Chapter 59: Chapter 58: Mei Mei – Contact That Monster? I Need More Money!
Jujutsu Headquarters – The Aftermath Meeting
The tension in the conference room was thick.
Gojo Satoru, sitting with his legs propped up on the table, suddenly clapped his hands together.
"Alright, alright. I've got it! Let's just throw Kinji Hakari in the ring. If we get him to use Domain Expansion, he can tank damage infinitely like a human punching bag!"
An unnamed sorcerer sighed.

"You're such an asshole, Gojo."
The voice of an elder cleared the room.
"Enough."
Zen'in Naobito's sharp gaze landed on them.
"I was referring to another candidate."
A beat of silence.
Everyone immediately understood who he was talking about.
Fushiguro Megumi.
The first-year student who had yet to officially enroll at Jujutsu High.
"Some of you may not know this," Naobito continued, "but that boy carries the Zen'in Clan's blood. More importantly, he has inherited our family's most powerful technique—"
His voice grew heavy with authority.
"—Ten Shadows Technique."
The room went silent.
Despite being public knowledge among high-level sorcerers, this reminder carried weight.
"The reason this technique is the strongest in Zen'in history," Naobito continued, "is because of the Ten Shadows' ultimate trump card—"
"Mahoraga."
BOOM.
The moment the name dropped, Gakuganji Yoshinobu stood up in shock.
"Mahoraga?!"
Gojo, who had been casually twirling his sunglasses, finally perked up with a smirk.
"Oooh~? So we're bringing up that guy now?"
Nanami Kento and Atsuya Kusakabe exchanged glances.
"Who the hell is Mahoraga?" Nanami finally asked.
Naobito folded his arms.
"Mahoraga is the most powerful Shikigami within the Ten Shadows Technique. A force of pure destruction—one that no previous user has ever been able to tame."
"To put it simply," he added grimly, "Mahoraga possesses the ability to adapt to anything—including space-warping techniques."
The weight of his words sank into everyone's minds.
"Wait, wait, wait," An unnamed sorcerer waved his hand. "Are you saying we're betting on Fushiguro to control something that every past user has failed to tame?"
"That is correct," Naobito said coldly.
"Bullshit."
Gojo's voice cut through the room.
His Six Eyes locked onto Naobito.
"Fushiguro is my student. He's already getting stronger under my guidance. If he stays at Jujutsu High, he'll surpass any half-assed 'training' your Zen'in clan could offer."
The room felt like it had dropped a few degrees.
Naobito's eyes narrowed.
"Are you telling me you'll take responsibility for his growth?"
"Tch. You don't get it," Gojo stretched, yawning dramatically.
"I'm saying he's already mine. So drop the subject."
For a brief moment—Zen'in Naobito and Gojo Satoru stared each other down.
It was a clash of generations.
But before the tension could snap, Gakuganji slammed the table.
"This is not just about Fushiguro!"
His voice boomed, snapping everyone's attention back.
"That boy isn't the issue. The real problem is the man currently aligned with Suguru Geto!"
"Do you intend to just stand back and watch humanity end?!"
Gojo grinned.
"End of humanity? Oh, come on. You guys still don't get it, huh?"
He leaned forward, pointing at Gakuganji.
"I already said it. If that guy was actually serious, we'd all be dead."
The room fell silent.
Even Mei Mei, who had been quietly leaning against the wall, finally uncrossed her arms.
"That's true," she admitted.
"He was just toying with us."
Atsuya Kusakabe nodded.
"And according to him, he was only there because he took a job from Geto."
Gojo's interest piqued.
"Hoh? So, what was the payment?"
"A Special Grade Cursed Spirit," Kusakabe answered.
The entire room stiffened.
"...A curse?"
The idea of wanting a cursed spirit—something that sorcerers were trained to eliminate—was completely unnatural.
"So that means..." Mei Mei's sharp mind put the pieces together instantly.
"He might be able to absorb them."
Gojo snapped his fingers.
"Exactly! No wonder I thought Geto wasn't using as many curse spirits as I expected. He probably gave away a bunch to that guy!"
The implications rippled through the room.
"If that's true," Yaga muttered, "then that would explain his abnormal strength at such a young age."
"More importantly," Ieiri Shoko tapped her cigarette, "if he keeps accepting Geto's jobs, we'll keep running into him as an enemy."
"Tch. The higher-ups will try to deal with this soon," Gojo rolled his eyes. "And we all know how that'll go."
"Actually," Mei Mei spoke up, "there is one way to solve this without a full confrontation."
"Oh?" Gojo grinned.
"We contact him directly."
The room immediately went silent.
Then—
Everyone looked away.
Like students avoiding eye contact when the teacher asked for a volunteer.
"...Well, I'm obviously out," Gojo said, stretching.
Masamichi Yaga sighed heavily.
"Someone needs to make contact with him."
Atsuya Kusakabe suddenly perked up.
"Oh, right! I almost forgot—he actually mentioned wanting to have tea with Mei Mei."
Mei Mei's brows twitched.
She turned her head slowly toward Kusakabe.
"...Excuse me?"
"Yep," Kusakabe nodded innocently. "He said, 'If I ever get the chance, I'd love to have tea with Mei Mei.'"
Mei Mei stared.
Then, with perfect composure, she stood up.
"Absolutely not."
"Mei Mei," Yaga's voice grew stern, "you're the best choice."
"No."
She crossed her arms.
"That guy is even more of a monster than Gojo. You think I'm volunteering for free?"
She smirked, eyes gleaming.
"If you want me to contact him..."
"Then you'd better pay me more."
