I made a different request

“Also…I was wondering if maybe you could cook outside, instead of in the kitchen?”

“Indeed…if it is anything complicated, then it might be difficult. However, if it’s just hamburgers then it should be fine. Though, many of the ingredients would have to be prepared in advance.”

“In that case, the garden…no, that might be too small. Somewhere outside of the premises…”

There was a lot of space between the walls and the road. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

Though, I suppose there was a chance that monsters could come close…but with Leo and so many fenrirs, that could hardly be a problem.

“While it will be a lot of work, we will do our best. Besides, it will be good for the other cooks to experience it. Please leave it to us.”

Apparently, it was not uncommon for nobles to go on long trips and bring their cooks with them.

None of them had accompanied us to the forest, but apparently some had during our last trip to Range village… I had not noticed it.

Well, they were dressed like everyone else, so that was probably why.

“Thank you. Well, I will go and ask Claire and the others for permission as well.”

While I was sure they would not object, I should still ask them anyway.

“Yes. However, may I ask why you want us to cook outside? Do you want the fenrirs to watch?”

“That is part of the reason…”

Ms. Helena was right to be puzzled. After all, there was a place to cook, so why not cook there?

“I’m a little worried about Ms. Gelda. It was quite a disaster the last time she helped, and so I want to keep an eye on her.”

“Ms. Gelda? Yes, that did surprise me. But nothing of that degree has happened since… Though, I have seen some things…”

Ms. Helena chuckled.

According to the other servants, before she was assigned to me, she would sometimes trip or make mistakes. But it was not as bad or often as it was now.

It seemed like becoming involved with me had made her more clumsy.

And while I didn’t think that I could study her to find out the reason…I did wonder if the same thing would happen again.

“Wuff…”

“What is it, mama?”

“Wuff.”

While I was talking to Ms. Helena, I suddenly heard Leo sighing.

But then she shook her head as if it was nothing. Was she just disappointed that she wouldn’t be able to help?

Regardless, I then went back to the garden in order to ask Feri how long it would be for him to return…

“Now, Feri. You be careful out there.”

“Gurru!”

After lunch on the following day, we gathered in front of the gate to see Feri off.

A bundle had been tied around his neck with a cloth, just like we had done with Leo before.

“Don’t eat it until you’re hungry, alright?”

“Gur!? Gur…”

As he was clearly tempted, Tilura had to warn him.

It was filled with cooked meat, including hamburgers.

Apparently, he was going to have to search for the others in the forest, and so some food was prepared for him.

While they did have their own territory within the forest, they did not stay in the same spot the whole time.

I did wonder if they would move without their leader, but he said that they moved because he wasn’t there… I would have to ask him more about that later. ɽＡΝȱβÊṩ

Regardless, even if they stayed within their territory, it was a large forest, so it might take some time for him to find them.

So that was why we gave him some food. It was all cooked, so it should last longer.

Though, we were worried that he would eat it all at once…
