My Beloved Dog is the Strongest in Another World-Chapter 1218
We listened to Sebastian’s explanation
“It is about Ms. Gelda…”
“And the fairy.”
“Ah, yes…the fairy. I have heard stories about them, but…”
“It is the same with me. They sometimes appear in books…but as far as I am aware, their existence has not been confirmed.”
Claire and Sebastian were thinking with their arms crossed.
Alfred nodded in agreement.
“In the first place, what are they?”
I really knew nothing about them.
Back on earth, they sometimes appeared in western stories. I suppose they were mischievous and small…and had wings.
Ms. Gelda’s fairy was also small and able to fly.
However, it looked rather strange.
It was very wooly…
“Hmm. Indeed. I suppose I can explain to you about fairies then.”
“Thank you.”
For a moment, there was a twinkle in Sebastian’s eyes.
He rarely let a chance like this pass him.
“Of course, I can only tell you what I have read. Well…first of all. Fairies are said to live far away from any human settlements.”
“She did say something about a rule…where they were supposed to stay hidden.”
“It appears to be that way. I do not know what the reason is… But fairies do seem to live by their own rules. I had never heard that they liked children before. That part was a surprise.”
It did make me wonder if they were actually seen quite often by children… Ms. Gelda’s fairy did not seem very cautious. Besides, the cockatrices and other creatures seemed to be able to see them.
“Judging by what I have read…I believe they are very weak and can only use a little magic. Still, they are quite good at tricking people.”
“Like turning invisible.”
“Yes.”
As they were weak, they needed the ability to protect themselves.
If you could turn invisible, it would be easier to hide or run away.
“Some of the supposed sightings were from children…which matches what the fairy said. However…such stories are rarely taken seriously or proven to be true.”
“Well…I’m not sure why anyone would believe children who said they saw a fairy who then turned invisible.”
At least a child could be humored. But if an adult said that…people would wonder if they had gone mad.
“According to the books…when they find a human that they like, they will make a contract to stay by their side.”
“…Like Ms. Gelda.”
“Indeed. But when it comes to the details about the contract and fairies…that is all that I know. And so I cannot explain any more.”
“That was almost nothing…”
As there were so few sightings, there were not many opportunities to make records. And so they were just mysterious creatures.
In a way, perhaps they were like Silver Fenrirs.
A rare species that were like beings from mythology…
