Chapter 289: Chapter 289: No Causing Trouble While I’m Gone

Upon closer inspection, she realized that this shirt was the very one she had bought at the men’s clothing store in front of the cinema last time, and she had teased Noah Drexler a bit for it back then...

Thinking of this, she couldn’t help but feel a wave of delight in her heart.

She had originally thought he wouldn’t pay attention to such a not-so-expensive piece of clothing, but unexpectedly, he had kept it hanging here all along.

...

In no time, downstairs.

The servant carried Summer Shawcross’s packed suitcase downstairs and placed it in the car’s trunk.

At the doorway, Summer looked at the vehicle parked outside and couldn’t help but ask.

"Leaving in such a hurry?"

Wasn’t he supposed to leave in the evening? Why depart so early?

"I still need to return to the company once; there are some matters to handle." Noah Drexler replied. As he spoke, he raised his hand, glanced at the time on his watch, and then lowered his eyes, fixing a serious gaze on her.

Summer was taken aback by his sharp gaze. As she shifted awkwardly, Noah’s deep voice issued an order.

"While I’m not in Narsus these few days, stay home obediently and don’t get into trouble."

He looked down at her, his handsome face full of concern for her.

If it weren’t for the fact that this business trip was to a somewhat unsafe country, he would have wanted to take her along!

Caught off guard by his sudden command, Summer gave him a speechless glance and then replied with a hint of discontent.

"Don’t worry, I’m not a child."

She’s not a little kid; there’s no need for such instructions.

But after she spoke, the man’s face was still full of doubt towards her.

"Summer Shawcross, is there anywhere you can make me feel at ease?"

As his words fell, Summer bit her lip in anger, but recalling what had happened a few days ago, she found herself unable to refute him.

"Boss, we should get going." At this moment, Sean Morgan approached, quietly reminding Noah Drexler.

Noah nodded, glanced at Summer, then turned around and got into the car with large strides.

The car drove away from the villa, and soon, it disappeared from sight.

Summer stood at the doorway, watching his departing figure, her heart suddenly skipped a beat for some reason...

Seeing Summer’s despondent look, the butler couldn’t help but cover her mouth and laugh, then teased.

"Ma’am, don’t be too wistful; he’ll be back in a few days."

Stirred by the butler’s words, Summer snapped out of it, her expression turning a bit awkward.

"Hmph, I don’t miss him one bit." She pouted, denying it outwardly.

Maybe she had just gotten used to seeing Noah Drexler every day lately, so his sudden departure for a few days left her feeling unexpectedly empty inside.

Seeing her stubbornness, the butler didn’t say anything more, just covered her mouth and smiled.

Just as Summer was about to turn and re-enter the villa, a servant came over and handed her a phone.

"Ma’am, your phone has been ringing nonstop."

Hearing this, Summer quickly reached out to take the phone and looked at the name on the screen.

It was a call from her manager, Jessica.

"Hello, Jessica." She answered the call and opened with a line.

"Summer, about the interview I mentioned before, plus a magazine cover shoot, I’ve already customized the wardrobe for you. If you’re free today, come over and try them on." Jessica’s voice came from the phone.
