Multiversal Wanderer: Starting in Naruto-Chapter 82: Blood Pool Dance
Chapter 82 - 82: Blood Pool Dance
"Is this the bar?" Coulson asked, eyeing the neon-lit building ahead.
"Yes, this is the one," Liam replied, his head slightly bowed. "They tend to gather here. Today is their designated bathing festival, so a lot of vampires should show up."
They stood in front of the infamous Columbin Bar, a popular spot in the area. Its reputation wasn't built just on its luxurious decor, but on the abundance of attractive men and women inside—a magnet for young partygoers.
"Alright," Chisato said calmly, "just stay in the car."
"What if he runs?" Coulson asked with concern. "I'm not exactly confident about relying on handcuffs with someone like him."
"You're right," Chisato replied, glancing at Liam. "If he really wanted to, he could probably break his own arms and slip out of the cuffs. Vampires have a much higher pain tolerance than normal humans."
"So... what now?" Coulson asked.
"Look into my eyes," Chisato said, stepping forward.
Liam, already plotting an escape in his mind, was abruptly pulled from his thoughts by the command. He looked into Chisato scarlet eyes.
"Wha—"
Before he could finish his sentence, his body went limp and he collapsed into unconsciousness.
Chisato expression remained neutral. "Mental resistance is no different from a regular human. So the transformation focuses purely on physical enhancements. Interesting."
"You hypnotized him?" Coulson asked, astonished. He couldn't ignore Chisato glowing red eyes. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
"They're called the Sharingan," Chisato explained. "It's a bloodline trait of the Uchiha clan. Power that rivals—sometimes surpasses—that of gods."
The red hue in her eyes was both eerie and mesmerizing—bloody and ominous, yet beautiful like glowing amber.
Coulson nodded slowly, choosing not to press further. "He won't wake up, right?"
"Not without me," she replied. "He'll be out for at least three days."
"Then let's get to the bar."
---
As they approached the entrance, the bartender gave them trouble—especially because Coulson was accompanied by a petite Asian girl who looked underage. He was about to turn them away, but Chisato's Sharingan activated.
In seconds, the bartender collapsed.
"You can hypnotize people just by making eye contact?" Coulson asked, stunned, after watching her easily incapacitate several people.
"It's complicated," Chisato replied. "Let's focus on the mission."
Inside, the bar didn't look much different from any other—loud music, flashing lights, and bodies dancing wildly under neon strobes. The dance floor was packed with men and women, swaying to the beat, lost in the haze of drink and desire.
A host took the stage. "Now, for the final part of tonight's performance... get ready for the Blood Pool Dance!"
At his words, crimson liquid suddenly sprayed from fire-sensor nozzles in the ceiling. The rich, sticky substance drenched the dancers below, and as the blood hit their skin, their human masks vanished. Beautiful smiles twisted into savage snarls, revealing long, gleaming fangs.
The music cut out. Screams and gasps filled the air.
Chisato and Coulson had dodged the spray, remaining dry and conspicuously clean—instantly marking them as outsiders.
"Well, well," a voice echoed through the now-silent room. "Looks like we've got two little mice crashing the party. I can smell the human on them. What are you waiting for?!"
"Run!" Coulson grabbed Chisato arm, but she didn't budge.
"Coulson," she said, unmoving, "get behind me. Don't interfere."
He hesitated but obeyed. Her tone, cold and commanding, was nothing like her appearance.
The vampires, ears sharp as ever, had heard her clearly.
"My, my... such bravery," one taunted. "Why not join us? The blood clan can grant you immortality. As for your friend... well, we'll let him live. Maybe."
"Immortality?" Chisato scoffed. "You look more like sewer rats than immortals."
Her eyes narrowed with disdain. "You cower from sunlight and hide in shadows. The proud Uchiha bloodline would never mix with bottom-feeders like you."
The vampire's grin twisted into a snarl. "You've got guts, girl. Too bad you won't live to regret it!"
He lunged.
Chisato didn't flinch. Her hand moved in a flash, and a shuriken sliced through the air—burying itself in the vampire's skull. His headless body hit the ground with a sickening thud.
The room fell deathly silent.
"You bitch!" another vampire snarled.
Five more leapt at her.
In a blur, five more shurikens flew, each one exploding mid-air on impact. The bodies fell before they even hit the ground.
Coulson stood frozen behind her, stunned. Those shurikens... they hit like sniper rounds...
"Don't hold back," Chisato said coldly. "If they die, it just means they were weak."
The remaining vampires shed their arrogance. Guns were drawn, and in a heartbeat, the room was lit by muzzle flashes.
"Earth Style – Earth Flow Wall!" Chisato formed hand seals, and a thick wall of stone erupted from the ground, shielding them from the onslaught.
Coulson gaped. "A dirt wall?! You... summoned that?!"
He watched her closely—hand signs, murmured words, and a calm face that showed no fear.
Then, her hands shifted again.
"Fire Style – Dragon Fire Technique!"
------------------
"Fire Style – Dragon Fire Technique!"
A straight line of flames spewed from Uchiha Chisato mouth. The Dragon Fire Technique always had this characteristic, but its power could be greatly amplified with precise chakra control and an abundance of chakra. Chisato possessed both. So even though she didn't use her full strength, the technique was enough to engulf the entire bar in flames, instantly covering the vampires inside.
A deafening explosion followed, mixed with screams and wails. The doors and windows of the bar were blown open. If not for the protective Earth Flow Wall behind her, Coulson would've been flung away by the blast. Because it all happened indoors, the fire's explosive force became even more devastating in the confined space. Thankfully, Chisato held back—if she hadn't, the entire building might have gone up in smoke.
Some vampires in the back rows were lucky enough to avoid being incinerated immediately, but the flames licking at their bodies had them howling in agony. Say what you will about them—they were vampires, after all. Their vitality far exceeded that of ordinary humans. Even now, they were still struggling. There was still hope... for a few of them.
"Water Style – Wave Rider!"
Uchiha Chisato didn't use any large-scale water jutsu—Wave Rider wasn't offensive. It was designed to create a water environment and allow swift movement across it. She had clearly learned it from Su Xiuyu, who specialized in such techniques. Senju Tobirama had also mastered it in his time.
A surge of clean water burst out, dousing the lingering flames. Those few vampires still burning were finally spared further torment, though barely. But now, the bar had suffered both a fiery explosion and a sudden flood. No modern structure could withstand that kind of abuse. It collapsed entirely.
Coulson, however, was safe. Chisato had reinforced his position with an Earth Flow Wall, forming a makeshift bunker. He was soaked, but unharmed—aside from swallowing a few unfortunate mouthfuls of water.
He sat there, dumbfounded. Without Uchiha Chisato intervention, he would've been captured or worse. But now he had even more questions than answers.
"Ms. Chisato... is this—what you just did—is it some kind of bloodline ability of the Uchiha Clan? Something inherited? Like... breathing fire and water?"
Chisato raised an eyebrow. "Oh no. This is ninjutsu. Anyone trained can learn it. We Uchiha are just particularly good at it."
"Ninjutsu?" Coulson repeated, confused.
"Yes. Haven't you heard? We're a ninja clan."
"Like those ninja legends from the Eastern island nations? But that's all myth, right? The ones I've read about can't actually breathe fire..."
"You're mistaken," Chisato said flatly. "We may use the term 'ninja,' but we are nothing like those Japanese entertainers in costumes. And for the record, Brother Xiuyu doesn't like being associated with those kinds of ninjas. I'd advise you not to compare us again."
Coulson's eyes widened slightly, mentally taking notes. So, Su Xiuyu and his group were true ninjas—though clearly a very different kind. He also picked up on the subtle distaste toward the Oriental Japan. That was important intel.
The implication was clear: maintain a good relationship with Xiuyu and his people. Even Director Nick Fury had acknowledged Su Xiuyu's special status.
"Your abilities," Coulson said, still wrapping his head around it all, "they're... unbelievable. It's like something out of a fantasy novel. Like wizards or something."
Chisato expression grew serious. That word—wizard—had touched a nerve. She had studied in Kamar-Taj before, so hearing it immediately brought that place to mind.
The fact that even S.H.I.E.L.D. was unaware of Kamar-Taj only confirmed what Xiuyu had told her: for all its size and influence, S.H.I.E.L.D. lacked depth. They didn't even know the basics about real magic. They were playing catch-up in a game they didn't even realize was being played.
Coulson, of course, had no way of knowing what was going on in her mind.
Outside, the bar was now a smoldering ruin. A few vampires, barely clinging to life, were crawling out of the rubble.
"Time to clean up," Chisato muttered. "Coulson, you handle the interrogation. Let me know if anything comes up." With that, she leapt onto the rooftop and vanished into the distance.
Coulson exhaled and quickly contacted S.H.I.E.L.D. backup. Agents arrived within minutes, helping to secure the survivors. Even with most of their skin charred and bodies mangled, Coulson didn't take any chances.
He remembered his failure against Liam. This time, he wouldn't underestimate anyone.
"There's a hypnotist in the car as well," he warned the team. "Use special alloy restraints. Don't treat them like regular criminals—they're not human."
Then he made his way back to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters and entered Nick Fury's office.
Fury barely looked up from his tablet. "Back already? I thought this mission was going to be tough."
"It was, sir," Coulson replied. "But we had help. The Uchiha Agency stepped in. We followed their lead and wrapped it up. The culprits were a group of vampires."
Fury finally looked up, expression unreadable. "Vampires? Come on, Coulson. Are we talking actual vampires? You know those only exist in movies, right?"
"I wish I were joking, Director," Coulson said with a tired smile. "But yes—fangs, blood-sucking, the whole package. They have a structured organization, and based on what I saw, they've been around a long time. Someone has gone to great lengths to erase all public records of them."
Fury leaned back, frowning.
"And they're not easy to kill," Coulson added. "Their regenerative ability is incredible. Regular bullets won't stop them unless you hit vital organs—and even then, it might not be enough. We'll need heavier firepower in the future. And they're faster and stronger than any human I've seen."
Fury folded his hands. "But the Uchiha made the difference."
Coulson nodded. "Absolutely. Without them, we wouldn't have made it out."
