My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively-Chapter 291: Summer, I’m Here to Take You Away
Inside the fitting room.
When Summer Shawcross finally managed to change into that long dress, her face felt warm.
She hadn’t looked carefully earlier; this beautiful gown was actually a low-cut and backless style, fitting her perfectly.
But... the hint of cleavage in the front and the revealed lines on her back made her feel a bit embarrassed.
Though the dress was beautiful... she had no doubt that if she wore such a dress to shoot for a magazine... that crazy man Noah Drexler would undoubtedly do something outlandish again.
So... rationally, Summer Shawcross had no choice but to expend some effort to change out of the dress.
"Jessica, I want to change clothes..."
Summer Shawcross walked out of the fitting room holding the dress, only to find that Jessica was nowhere to be seen and there was no response.
The store seemed to be... suspiciously quiet.
"Jessica?" she said, her face showing a puzzled expression, and turned to walk down the stairs to the first floor.
However, just a few steps down the stairs, she noticed a figure with its back to her, waiting at the stairwell.
It was a man in a silver-gray suit, exuding a gentle demeanor.
Summer Shawcross stopped in her tracks.
The man slowly turned around, his face gentle with a smile, looking at her.
"Summer."
Upon seeing who it was, Summer Shawcross’s expression froze, gradually showing a hint of disdain.
"Why are you here, where is everyone else?" she turned her head, looking around the store.
When she saw several unconscious people on the ground, her expression turned to shock.
Seeing her expression, Dustin Hughes’s face showed a hint of tension, quickly explaining to her.
"They’re just temporarily unconscious."
He knew she disliked cold-hearted people, which is why she always despised Noah Drexler.
And he wouldn’t be like that, at least... not in front of her.
Hearing Dustin Hughes’s words, Summer Shawcross’s expression softened slightly, then she turned to look at him.
"What do you want?" she looked at Dustin Hughes with a cold demeanor.
Her cold expression made Dustin Hughes’s smile pause for a moment, then he continued smiling gently at her, saying.
"Summer, I’m here to pick you up."
"Pick me up?" Summer Shawcross looked puzzled, gazing at him warily, wondering what scheme he was plotting.
Dustin Hughes nodded, then suddenly walked toward her.
Upon seeing this, Summer Shawcross was startled and quickly stepped back two steps.
Her reaction made Dustin Hughes’s face pale, but he stopped nonetheless.
"Summer, I know you resent me for leaving you with that man, but did you know, in the past two years, I haven’t had a single moment of happiness." He gave a bitter smile, his face full of guilt and pain as he spoke.
"But if I could do it all over again, I would have chosen to take you away two years ago."
The thing he regretted most in his life was not being courageous and decisive enough to take her away back then!
Listening to Dustin Hughes’s words, Summer Shawcross only felt a wave of insincerity.
However, Dustin Hughes didn’t notice the subtle change in her expression and continued to look at her with deep affection, his emotions somewhat stirred as he spoke.
"But it’s all okay now, it’s all coming to an end soon, Summer... come with me now, I’ve prepared everything, trust me, I’ll give you a stable life."
