Multiverse Dungeon Maker System-Chapter 53 – Hot Hot Hot!
Chapter 53 - 53 – Hot Hot Hot!
'It's so hot!'
Cain experienced this floor he created to make people uncomfortable directly and couldn't help but to complain. His plate armor was already heavy and stuffy. The hot atmosphere didn't help at all.
"Wow, it looks like hell." Azazel commented, impressed.
Coming from someone who might have seen real hell already, Cain felt a sense of pride in his heart.
Meanwhile, Asia shivered lightly. The hellish sight in front of her brought back the bad memories of the previous dungeon. But now, she tried to gather courage to press forward with Azazel and Cain.
"My role is a tank." Cain started introducing his build, "I specialize in defending myself using the shield and sword to fight monsters. While I cannot defeat them instantly, I can defend you."
"That's dependable." Azazel nodded, understanding his job perfectly.
The grigori's governor was someone who played a lot of games. He knew the term Tank, and how vital it was for survival, especially for someone like him who had no experience fighting with monsters.
Even if Cain was weak, the ability to shield someone else was important.
"My role is the attacker," Azazel said, unsheathing a weapon from his sleeves. "A spear of light."
An angelic spear that burned intensely with holy power, sharp as a razor, and long as Cain's height. Its golden color shimmered beautifully, radiating divine energy.
"...wow." Cain's mouth formed a small 'o'. "Can I touch it?"
"No."
"But it looks really beautiful." He complimented.
"Right? Everyone said it looked beautiful, but it's dangerous." Azazel proudly swung the spear a few times. "Anyway, do you use magic? Aren't you a vampire?"
Cain smiled wryly at that. To think he could deduce the truth just from seeing his features. He didn't plan on hiding anything, so it was fine, though.
"Well, I compensate for being unable to use magic by my immense defense. As for weakness against sunlight, I won't be able to go to the outside world freely, so there's that. But there is no sunlight here so I have no problem."
They talked as they advanced deeper into the fiery land of Elemental Tower. Cain told Azazel about the Dungeon Chat Room, who should've gained two more members since Itachi and Kisame had entered.
But when Cain checked earlier, it seemed like they hadn't registered themselves.
Having new members meant new activity in the chat room, so he half forced Azazel to open it.
"It's true. So I have to input my name here and I can join the chat room, huh?" He muttered, amazed by the floating window that he could call anytime, "It's like a game."
"Game?" Cain pretended to be oblivious.
He told the fallen angel that he came from a city where dungeons like this were common, a different world than theirs. Of course, Azazel was intrigued.
At that moment, a group of 3 fire goblins appeared from beyond the trees. Their red skin glistened from the fire and lava.
The source of this c𝐨ntent is freёnovelkiss.com.
"Goblins? Perfect!" Azazel laughed.
Before either of them could move, Azazel leapt into the air with surprising agility, disappearing in an instant before appearing again right above the heads of three unsuspecting goblins, his spear shining brightly as he thrust it through their skulls and out their mouths with blinding speed.
"Guahh!" The fire goblins roared in agony. Blood splattered across Azazel's clothes, staining them crimson red.
Without wasting any more time, he withdrew the spear with swift movement. As soon as he landed safely onto the ground, the creatures collapsed motionlessly beside him.
Both Cain and Asia stared blankly at what just unfolded within mere seconds. Asia was clearly frightened by Azazel's brutality. Not only was it brutal, it was also bloody. Yet she stayed strong, clenching her fist tightly.
"That was..."
Even Cain was taken aback by Azazel's strength. As expected from a powerful entity like a Cadre of fallen angel. He looked like a normal middle-aged man outside, but he was someone who had lived for hundreds of years and fought in the Great War.
Compared to Rias and the others...
'He's on another level. The anime did him dirty.' He thought.
The fire goblin wasn't weak. In fact, it should be stronger than a skeleton.
"Azazel, you should try to save your stamina or magic. The first rule in the dungeon is not to go all out from the beginning. We don't know what will wait for us later."
Cain tried to keep the fallen angel in check. Having someone reckless might endanger them all.
And as a dungeon maker, he would be bored if all fights ended in such a fast manner. He wanted to witness his creation terrorizing his target.
Azazel smirked.
"That makes sense. I will leave the first move to you if we encounter the next monster then." He nodded.
With that said, they continued venturing further until they came across more goblins.
Cain moved to protect them when five goblins attacked simultaneously. He raised his shield to protect Asia behind him.
"Kyaa!" She screamed when an arrow bounced off from Cain's shield. Three of them used melee weapons while the other two shot arrows.
"Azazel! The archers!"
"On it!" He immediately leaped into the sky.
He was too fast for the archer to aim at, killing them with a single strike of his spear.
At the same time, Cain swung his sword at the nearby goblin. His Prototype Sword, enhanced with sharpness, cut the goblin easily. Unlike when he was against the skeleton, he only had to cut flesh to kill the goblins.
In a way, it was easier.
Meanwhile, two goblins approached him while swinging their crude clubs. Cain defended himself with the shield, easily deflecting the goblin's attack.
He smirked and pushed forward with his shield, toppling the goblin he pushed. Seeing that, the other one jumped backward to avoid being toppled, giving Cain a chance to strike the downed goblin with his sword.
"Gyaaa!!!" It shrieked.
Without wasting any more time, Cain kicked it far, straight at the last remaining goblin that evaded his attack previously.
Because of their similar height, it crashed onto the last remaining goblin.
"Damn, kicking it hurts me too..."
Recovering faster, Cain got up first. Using his shield to bash its head twice, he finished it with the sword. He smiled when it finally stopped moving.
"Not bad." Azazel applauded.
Asia exhaled a huge sigh of relief. Seeing the goblins dead on the ground, her tense muscles relaxed somewhat. She was glad to have these two guys protecting her. She felt safe knowing that they wouldn't harm her in any way possible.
"No loot, huh?" Cain muttered after checking the corpse, "This dungeon usually give drop, like Coin or something useful. Make sure to pick them up." He continued, giving Azazel information he needed.
Afterward, they continued further ahead, passing the burning forest. Inside, they were greeted by another adversary.
"No..."
A large pig-like humanoid monster, the Orc. They were bigger and stronger-looking compared to goblins. Two of them stood together menacingly.
These tuskers resembled wild boar except for their size. They sported tough leather hide colored dark brown with patches of orange fur scattered over its body.
"Tough enemies, I suppose?" Azazel said, eyeing those Orcs carefully. Then, he noticed Asia's trembling body. "Ah, I understand. They were the ones who killed you back then, right?"
Asia nodded weakly.
Azazel sighed and tapped her shoulder. "Well, I will protect you so you're safe."
"You need to kill them." Cain interrupted them, stepping up first.
