Chapter 656: Chapter 656: Signing Another Three-Month Agreement (8)

Dong Xin Yan’s body shook even more violently. Even though she knew that Gu Ningyi might be angry with her, which was why he was treating her that way, hearing his dissatisfaction and complaints felt like something had stabbed the softest part of her heart, causing her to bend over in pain.

"Gu Ningyi, I’m sorry, I know it was me who hurt you before, but I truly care about you now. I’m really worried about your health. If you’re taking those medicines because of me, please stop taking them..."

"Yes, I’m taking these medicines because of you, and even more than just these medicines!" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Gu Ningyi interrupted her harshly, his dark eyes deep and gloomy, full of resentment and hatred. "Do you want to know what happened to me these four months? Fine, I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you everything!"

Gu Ningyi abruptly stood up from the sofa, grabbed the car keys, took a few steps to stand in front of her, seized her wrist, and pulled her out of the room.

He dragged her all the way downstairs, walked towards the garage, unlocked the car, opened the passenger door, shoved Dong Xin Yan inside, and slammed it shut. He then went around to the driver’s seat, got in, started the engine, and stomped on the gas pedal, shooting the car forward with great speed.

The car sped along, the speed soaring straight away. Gu Ningyi’s handsome face was tense, his dark eyes cold and stern, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly, the veins on the back of his hands standing out.

The car was a convertible, and the cold, cutting wind of the night stabbed at Dong Xin Yan’s skin like blades, making it hard for her eyes to stay open. Her face turned even paler, yet she bit her lower lip hard and said nothing.

After an indeterminate amount of time, a piercing brake sound reached her ears as the car came to a sudden stop. Gu Ningyi got out from the driver’s seat, went to the other side, opened the door, and directly pulled Dong Xin Yan out.

Dong Xin Yan was still in shock, her mind blank, only able to be dragged along by him, stumbling as she followed behind.

Dong Xin Yan didn’t know where Gu Ningyi was taking her. She only knew that he led her for a while and then stopped in front of a room. He briskly swiped the key card, and once the door opened, he forcefully pushed her inside.

The room was still dark, not yet lit, and Dong Xin Yan unconsciously took a step forward, tripping over something—it seemed to be a bottle. She paused, stunned, and stopped moving.

With a "snap," all the lights in the room suddenly turned on, the abrupt brightness making Dong Xin Yan squint her eyes. After a few seconds, she slowly opened them.

The sight before her left her dumbfounded.

This... is this still a room? So messy... so many empty wine bottles scattered all over the place, in this vast room, you’d almost struggle to find a spot to stand.

"Where... is this?" Dong Xin Yan mumbled in a daze, turning to look at the man behind her.

Gu Ningyi’s tall figure leaned against the door panel, arms crossed, his dark eyes coldly scanning the room before settling on Dong Xin Yan’s face. He spoke each word slowly, "I spent my first month here."

"Spent here?" Dong Xin Yan repeated his words slowly, her pupils dilating, shaking her head in disbelief.

So, all these empty wine bottles... he drank them all?
