My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively-Chapter 197: Are You Trying to Lock Me Up?
Summer Shawcross was afraid that the butler still didn’t trust her, so she hurried to explain.
"Butler, I really want to help him, to be with him. I swear I won’t hurt him again like before."
As she spoke, her eyes turned red, and her voice choked up.
At this moment... She really, really wanted to see Noah Drexler!
Hearing what Summer said, the butler’s expression wavered a little. After a moment, he turned his head, avoiding looking at Summer, and instead looked at the photo under the osmanthus tree.
"Madam, you should rest well here. I believe Madame will bless Mister’s safety."
"If you won’t tell me where he is, I’ll find him myself!" Seeing that the servant wouldn’t speak, Summer bit her lip and said.
Upon hearing this, the butler’s expression changed, and just as he was about to say something, several servants arrived in the garden.
"Help Madam back to rest," the butler quickly instructed the servants.
The servants nodded, walked over, and were about to help Summer up from the ground.
"Madam, it’s chilly outside, let’s take you back to your room."
Summer was startled and instinctively wanted to shake off the servant’s hand, but she found that they held onto her arm tightly, showing no intention of letting go.
Her face turned pale, and she spoke with some dissatisfaction.
"Are you trying to lock me up?"
"Madam, there’s nothing we can do. If anything happens to you, we can’t explain to Mister when he returns." The butler sighed, saying that Mr. Mo mentioned that the incident in Arisdale, where someone suddenly appeared with a knife trying to harm Madam, was not the work of some anti-celebrity organization as the news claimed, but someone was plotting behind the scenes. Therefore, security at the villa was enhanced to ensure she was well protected at The Hillside Villa until Mister returned.
"So, you should take me to his side. I believe there’s no safer place than being by his side!" Summer quickly explained.
After she finished speaking, the butler looked helpless, so he had to comfort her softly.
"Madam, please be at ease, I assure you Mister will be fine."
"If you could assure me, you wouldn’t be here tonight," Summer said, not believing him at all, glancing at the candles and offerings under the osmanthus tree.
If she were really sure Noah Drexler would be fine, she wouldn’t have come here in the middle of the night to burn paper money and light candles.
The butler felt helpless, so he gestured to the servants, indicating them to take Summer back to rest.
Seeing this, Summer was shocked, wanting to struggle but not expecting the servants to be quite strong, holding her firmly in control.
Dragged by the servants as she walked back, Summer angrily looked at the butler.
"Fine, if you won’t take me to see him, I’ll die right here! When Noah Drexler comes back and sees no one alive, he’ll hold you accountable!" she gritted her teeth and shouted.
She wouldn’t have resorted to such threats if she hadn’t been driven to desperation.
The butler’s face turned pale. Even though the once annoying Madam had become likable, her habit of throwing tantrums and threatening to hang herself hadn’t changed in the slightest!
...
In the early morning hours.
In a quiet villa at the foot of the mountain in an uninhabited suburb.
Outside the tightly closed door, two bodyguards stood upright, their expressions tense.
