Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 77: Bitch Wilson
Audrey Sutton listened and grew increasingly uneasy, finally saying, "Speaking of which, we walked really deep into the woods just now to find General, and there was a small creek in between. I really don’t know how he got in there."
Hearing this, Crystal Wilson’s smile froze, and she picked up the cup nearby, bowing her head to bite the straw.
One of the male authors said, "Actually, it’s my fault for not watching him closely. At the time, Crystal asked me to play cards, and seeing General playing alone on the grass, I went over."
Another female editor casually mentioned, "I remember when I was fishing by the lake with my husband around two o’clock, I saw Crystal holding General’s leash, heading towards the small slope over there."
Crystal hesitated and quickly explained, "I just took General for a walk over there, and it wasn’t long before we came back. You can ask Clay, we played cards together later."
Clay nodded and said, "But at that time, Crystal told us she was going to the bathroom and let Ronnie play a couple of rounds for her."
Crystal said, "Yes, I went to the bathroom first, then felt my neck was uncomfortable from sitting too long, so I took General for a walk."
Audrey Sutton laughed and said, "Don’t be nervous, Crystal, I don’t blame you. Maybe General was just playful, chasing butterflies or rabbits into the forest."
Crystal quickly nodded in agreement, saying, "Yes, there are lots of butterflies around that slope."
Audrey Sutton was almost certain in her heart that General’s disappearance was related to Crystal Wilson.
She remembered when Crystal and they were playing cards, Audrey went to ask about General’s whereabouts, and she didn’t mention she had been in contact with General.
If someone hadn’t seen it, Crystal probably wouldn’t have admitted to any of this.
After dinner, Audrey Sutton went to the bathroom in the RV to take a shower, and when she came out, she saw Shane Warner had just come back from running with General.
She admired his self-discipline, exercising every day.
Audrey Sutton was the type to get excited for a few minutes after getting a gym membership and then say no more.
Just as she was about to walk towards Shane Warner, she noticed Crystal Wilson approaching him.
Crystal was tall, estimating about one hundred and seventy centimeters, slim with long legs.
Right now, she was wearing a sports vest and tight yoga pants, and from her abdomen muscles you could tell she should be a sporty girl.
Though Audrey didn’t like her, she couldn’t deny she envied Crystal Wilson’s figure.
From afar, she watched Crystal look up and say something to Shane Warner.
Audrey didn’t rush to move closer, instead slowing her steps to observe from a distance.
She wanted to see what tricks this Bitch Wilson could play.
"Woof woof—"
When Crystal crouched down next to General, he barked at her twice, then watched as her hand reached out, directly moving behind Shane Warner.
Golden retrievers are generally gentle, and Audrey thought General was a big softie, usually not barking at people, let alone being so hostile towards humans.
She remembered when she first tried to pet him, he sniffed her hand instead of shying away like this.
Seeing General dodge her, Crystal stood up awkwardly and said to Shane, "Is the dog afraid of strangers? Dickie at our home does the same thing, hides from unfamiliar people."
Originally, she wanted to use the commonality of owning pets to find a shared topic with Shane, but Shane said, "He’s not afraid of strangers; he’s just scared of people or things that pose a threat to him. Miss Wilson, did you scold him sometime?"
"How... how could I?" Crystal laughed dryly, "General is so cute; who would scold him? Maybe the scent of my perfume is unfamiliar to him."
Shane laughed lightly and said, "Could be, dogs’ noses are much more sensitive than people’s; if even I find it hard to get used to, he definitely does too."
Crystal’s smile froze, quickly changing the topic, "Do you also exercise, Third Young Master? Why not go for a morning run tomorrow together?"
Shane didn’t respond but instead waved towards Audrey Sutton standing far away watching the scene.
Audrey was startled for a moment, wondering if he had already noticed her.
As she walked closer, Shane smiled and said to Crystal, "I don’t mind, but you’ll have to ask my wife if she’s okay with it."
Crystal looked at Audrey and said with a smile, "It’s just a run; it’s no big deal, right? Audrey, you’re not that petty."
Aware of what they were discussing, Audrey replied nonchalantly, "Sure, let’s go together. I haven’t run in ages, so tomorrow morning I’ll call Crystal, okay?"
Crystal didn’t expect Audrey would join too. Her smile slightly stiffened for a second before nodding, "Alright, I usually wake up by six."
Audrey subtly hinted, "As long as it’s not three or four in the morning."
She then took Shane’s arm and said, "Honey, you’d better shower quickly. They’re playing cards now, or you’ll have to queue later."
After watching Audrey and Shane walk away, two girls hurried over to Crystal, looking disdainfully at Audrey’s back, "Third Young Master must be fooled by her innocent-looking face."
"Hmph, I think they’re just putting on a show for everyone. Our Crystal is pretty and has a great figure; Third Young Master will surely cheat. At that time, even if for interests’ sake he doesn’t divorce that Audrey, she’ll just be a neglected, resentful wife."
Listening to this, Crystal pictured these scenes and couldn’t help but curl her lips into a smile.
How many men can resist temptation? Perhaps when their wife is around, they might restrain a bit; if Audrey hadn’t shown up just now, who knows in whose tent Third Young Master might spend the night.
Crystal was very confident, swinging her slender waist and returning to her tent.
Having heard Shane was going to take a shower, she quickly brought her clothes for changing, heading to the RV to orchestrate an encounter.
The women’s and men’s bathrooms were in separate RVs, but the RVs were parked next to each other.
Crystal stood at the vehicle’s door for a short while until she saw Shane approaching.
This time, he was alone.
Crystal immediately greeted him, "Third Young Master, want to play cards together later?"
Shane glanced sideways at her and answered indifferently, "No, I need to tutor my wife in her homework."
"Oh right, Audrey is just in her sophomore year."
Shane didn’t continue the conversation and went on without pausing, heading towards the RV.
Crystal followed, asking, "By the way, Third Young Master, you seem to know a lot about fitness. Take a look at my abs, one side is fainter than the other. Any tips on fixing that? Can you show me a couple of exercises?"
As she spoke, Crystal moved in front of Shane, blocking his path, pointing at her abdomen, trying to get him to look.
