My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively-Chapter 115: Did I Still Hurt Her?
He was lowering his head, pressing on her ankle with a serious expression. His actions weren’t skillful; the slender fingers grasping her ankle were full of awkwardness and unnaturalness.
On that cold and stern face, there was now an uncommon softness, especially under the warm lighting in the room, making the man in front of her exude a strange warmth all over.
Summer Shawcross blinked, almost thinking she had seen wrong.
For a moment, she even had the urge to throw herself into his arms.
For some reason, her nose suddenly felt a bit sour.
In over twenty years, the only people who treated her like this, besides her father and brother, was Noah Drexler.
In her past life, she was too selfish and willful; she never gave him a decent look, nor did she ever seriously feel the heart of this man.
She never realized that this man she once thought to be cold-blooded and twisted could also be so gentle and warm.
Noticing the oddity in her expression, Noah Drexler paused his movements, frowning slightly.
"Does it hurt?" His expression turned a bit unpleasant, and a hint of regret appeared on his face.
He had already tried to ease his actions, yet he still caused her pain?
It seemed he was too used to interacting with a group of men daily, making it hard for him to gauge his strength at times.
"No..." Summer shook her head lightly, coming back to her senses.
When she finished speaking, Noah didn’t say anything, just lowered his eyes to look at her reddened eyes for a moment.
If he hadn’t hurt her, then why were her eyes red?
"Did Sean Morgan bully you?" The next second, his expression turned serious, and he asked her in a deep voice.
That idiot Sean Morgan, treating her like a secretary?
"No...he wouldn’t dare bully me. It’s more like I bully him." Summer quickly denied it.
Dealing with someone as single-minded as Sean Morgan, she had her ways; he definitely wouldn’t dare to bully her. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
But even after her words, Noah still frowned, keeping his gaze on her eyes.
Feeling a bit guilty under his gaze, she found an excuse, although she was genuinely tired.
"I’m just a bit tired, want to take a nap."
Upon hearing this, Noah’s expression slightly softened.
"If you’re tired, go to sleep." He commanded curtly.
"Okay." Summer responded obediently, directly crawling into his arms, placing her head on his chest.
She didn’t know why, but she always felt that the aura from him, especially when in his arms, could make her feel at ease and safe.
The man’s body stiffened for a moment, and a look of surprise flashed across his handsome face.
"It’s a bit cold today, and you’re warm," fearing he might dislike her behavior, Summer muttered softly, giving herself a legitimate reason for her actions.
Watching her nestle into his arms like a little cat, Noah’s expression paused for a moment before his brows revealed a pampering look.
"Okay." He pursed his lips, agreeing.
The next second, he directly lifted her from the sofa.
Summer was startled, about to raise her head to see what was happening when the man had already bent over, placing her on the large bed.
Soon after, he removed his suit and climbed onto the bed, allowing her to rest well against him, then pulled the covers to enclose both of them together.
"Your injury..." Summer’s heart became anxious, looking at him with concern.
