Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 747: Did That Kid’s Dad Get Cucked?
Lance Quincy walked over, heading straight toward the group of girls because he was only familiar with Phoebe King.
With a polite and gentlemanly smile, he greeted them, "Hello."
Phoebe King immediately asked Lance Quincy with dissatisfaction, "Why did you come empty-handed? Didn’t even buy a bouquet or something."
Lance Quincy was momentarily stunned, obviously not having considered that, and asked honestly, "Then should I go over there and see if there’s anyone selling flowers?"
"Forget it, forget it, bringing flowers to a blind date might seem a bit frivolous anyway, and that girl Lana probably wouldn’t care about such things."
Lance Quincy was again taken aback, turned slightly away with Phoebe King, and asked in a low voice, "Didn’t you say you had a task for me? Is this really a blind date?"
Phoebe King: "Just pretend it is."
As she said this, Phoebe King glanced around and, upon finding Norman Sutton, noticed he was glaring at their direction with a hostile look.
Phoebe King chuckled, pointed her chin at Norman Sutton not far away, and said to Lance Quincy, "There, that’s the guy. You better give him a good lesson and make him furious."
Hazel Yates saw Lance Quincy coming over, left Samuel Sutton, and walked toward them. Audrey Sutton looked around and asked her in confusion, "Why hasn’t Lana arrived yet?"
Hazel Yates replied with a smile, "I just called her. She said she’s stuck in traffic but will be here soon."
Lance Quincy greeted politely, "Hello, Auntie."
Hazel Yates smiled, thoroughly content, genuinely beginning to look at this young man like he was Lana Holloway’s potential partner, becoming more satisfied the longer she observed him.
This group sat together chatting, while the men pushing baby strollers formed a "dad group," clustering together, possibly discussing parenting tips.
Faye Xavier and Luc were like bricks that the "dads" shifted wherever needed.
Summer couldn’t sit still and be as well-behaved as Anna in the stroller.
She soon got impatient and fussed to be held.
Surprisingly, Faye Xavier liked kids and picked Summer up from the stroller, genuinely exclaiming to Morgan Quinn beside her, "She’s so adorable! I’ve realized that even though I don’t plan to marry yet, I do want kids now."
Morgan Quinn’s mouth twitched, "Oh, come on, kids are noisy as heck! Look at my brother, constantly hassled by that little bundle! When my sister-in-law just gave birth, she called me to help with the baby. The crying every night gave me such a headache, and would you believe the dark circles from back then haven’t even fully faded!"
Yet there was Arthur Sutton nearby, feeding his daughter milk formula with skillful tenderness and indulgence, not showing any sign of being perturbed.
Arthur Sutton was busy managing the family’s outing plans, queuing at the ticket machine to secure tickets for the whole family.
After verifying a stack of tickets quickly, finding there were too many people, he had to hand out the tickets one by one to each person and confirm there were no omissions.
Halfway through distributing, he suddenly glimpsed a familiar figure and immediately focused, seeing Janelle Tollman leading two kids towards the ticket entrance, then lining up at the back.
Arthur Sutton suddenly forgot about the tickets in his hand, immediately heading towards them, but before he took two steps, Wayne Archer, with his tickets, arrived beside them...
Arthur Sutton’s steps halted abruptly, a rare expression of disdain crossing his face.
If it weren’t for Wayne Archer getting in the way, would his mother have to pester him to marry all the time?
His wife and children were right before him, yet he couldn’t approach them with an appropriate identity, all because of this man!
Once the tickets were handed out, Lana Holloway arrived shortly after. Seeing everyone there, they queued to enter the park in order.
The crowd felt like they were on a guided tour, and once inside, everyone went their separate ways.
Evan Sutton saw this and took the opportunity to message Hannah Sue, asking where she was.
Hannah Sue replied immediately, "I’m at the carousel."
Evan Sutton checked the park map and realized there were two entrances to the amusement park, and Hannah Sue clearly entered from the other one since the carousel was quite far from him.
Catching sight of a park tram nearby, Evan Sutton took it to find Hannah Sue.
A few minutes later, when Evan Sutton spotted the carousel inside the park and got off, he noticed it seemed to be the kids’ section, surrounded mostly by children, with obvious children’s facilities around.
Therefore, among the crowd of little kids on the carousel, Hannah Sue’s "conspicuous" figure was quickly found.
She didn’t seem embarrassed at all, and when the carousel turned so she saw Evan Sutton, she cheerfully waved at him.
Evan Sutton stood expressionless on the side, waiting for the carousel to make a few turns and stop before Hannah Sue quickly hopped off and ran over, "You were really quick. I thought you’d just try to fool me."
Evan Sutton: "So you made all this fuss just to ride that?"
Following Evan Sutton’s disdainful gaze, Hannah Sue looked at the carousel she just rode, chuckled, and explained, "I was just killing time while waiting for you, and besides, I found this place doesn’t have much fun stuff, mostly things I played with as a kid."
Evan Sutton said grumpily, "Look at how old the kids around you are." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Hannah Sue blinked, glanced around, finally noticing the issue, and a hint of embarrassment showed on her face.
Evan Sutton looked at her obviously made-up face and merely commented, "The adult section is over there."
Hannah Sue looked at Evan Sutton, whispering her complaint, "The adult section... that term sounds so... suggestive."
Evan Sutton rolled his eyes at her, then lightly teased, "I forgot you’re not of age yet. Just play around here then."
Unexpectedly, Hannah Sue took it seriously and dragged him to queue for the forest train, playfully calling it "retrieving childhood memories."
Thankfully, parents accompany their kids on the train, so they didn’t seem out of place in the line.
Since it was around New Year, the queue was pretty long, but every train took many people, so their turn came fairly quickly.
In front of Evan Sutton’s group stood what looked like a family of four.
Listening to the little boy complain, "We always ride this, it’s so boring."
The mother gently stroked the little boy’s head, softly saying, "Your sister likes it, so we accompany her."
The little girl was cradled in a man’s arm, holding a drink. She took a sip, released the straw, and sweetly said, "Uncle Archer, this is so yummy."
Hannah Sue leaned back, whispering into Evan Sutton’s ear, "They don’t seem to be a family. Is that kid’s dad being cheated on? Otherwise, why would anyone let another man take his wife and kids out to play?"
Evan Sutton glared at her, "Mind your own business."
