My Co-renting Lady Boss-Chapter 1639 - 1638: Dealing with the Invitation
"Get lost, I’m not as much of a beast as you. Precisely because nothing happened, I need to set things right in time."
Tang Ming rolled his eyes at Shao Wuyou in annoyance.
"Don’t pay attention to him, he’s just an animal who thinks with his lower half."
Hua Yingjie teased with a smile.
"Nonsense! A man who isn’t a rascal has something wrong with his physiology. If everyone relied on feelings to get in bed, how would those women who sell flesh make a living?"
Shao Wuyou held his head high and said righteously, "Tang Ming, don’t act all innocent after taking advantage. As they say, refusing hospitality is outrageous. If Lu Xiaolu is willing to be with you, just sleep with her; you have nothing to lose anyway."
"What kind of twisted logic is this, and how do you have so many of them?"
Tang Ming looked at Shao Wuyou speechlessly, "I’ve made up my mind, no more fooling around in the future."
"Ah, this is like the legendary ’Fat pieces of meat behind the rich man’s gate while the bones freeze on the roadside.’ 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Meng Xianjun howled, "Think about it, we’re all still bachelors, but you’re complaining about having too many beautiful girlfriends; how are the rest of us supposed to live?"
"Is Tang Ming here?"
At that moment, an abrupt voice suddenly rang out.
"I am Tang Ming."
Tang Ming looked toward the door in confusion, only to see a plainly-dressed male student peering in from the entrance.
"Come out, I need to talk to you about something."
The male student waved to Tang Ming.
"No way? Even guys are looking for you now? Your charm is a bit overwhelming, isn’t it?"
Shao Wuyou wore a quirky expression.
"Scram."
Tang Ming rolled his eyes, stood up, and headed toward the door.
"What’s the matter?"
Tang Ming stepped out of the classroom, looking at the male student suspiciously.
"I’m passing a message for someone. The vice president of the Red Cherry Blossom Association invites you to dinner tonight."
The boy handed Tang Ming an invitation.
"Red Cherry Blossom Association?"
Tang Ming was slightly stunned. It seemed he had no connection with this organization, so why the sudden invitation?
"What’s the name of your vice president? Why isn’t it on the invitation?"
Tang Ming glanced at it and asked the student in puzzlement.
"Sorry, the vice president instructed me not to tell you his name; he said he wants to surprise you."
The man responded politely and then turned to leave.
"What’s going on?"
Tang Ming was left quite puzzled.
Back at his seat, Shao Wuyou and the others immediately grabbed the invitation from Tang Ming’s hand to study it.
"Oh my, we just reconciled with the little Martial Arts group, and now the Red Cherry Blossom Association pops up. Could it be that they have a grudge against you too?"
Shao Wuyou looked at Tang Ming worriedly.
"Impossible, I don’t know anyone from the Red Cherry Blossom Association at all."
Tang Ming shook his head with certainty.
"I’m not interested in this organization."
Meng Xianjun disdainfully curled his lips, "My priority now is to figure out Tang Yiming’s identity. If he’s approaching Lu Xiaolu with another motive, then things might get interesting."
"I have a guess."
Hua Yingjie suddenly spoke up.
"Let’s hear it."
Tang Ming perked up.
"Do you remember Sun Peng and the others from that day at Shui Yifang? Those young guys who manage billions in funds; their economic power might be linked to the Red Cherry Blossom Association."
Hua Yingjie shared his hypothesis.
"Oh crap, there’s really a grudge then."
Shao Wuyou shivered, recalling how Sun Peng and the others got swindled out of billions, wondering if this could indeed be their revenge.
"That’s definitely possible. I really need to meet this so-called vice president."
Tang Ming squinted, intrigued by this extremely wealthy organization; after all, no one in this world dislikes having more money.
"Could it be such a coincidence? Besides, Sun Peng and the others don’t even know our identity."
Meng Xianjun nonchalantly said.
Little did Tang Ming know, Hua Yingjie’s guess happened to hit the mark this time.
In the office of the Red Cherry Blossom Association headquarters, Du Kai was intriguedly looking at the information on Tang Ming displayed on the computer.
Wearing a suit, Huang De sat opposite him at the desk, looking displeased.
"Interesting, really interesting."
Du Kai smiled, looking at Huang De with interest, "I didn’t expect you’d get swindled out of billions with your brain, quite a rare feat."
"Quit the sarcasm, I found out that the guy who conned me is likely Tang Ming."
Huang De complained to Du Kai, "I need your help dealing with his enterprises, why are you inviting him to dinner?"
"To be honest, I was already observing this person, intending to bring him into the Red Cherry Blossom Association; I just never had a good reason."
Du Kai chuckled, "I didn’t expect you two would become enemies, and now I can use this as an excuse to meet him and perhaps resolve your conflict."
"Resolve? He swindled me out of so much money, shaming me in front of my subordinates. That feud is set in stone and absolutely beyond reconciliation."
Huang De frowned, firmly expressing his stance.
"Why do you speak so immaturely?"
Du Kai frowned slightly, reprimanding seriously, "For people like us, there are no eternal friends or enemies, only eternal interests. Tang Ming is someone who can bring us benefits."
"Bullshit, I only know he swindled a lot of money from me, haven’t seen any benefits."
Huang De cursed irritably.
"Haha, did you know that Wu Tian of Dragon Tooth borrowed forty billion from us?"
Du Kai looked at Huang De with amusement.
"I heard Dragon Tooth mortgaged many of its assets to our organization. The interest isn’t low, and they promised to facilitate our business expansion nationwide. That’s real benefit."
Huang De nodded.
"Good that you know. Now I’ll tell you, the reason Dragon Tooth borrowed from us is because of Tang Ming."
Du Kai sat up straight, sighing with admiration, "For one organization to outperform both the Ming Group and the Dark Group, that achievement alone commands my respect."
"What is this all about then?"
Huang De grew interested.
"A while back, I accidentally went to watch a match at the underground fight arena. Tang Ming and his crew conspired there, swindling the arena for billions, and I made five billion from it too.
There was no way a mere arena could cover such funds, so I grew suspicious. After investigating, I discovered the money came from Dragon Tooth.
Now that Dragon Tooth is in financial trouble, they had to borrow from the Red Cherry Blossom Association to fill the gap in order to maintain operations. All of this ultimately stems back to Tang Ming."
Du Kai recounted the situation’s ins and outs.
"I see."
Upon hearing this, Huang De thought quickly and realized this might be a good opportunity to retaliate against Tang Ming.
"I know what you’re thinking, but until Tang Ming expresses his stance, you aren’t allowed to act recklessly."
Du Kai frowned, sternly warning, "If Tang Ming can join the organization, then everyone will be partners in the future, understand?"
