Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 115: Simon Sue
Audrey Sutton had been infatuated with Shane Warner for a long time, so while others were chasing after stars at a young age, she was only obsessed with Shane.
Now that she’s past the phase of being a starstruck little girl, she hardly pays attention to the new celebrities coming out. However, she heard people mention that star’s name during a discussion.
She found it somewhat familiar, as if Barry Barrett had mentioned it before.
Barry was the only star-chaser in their dorm. After arriving at the classroom, Audrey curiously asked her about it.
Barry put on a disdainful look, deliberately exaggerating as she said, "You guys don’t even know Simon Sue?! Didn’t we just watch the movie where he played the gang leader together not long ago? He was so roguishly handsome in it!"
Seraphina Vaughn, munching on a lollipop, boredly said, "How long ago was that? I’ve already forgotten what I watched."
Flora Lane mused, "Now that you mention it, I kind of remember. He was pretty handsome, but too young for my taste. I’m looking for someone older, like the Third Young Master, who’s considerate."
Audrey Sutton: "Keep dreaming!"
Flora Lane rolled her eyes at her: "Why are you so anxious? I said I’m looking for someone like the Third Young Master, not trying to steal your husband. But if your sister Flora puts in some effort, maybe your position as the Third Young Mistress won’t be that stable."
Barry, engrossed in her idol, didn’t join in Flora’s teasing. Instead, she pulled up a post and said, "Check out this video; before National Day, a girl from my cosplay circle had a chance encounter with Sean. Look at that face, photographed perfectly from any angle, he looks handsome in every shot."
Audrey was curious just how handsome he was and craned her neck to take a look.
He did have fair features and good looks, but compared to her Shane, he fell short.
No way was he the apple of her eye!
The aura was just completely different!
In Audrey’s mind, no one could compare to her husband. She felt that if Shane Warner were to debut, all these young idols would be sidelined.
Wait a minute, as Audrey kept watching, she noticed something odd—those smoky purple hair and the light purple suit...
The more she looked, the more familiar it seemed.
Her mind suddenly froze... wasn’t this the person she met at the flower shop that day?!
Though he was wearing a mask when they had met, the hair color and uniquely colored suit must be the same.
Recalling that day, he did say, "We’ll meet again." Audrey couldn’t help but feel a chill down her spine.
Could it be he recognized her back then?
Since marrying Shane Warner, her appearances in the news weren’t few, and she arguably had some minor fame now.
But it seemed Simon Sue not only recognized her, he evidently knew something more about her or had investigated her, otherwise how would he know she attended this school.
That’s why he was confident saying, "We’ll meet again."
"Let’s swing by the performing arts department after class, we might get lucky and bump into him," Barry said excitedly, her mind preoccupied with this matter, not even paying attention to class.
Audrey kept feeling something was off.
As soon as class ended, before Barry could drag them to find someone, a crowd of crazy fangirls downstairs had already identified the target for them.
It seemed he truly was a big star, coming to school with both his agent and bodyguard.
Simon Sue wasn’t wearing a mask or sunglasses today, his peach blossom eyes exuded a captivating beauty, and his lips curled into a sunny smile.
His hair was dyed a conventional shade of dark brown, and he wore the school uniform; his looks made the uniform seem out of the ordinary.
A crowd of girls was filming him on their phones, some even handing out notebooks and pens for his autograph, but his bodyguard and agent blocked them.
Simon Sue, fond of his fans, waved to them and reminded them to be safe.
Barry, filming with her phone, sighed, "Sean is simply our little angel!"
Audrey Sutton: "..."
For some reason, seeing too many fake people left her skeptical of everyone now.
Especially after her encounter with Simon Sue, something about him felt odd.
In the afternoon, a new spicy hot pot restaurant opened across from the school, and Flora had booked seats online in advance for the opening discounts.
Simon Sue’s visit to their school was evidently big news, Audrey heard several nearby booths—both male and female—debating about it.
Taking advantage of the meal break, Audrey sent Shane Warner a WhatsApp message asking if he’d eaten, and recommended the newly opened hot pot place to him.
He might have been busy, as there was no response for a while.
"Sutton, did you check the trending topics?" originally browsing Simon Sue’s leaked photos, Barry suddenly asked.
Audrey Sutton shook her head blankly, and Barry handed over her phone. Audrey and Flora leaned over to look. Flora read aloud: "Latest news, Wallace Warner just passed away at the City Hospital due to illness..."
Barry muttered, "Is it true? Could it be a rumor?"
Audrey furrowed her brows and hurriedly called Shane Warner.
It rang for a while before he picked up, his tone calm, "What’s up?"
"About grandpa..."
His voice sounded quite relaxed: "You found out already?"
"Are you at the hospital now? I’ll come find you."
Shane Warner paused before lightly uttering, "Sure, call me when you get here."
Audrey put down her chopsticks halfway through her meal, quickly packed her phone, and left in a hurry.
While waiting by the roadside, she saw Simon Sue and his agent coming from across the street.
Audrey quickly diverted her gaze, pretending not to see, but Simon Sue seemed to have noticed her.
Her ride arrived just as he was nearing, and she quickly hopped in, pulling the car door closed behind her.
A group of girls on the street noticed Simon Sue and immediately surrounded him.
Sitting in the car, Audrey glanced at Simon Sue through the window and suddenly realized his gaze seemed just to have shifted from her direction, and he was smiling and greeting his female fans.
She sat in the car, feeling more and more that Simon Sue had something odd about him.
Opening her phone, she searched his name, and unexpectedly saw an entertainment news piece from a year ago: The Ballet Queen presents an award to Simon Sue at a film festival.
Audrey clicked in to see, and indeed, the "Ballet Queen" referred to Clarissa Morgan.
Whether just acquaintances or more familiar, Audrey decided to keep her distance from Simon Sue.
Intuition told her Simon Sue’s appearance was no coincidence.
When Audrey arrived outside the hospital, she called Shane Warner, but it prompted that he was on another call.
She had visited the hospital several times during the holidays with Shane, so she directly went upstairs to find him.
At the end of the quiet and empty corridor, Audrey saw Shane Warner, along with Lan Irving standing across from him.
