Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 628: To Put It Simply, He Just Feels Sorry for You
Lana Holloway, who had been chatting with Hazel Yates with a smile, looked displeased immediately upon seeing Norman Sutton. She bluntly retorted to his question, "I don’t want to see you either!"
Norman Sutton: "Then get lost!"
Hazel Yates glared at him, "You get lost instead! Lana, let’s go inside and talk."
"Mom!"
Hazel Yates ignored Norman Sutton and led Lana Holloway into the house.
As Stephen Sutton parked the car and approached, Norman Sutton pulled him aside, "Brother! Why did you really bring her here?!"
Stephen Sutton chuckled and said, "Mom wants to discuss work with her, not arranging a blind date with you, so you don’t need to be so tense."
Norman Sutton widened his eyes, "Blind date?! Who wants to date her?! Annoying!"
After saying that, Norman Sutton angrily stormed back to his room.
Upon entering, he saw a full-length mirror beside the wardrobe. Stopping in front of it, he glanced at his disheveled hair and pajamas with slippers. He sighed in frustration.
He immediately rushed to the bathroom to wash his face, brush his teeth, shave, and fix his hair. Then he fished out a long-neglected suit from the wardrobe and adjusted it in front of the mirror for a while before pushing open the door and heading downstairs.
Downstairs, Audrey Sutton and others were sitting in the living room watching TV, while Hazel Yates and Lana Holloway were behind a European-style screen, discussing their matters.
"Ahem—" Norman Sutton coughed to attract attention. Audrey Sutton chuckled and asked him, "Where are you going, dressed like this? To receive an award? You haven’t participated in any competitions recently, have you?"
Norman Sutton rolled his eyes at her, "None of your business!"
Phoebe King teased, "All dressed up, why not have a quick blind date too?"
Norman Sutton: "Blind date my ass, I have things to do, okay." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Hazel Yates peeked at Norman Sutton through the screen’s gap and asked, "Are you going out?"
Norman Sutton came downstairs, plopped onto a single sofa, and started fiddling with a Rubik’s cube on the coffee table, saying, "I’ll go out after breakfast."
While everyone discussed Norman Sutton, Lana Holloway glanced at him, increasingly convinced there was something odd about him.
Hazel Yates continued giving embroidery tips with Yates Couture to Lana Holloway, saying, "I’ve seen your work. Teaching yourself to this level is amazing. I just wanted to understand your thoughts today because I can’t force you to change your life path to follow me."
Lana Holloway: "I have always admired you! I bought all your books on embroidery. I’m interested in it myself, but I’m only at a beginner level."
Hazel Yates laughed happily, "As long as you’re interested, I’d love to teach you. I think you’re in the same year as Audrey, right? If you have time in your senior year, you can find me anytime. I’ll be at The Yates Family estate; lately, I’ve been staying home because of the snow. You can contact me whenever, and I’ll gradually teach you everything I know."
Lana Holloway was visibly delighted, hardly believing such luck—a master she admired offered to mentor her, a dream she never dared to imagine.
"Auntie, I’m free lately, I..."
"Have you paid the tuition yet?" Norman Sutton suddenly walked over, standing by the screen with disdain and said to Lana Holloway, "This is my mom’s ancestral craft, and you think you can just learn it so easily?"
Before Lana Holloway could respond, Hazel Yates glared at Norman Sutton, "None of your business! If you’re idle, go take the trash out in the kitchen!"
"Mom! I’m the young master of the house!"
Hazel Yates: "There’s no shortage of young masters here, go busy yourself elsewhere."
With that, Hazel Yates signaled Phoebe King, who understood and said, "Sixth, your sister wants some fruits. Go to the kitchen and wash some."
"Wash it yourself!"
Sending Norman Sutton away, Hazel Yates apologized to Lana Holloway, "Lana, don’t take him seriously. If he ever bullies you, just come to me."
"Okay, Auntie. I’ll come back tomorrow. I have to go out this afternoon; a senior ordered a painting, and he’s coming to collect it. I need to prepare."
"Alright, I’ll have someone send you back. Also, stop calling me Auntie. It sounds distant, just call me Master."
Lana Holloway smiled sweetly and nodded, "Okay! Hello, Master!"
After the driver sent Lana Holloway off, Hazel Yates returned home, saying, "This girl has a nice temperament, seems well-mannered, but a bit young. Maybe she’d be a good match for Arthur."
Norman Sutton immediately retorted, "She’s not suitable at all, just a poor little girl. Who’s she worthy of?!"
Hazel Yates patiently advised him, "I’ve told you many times, think before you speak. Consider others’ feelings. If Lana heard you, she’d feel bad."
Norman Sutton grunted, "I didn’t wrong her."
With that, Norman Sutton suddenly dropped the Rubik’s cube, stood up, and yelled at the car nearing the villa gate, "Uncle Lowell! Wait a minute! I’m coming with you!"
After halting the car, Norman Sutton changed his shoes. Hazel Yates followed him asking, "Where are you going?"
"It’s stifling, I’m going for a walk."
With that, Norman Sutton laced up his shoes and left.
Hazel Yates called from the doorway, "You’re wearing so little?"
"Not cold!" Norman Sutton replied and, knowing the car was waiting, ambled over with his hands in his pockets.
Sitting in the car, Lana Holloway watched Norman Sutton with an irritated expression.
Norman Sutton opened the passenger door, glanced sideways at Lana Holloway, and snorted, "Someone actually bought your lousy painting?"
Lana Holloway rolled her eyes, ignoring his taunt, and turned to look out the window.
Once the car started, Norman Sutton asked again, "Which senior ordered it? Still that Senior Wilson?"
Lana Holloway: "None of your business."
Norman Sutton snorted, "Don’t get delusional. He’s about to study abroad. With all those fair-skinned, beautiful girls overseas, will he still remember you?"
Lana Holloway’s face turned slightly red, "Stop your nonsense! I’m just friends with him! I’m happy for him to study abroad!"
Norman Sutton: "Tsk tsk, does he need your happiness? Don’t overthink it. He just feels sorry for you because of your situation. Simply put, he pities you!"
