My Dominant Contract Husband Won't Let Me Go-Chapter 682: You Have to Take Responsibility for Me (10)
Can’t get married?
Wei Xinruo’s eyes grew brighter, unable to suppress her curiosity, "Sister, what exactly are you going to do?"
Do what? Of course, it’s to do something that will force Gu Ningyi to take responsibility!
Dong Xin Yan’s smile deepened.
After leaving the hospital, Dong Xin Yan went to the mall, headed straight to the lingerie store, and asked the clerk to recommend a super sexy piece of lingerie. She swiped her card to pay, then went to the tobacco and alcohol store, bought a pile of assorted liquors, carried them all, and hailed a taxi back to the villa.
She never intended to take it this far, but Gu Ningyi drove her to it!
Previously going on dates was tolerable, but now he wants to get married outright. If she does nothing and lets him marry obediently, she wouldn’t be Dong Xin Yan!
Dong Xin Yan stood by the bed, looked at the lingerie spread on the bed, then at the pile of alcohol next to it. Her hands clenched tightly at her sides as she resolutely picked up the set of lingerie.
After changing, Dong Xin Yan popped open all the bottles, mixing them into a large cup. Then, she pinched her nose and slowly drank it down.
The mix of various liquors, even if just in this small cup, was enough to knock her out.
She drank to gather courage, but more importantly, when drunk, she could act without hesitation and pursue her goal relentlessly!
Dong Xin Yan downed the entire cup in one go, waited a while until the alcohol hit, shook her head, and, while still somewhat conscious, got up and walked toward Gu Ningyi’s room.
Once inside, Dong Xin Yan lay directly on Gu Ningyi’s bed, pulled the quilt over herself, then grabbed her phone to check the time. It was about eleven o’clock; she guessed he would return in half an hour, by which time the alcohol would fully consume her senses, and then... she could do whatever she wanted!
Gu Ningyi, prepare yourself!
At eleven-thirty, a black car slowly drove into the villa. As the driver opened the rear door, Gu Ningyi stepped out with his long legs.
The villa ahead was completely dark, like shrouded in a cloud. That eerie yellow light seemed never to have existed; his world had always been so dark.
Gu Ningyi lowered his gaze, a sneer tugging at the corner of his lips.
Her efforts... always faltering midway, no matter how sweet the words, she would eventually repeat the same mistakes.
He knew it well, had tried numerous times, experienced it, and yet in this moment, the softest part of him still ached.
Gu Ningyi stood motionless, prompting the driver to ask, "Mr. Gu, is there anything else?"
His voice snapped him out of his daze. Gu Ningyi slowly shook his head, his voice indifferent, "No, go rest now."
For some reason, although his boss’s tone was as calm as ever, the driver faintly sensed melancholy in his words and instinctively glanced towards the main house of the villa, feeling a bit insightful.
Pretending not to care is heavier and more fragile than truly caring. Because there’s no hope to hold onto, yet hope keeps emerging, only to watch it shatter before our eyes.
Gu Ningyi walked into the hall, his dark eyes involuntarily sweeping towards the sofa in the living room.
