As I turned to the fenrirs, Feri immediately barked and walked towards me.
He then sat down and they lay on his back so that I could pet him.
Leo also extended her paw and patted him lightly.
I was relieved to see that he had returned on time, and without any problems or injuries.
Though, I did wonder if there was anything in the forest that could really harm fenrirs.

“Ah, I see. Something similar happened in Bleiyu village as well.”
While Feri was not harmed, there was some dirt on his fur.
Sebastian then pointed to a pile behind the ro of sitting fenrirs.
It looked like orcs…but also other monsters.
Perhaps Feri saw it as a kind of payment for the hamburgers.

Volgrau was by the gate. He was making himself small and his tail was between his legs.

While the others were all surprised, I had to do something. And so I went to the nearest fenrir and petted it.
It was scared at first, but then it let out a comfortable groan.
Leo nodded approvingly.
And like that, with the help of Liza, I went around and petted all of the fenrirs…

After it was done, I stood in front of the fenrirs with Leo once again.
Feri must have done something before coming here, as the fenrirs were quite unified… Perhaps the pack was already good with coordination.
Regardless, it was impressive to see them all get up and make a line again.
“Good work, Mr. Takumi.”
“There were more than I expected. It was a little tiring, having to pet all of them…”
There were thirty fenrirs excluding Feri. And so I felt a little tired now.
And it had taken quite a long time…
