My Cuckhold System-Chapter 120: Third Layer
The guard looked down at the floor... there was nothing... No hole or crack or damage...
"Sir, there’s nothing—"
West on the other hand, didn’t say a word... he simply stepped toward the exact spot Mr. Ibe had pointed at.
He crouched slightly and placed his palm flat against the floor.
His eyebrows furrowed slightly as he felt something...
Something shifting beneath layers of rock and earth...
Cold radiated upward through the stone into his skin...
West stood abruptly.
"Stay back," he ordered sharply.
The authority in his tone made both the guard and Mr. Ibe instinctively retreat several steps.
West clenched his fist and punched.
Boom!
The impact cracked outward with a thunderous boom that echoed violently through the chamber.
The ground fractured slightly but did not cave.
He punched again...
And again...
Each strike sent shockwaves through the surroundings, stirring debris and loose dust into the air.
The ground vibrated continously but remained intact... like a sealed door without a visible handle.
West’s stood to his feet and called out...
"Gor’thala."
A green flare ignited beside him...
The air distorted as a ten-foot-tall figure materialized.
Gor’thala bowed slightly as her massive greenish frame radiated restrained power.
"Master."
"Attack the ground," West commanded.
She didn’t question it.
Arcane energy gathered in her hands and she slammed it downward.
A wave of destructive force crashed into the stone.
The chamber shook violently as cracks spiderwebbed outward but once again, the floor did not collapse.
She attacked repeatedly, layering spells atop spells...
Impact after impact...
Yet the surface refused to give way.
It was like striking the lid of something designed to only open from within.
West’s eyes narrowed upon realizing that brute force wouldn’t work.
He began scanning the area again with his gaze drifting from place to place as he touched everything in sight...
He unknowningly leaned againt the cracked statue for balance and then suddenly, the crack deepened...
A faint sound echoed as stone began to split...
West immediately stepped back.
The fissure along the statue extended downward, crawling toward the base and reaching the ground.
The floor suddenly began to split.
A thin curvy line formed at the base of the statue and raced across the stone beneath West’s feet.
"West!" Mr. Ibe shouted.
"Stay back!" West commanded without looking away.
The crack widened and almost instantaneously, a gap formed.
Moments later, elongated and slightly distorted hands began to emerge, phasing partially through the stone.
They reached upward, clawing at West’s figure.
Gor’thala reacted instantly and fired Arcane blasts from her palms, striking the limbs.
The hands splattered apart into dark, viscous fragments upon impact.
But as they disintegrated, the crack began closing again.
The ground sealing itself, almost as though, it was about to reshape everything back to the way it was like nothing had happened here.
"Gor’thala!" West barked.
Without hesitation, she thrust both massive hands into the narrowing gap.
Her fingers wedged between the splitting stone and then she pulled.
The crack resisted, trying to force shut but Gor’thala’s brute strength was out of this world...
The ground trembled and creaked continously, before widening as she pulled the crack apart.
More hands pushed upward, attempting to force it closed.
"Seraphyra," West immediately called out.
A surge of blue-white energy spiraled beside him.
A massive serpentine form manifested, elegant yet deadly.
Seraphyra’s luminous scales shimmered in the dim chamber light and without instruction, she understood.
Her long, powerful body slid forward, forcing itself between the widening fissure.
She braced against both sides and pushed.
The gap widened further, reaching ten feet in width and then more.
A rush of freezing air burst upward from below.
The cold was so intense that it felt unnatural.
A blue glow from beneath illuminated the chamber walls in ghostly light.
West stepped toward the edge.
He turned briefly toward Mr. Ibe and the guard.
"Stay here."
They could only nod, stunned beyond speech.
Without hesitation, West jumped.
Gor’thala and Seraphyra followed after him instantly, dropping into the abyss as well.
The moment they vanished below, the gap sealed shut.
Darkness swallowed them and for several seconds, they fell. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Cold intensified rapidly as the air grew thinner...
The blue glow beneath expanded, revealing depth far greater than expected.
The fall was at least a hundred feet down... maybe more due to how long they had been dropping...
Wind howled upward through the shaft and Seraphyra reacted immediately by coiling her serpentine body around West mid-air, cushioning him within her embrace.
"Master... I’ve got you," she winked at West with a playful expression despite the intensity of the situation.
Gor’thala descended faster than them with her body angled downward like a living projectile.
Boom!
A loud booming sound rang out as she landed with one knee pressed against the ground.
The ground beneath her cracked slightly and for a moment she didn’t move.
Seraphyra absorbed West’s landing entirely, lowering him gently to the surface before uncoiling.
West straightened slowly and looked around.
The sight before him was impossible to describe...
This was like being in another world...
"So the Eternal Ruins has more than just two layers... up to a century and no one ever discovered the third..." West mumbled in disbelief.
The cavern stretched outward beyond visible limits.
The ceiling soared high above, vanishing into a blue mist that glowed faintly like an artificial sky.
Everything was tinted in shades of blue.
The ground beneath them wasn’t normal stone... it was sculpted ice-like terrain but not frozen water... more like something crystalline.
Translucent pathways curved and twisted like rivers of hardened light.
Strange hills rose in uneven clusters with rough gliterring surfaces and at the peaks of these hills... bue flames burned.
Yet, they didn’t melt the terrain.
Rock formations surrounded the landscape, dark and angular and between them laid dozens of pits.
Each pit descended into deeper darkness and at the bottom of each, bue fire raged...
It would occasionally burst forth in waves, illuminated skeletal shapes along the edges with its glow.
