"Noah Drexler, what did he just say to you?"
Summer Shawcross looked at Noah Drexler with confusion.
She hadn’t really understood the conversation between Yancy Shaw and Noah Drexler earlier; she only knew Yancy whispered something to Noah, and then Noah’s expression changed.
Upon hearing Summer’s voice, Noah’s eyes shifted, casting aside his cold expression.
"Just business matters," he murmured, his lips barely moving.
Hearing this, Summer felt no suspicion. Both he and Yancy were people who had been in business for years, seldom having personal interactions; besides business, they didn’t have much else to discuss, did they?
Thinking about it, Summer glanced toward the door and couldn’t help but complain.
"But, Yancy is really strange. Since he’s here, why make such a young child worry and be afraid?"
Why not just bring Nathaniel Shaw over to apologize at the start, instead of complicating things?
"He’s afraid I’d delve deeper, so he set this up," Noah explained patiently to Summer.
Yancy is clearly doing this on purpose; knowing Noah is hard to deal with, he first sent his kid to suffer, then personally came to apologize and willingly accept punishment.
That way, even if Noah is callous, he wouldn’t pursue matters with a five-year-old child.
After Noah’s explanation, Summer finally understood the reasoning behind it all.
Then Noah suddenly raised his wrist, glanced at his watch, turned to Summer, and whispered.
"Stay at the hotel tonight and don’t run around. I’ll arrange a plane to send you back to Narsus tomorrow."
His words made Summer pause; ever since accompanying him back from recuperation at the forest villa, he seemed to have become much more cautious...
She thought, he must be more vigilant now due to the last plaza incident.
"Alright, and you... you’re going back tonight?" Summer nodded and then asked confusedly.
He instructed her to stay at the hotel, so does that mean he will return?
"Yes," Noah replied, glancing again at his watch.
"Leaving in ten minutes." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Her scream unnerved him, and he dropped everything to rush there as quickly as possible.
Now that it’s confirmed there’s no danger here, he should go back to handle some tasks.
Besides... now there’s another matter he needs to deal with swiftly.
Thinking about the name Yancy mentioned earlier, Noah’s eyes turned colder! He must quickly confirm if the information Yancy provided is true.
"So quickly?" Summer said surprised.
It’s so late already, and he’s flying back to work?
Listening to her surprised voice, he frowned slightly but couldn’t help asking.
"What, can’t bear to see me leave?"
Noah’s eyes sparkled, a hint of anticipation on his handsome face as he gazed at her.
Suddenly, being stared at so seriously, Summer subconsciously felt a bit unnatural.
"Then... let me, let me see you off..." she lowered her head and said softly.
