by me too. You used to repeatedly claim on the phone that you never loved me, but now? Truly a little liar."

That familiar feeling of someone deserving a punch was unmistakable.
It was truly Ethan, being able to say something like that even after everything they had been through.
But this time, Seraphina didn’t feel speechless at all.
Her heart felt sour, as if filled with something, her eyes moist.
She had already thought about how to cross The Oblivion Bridge, how to drink the bowl of Lady Meng’s soup, and even wished for a plain and ordinary life in her next one.
But now, someone had pulled her back from the brink of death.
If she ignored his body covered in scars, it seemed as if nothing had happened before.
She wasn’t captured, wasn’t tormented, and he never said he would avenge her.
"Why are you smiling?"
Ethan, with some annoyance, ruffled her hair.
Seraphina immediately noticed the bruising on his hand, pulling it over to focus on his index finger.
His hand was the most beautiful she had ever seen, with distinct and long, fair fingers, but now, these sculpted-like fingers were covered in blood, even the fingernail on the index was missing.
"How did it end up like this?"
She asked, wanting to touch it but scared of causing him pain.
"The refugees tore it off, not sure who exactly, otherwise they wouldn’t be alive now."
The cargo hold was too dark then, he couldn’t make out the faces of those people, so this vengeance couldn’t be exacted.
Refugees?
Seraphina was momentarily stunned, a ridiculous thought arising in her mind, staring at him in disbelief, opening her mouth several times but unable to make a sound, "You smuggled back on a cargo ship?"
Otherwise, she truly couldn’t imagine how such a noble tycoon had the chance to come into contact with refugees and end up with all these injuries.
"Yes." Ethan responded very casually, as if it was no big deal, "But that ship was unbelievably slow, if I could’ve taken a plane, I would’ve come to save you sooner, sparing you so much pain."
So, that’s why Ethan’s attire seemed like that—it was to impersonate a refugee.
In such a constricted and cramped space, drifting on the sea with a group of unpredictable maniacs for over twenty hours, all just to rescue her.
And smuggling is something where people might never leave the ship once aboard, had he not considered he might end up buried at sea?
Seraphina furrowed her brows, pressing her lips together, suddenly hugging Ethan tightly, gripping his shoulders, resting her chin where his shoulder met his neck, her nose sour, throat blocked with something.
For the first time in her life, she felt such deep heartache and sorrow.
"..."
Ethan was momentarily stunned by her sudden initiative, then responded by embracing her back, "What’s wrong, little one?"
"Nothing, I just feel..."
Seraphina took a long pause, unable to voice it, taking a deep breath, "Fortunate to have met you, Ethan."
A veil of mist covered her eyes, making everything seem unreal.
"..."
Ethan felt her body trembling, his eyes darkened, emotions roaring inside him. He didn’t want to hold back anymore, gripping Seraphina’s shoulders, pulling them apart, then kissed her lips again, savoring her taste.
This time, Seraphina was extremely proactive, imitating him, kissing passionately.
It was unknown how much time passed before this intensely emotional kiss gradually came to an end.
Leaning against Ethan’s chest, slightly out of breath, Seraphina spoke, "Ethan, I’m a bit tired, I want to take a nap."
"Alright."
Ethan wrapped his arms around her, then used his unswollen right hand to gently open her collar, checking her wounds.
Seraphina held his fingers, soothingly said, "It’s okay, Miles Harrington has already sent people to treat them, look, I can still move my hands."
"Let me just have a look for peace of mind." Ethan comforted her, it had been so long, and he still hadn’t seen what her injuries truly looked like, were they serious?
"Then we’ll wait until we get home."
Actually, it was because when she changed clothes earlier, she exerted too much force, the wound tore open again, now a bloody mess, and it didn’t look good.
Seraphina continued, "There’s one more thing I want to discuss with you, can I stay at your private villa from now on?"
"Stay there? Why?"
Ethan couldn’t quite understand.
"Your father knows that I usually stay at the Hibiscus Garden, so it’s easy for him to find me there, but your private villa is more confidential and spacious, even if your father does come after us, it would give us time to react and come up with a plan."
Seraphina buried her head into his shoulder nook, continued saying, "Of course, since that place is where your sister and mother rest eternally, if you feel I might disturb them, you can find another place for me to stay."
"Aren’t you scared?"
"Hmm?"
What’s there to be scared of?
"That place is where the deceased are buried."
Of course, Ethan was willing for Seraphina to stay there, but to others, that place was a cemetery he had dedicated for his sister and mother.
