Chapter 76 - Crow VS Otherworlder "Aki"
I turned to Aki. Without hiding, I pulled out a red and green talisman and shoved them into my mouth, clenching my teeth on them, ready to activate the buffs.
Aki’s expression changed.
"Talismans?"
"..."
I got into a combat stance and walked to the center of the training field. However, Aki kept looking back and forth between Sylveria and me.
"Wait, wait, wait. How did you get the talismans?!"
Sylveria frowned. "Aki. Get to your position."
"But master! Something is not right. Talismans automatically disappear after spawning if they are not used within a minute! He shouldn’t have had that!"
Whatever she was yapping about, I didn’t care. Blood gushed into my eyes.

Aki’s eyes widened. She leaned backward. The tip of my sword grazed her neck, leaving behind a centimeter-deep cut.

Aki’s eyes shifted and turned blue. Water manifested around her and extinguished the flame on her neck. She took three steps back while her hand phased through an invisible wall or dimension. She pulled out a longsword.

Yet, it didn’t bounce. The attack buff and the attack reduction debuff canceled each other.

Aki received the impact and faltered. Her stance broke.

My mist sword and my body ignited as I plunged it into her stomach. My blade pierced through her leather armor, her flesh, and her innards. The tip of my blade hit the hard soil of the field after cutting through her spinal cord.
Flame erupted from the inside and gushed out from her orifices.
My aura erupted, causing a flame shockwave. A five-meter-wide dome expanded and vanished.
Under me, Aki’s charred body remained.
I pulled out my sword. The water engulfing my head fell to the ground and dissipated into smoke.
Done. Stay dead, bitch.
First PvP Event:
Crow 1 – 0 Sylveria.
I turned to Sylveria and exhaled deeply. Was she satisfied? Her expression turned dark. Her cunning smile was gone. That was the face I liked.
"I haven’t given the signal yet," Sylveria complained.
"But you didn’t stop the match," I argued.

"As a reminder, the challenged reserves the right to decide when the duel starts."

Sylveria scoffed and turned to the female knights, who held the deed and the scroll with their fingerprints. Clicking her tongue, she exited the training field.
I turned my attention to Aki’s followers. They knelt and raised the deed and the scroll to me.
"From now on, our lives are yours."
Five hundred common soldiers, three knights, a thousand slaves, and land, right? Not bad for a starter, but lands could be robbed easily. Commoners and slaves were basically cannon fodder. Three knights? Level 4? They were bedwarmers at best. I couldn’t count on them in an actual battlefield.
But if I took it that way, Lia and Lenitia were useless too.
In short, the loot was worthless. Sylveria would have expected it since she only knew how to exploit people for her father.
I stopped the train of thoughts and faced the spectators. This was my most vulnerable time.

I was glad the seniors were friendly. I chatted with them while we waited for Solus.
However, the crown prince and his followers arrived first.
