Chapter 752: Chapter 752 Cinematic Proposal 7

Ye Siyuan held Ye Jingzhe’s hand, standing beside the female lead, also waiting anxiously.

"Auntie, should I go and check?" Ye Jingzhe volunteered.

Ye Siyuan gripped his small hand tightly. "Don’t cause more trouble. None of us should. Your uncle is very capable; we need to trust him. Let’s just wait here."

Ye Jingzhe, Little Bingshan, pressed his thin, cold lips together in frustration. He felt he wouldn’t cause trouble, but in his aunt’s eyes, he was just a child, unable to help his uncle.

After about ten minutes, both the female lead and Ye Siyuan grew restless and irritable.

Just then, two zombies suddenly emerged from the hallway they had used, their mechanical strides terrifying.

The female lead gasped, covering her mouth, unsure what to do.

Ye Siyuan also noticed. She immediately picked up Ye Jingzhe and said, "Let’s go!"

Staying put wasn’t wise; waiting idly would only lead to unnecessary casualties.

"But Uncle..."

Ye Siyuan forcefully pressed the elevator button. "We have to trust your uncle. Let’s go to the third floor and wait for him."

The elevator doors slid open, and Ye Siyuan hurried inside with Ye Jingzhe.

She called out to the female lead, "Hurry, what are you waiting for?"

The female lead, hands over her mouth, glanced back at the suddenly open elevator, then at the zombies. They had spotted her and were closing in frantically. She was caught in a dilemma, unsure what to do.

Ye Siyuan was frantic with anxiety!

She couldn’t understand the scriptwriter’s design; staying here to wait for the male lead was simply foolish!

Unfortunately, the female lead couldn’t hear her.

Ye Siyuan tried to pull her but her hand passed right through.

In the female lead’s world, Ye Siyuan didn’t exist, so she couldn’t grab her arm. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Ye Siyuan then realized that if the female lead didn’t leave, she couldn’t either.

Even when the elevator doors closed, it didn’t descend. Within a few seconds, the doors opened again.

"Auntie, you’re being affected by the female lead. You can’t leave."

Realizing this, Ye Siyuan stepped out of the elevator. "No choice then," she said. "We’ll have to fight!"

She shielded Ye Jingzhe behind her. "Don’t run around. Just stay behind me."

Three zombies advanced on them.

The NPC zombies could see not only the female lead but also Ye Siyuan and Ye Jingzhe.

Each zombie locked onto a target, opening its mouth to bite.

Ye Siyuan dodged, evading the lunging zombie. She didn’t forget to throw a punch, striking its abdomen hard. Then, she spun around with a flying kick aimed at another zombie rushing Ye Jingzhe.

Si Lisao returned just in time to witness this, his deep eyes widening in surprise.

He never expected that his little fiancée, who usually seemed so gentle and frail, could punch and kick with such power. Definitely not just a pretty face; she must have been trained!

Si Lisao had no time to admire his fiancée’s fighting prowess; he rushed over to help her.

The male lead also saw the female lead besieged by zombies and rushed to save her.

The moment the female lead saw the male lead, she was so moved tears welled in her eyes.

The female lead was pinned to the wall by a zombie. She was weak and struggled desperately but couldn’t break free, lacking Ye Siyuan’s strength. She cried out the male lead’s name.

Seeing his uncle arrive, Ye Jingzhe, Little Bingshan, immediately pressed the elevator button. He stood at the entrance, holding the doors open, which would allow everyone to escape into the elevator quickly once they broke free from the zombies.

Once Si Lisao and the male lead arrived, Ye Siyuan and the female lead immediately dashed into the elevator. They simultaneously called out to the men outside, "Get in, quick! Hurry!"

Si Lisao and the male lead had experience fighting zombies and were both skilled.

But more and more zombies were drawn by the commotion.

Seeing this, Si Lisao and the male lead rushed into the elevator just as the doors were closing, successfully keeping the swarming zombies out. They took deep breaths, relieved by their narrow escape.

Inside the elevator, Ye Siyuan squatted down.

Her earlier flying kick had been impressive, but she had already twisted her leg. Now the injury was worse, the pain piercing. She gritted her teeth, enduring it.

Si Lisao bent down and lifted her in a bridal carry. Noticing the cold sweat on her forehead, he guessed the reason and said, "If it hurts, cry out. Don’t hold it in."

"It doesn’t hurt," Ye Siyuan said, trying to sound relaxed. Wouldn’t screaming just attract the zombies?

"Pretty impressive. Who taught you self-defense?"

"Ah, my brother."

"Hmm, your brother’s not bad."

"Not just ’not bad’! You have no idea how unreasonable my brother is." Ye Siyuan recounted her brother’s "crimes." "He forced me to learn! I told him my hands and feet were for dancing, that I didn’t want to learn. So, he actually hired men to attack me! They didn’t hold back at all; they really hit me, forcing me to fight back. If I didn’t, I’d just get beaten up!"

Recalling it still made Ye Siyuan angry. Si Lisao, imagining the scene, didn’t join her in condemning Mo Yinhe but instead started to laugh.

"You’re laughing? Whose side are you on?"

Just then, the elevator reached the third floor.

They stepped out of the elevator one after another and encountered no more zombies.

Si Lisao, carrying the still-complaining Ye Siyuan, exited the elevator. He followed the corridor to a room and tried to push the door open, but found it locked from the inside.

The male lead knocked on the door.

A wary voice came from inside, "Who is it?"

"Two cats," the male lead replied.

Ye Siyuan was puzzled.

Si Lisao explained, "It’s a code phrase, for making contact."

Sure enough, upon hearing this, the door was unlocked from inside.

The chubby man waved at them. "Thought you two wouldn’t make it back! Come on in."

The male lead, supporting the female lead, quickly entered the room. Si Lisao followed, carrying Ye Siyuan, with Ye Jingzhe, Little Bingshan, close behind.

"Are you okay?" the chubby man asked the male lead.

The male lead shook his head. "We’re fine."

The male lead scanned the room. Seeing the young man and the elderly couple were also there, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Everyone was safe.

However, the young man approached, his eyes like X-rays, scrutinizing the male lead and female lead. He wanted to determine if either had been bitten by a zombie, fearing one might be infected and yet to turn.

That wary gaze annoyed the male lead.

He growled, "Go sit over there."

After confirming neither was harmed, the young man walked to the side and sat on a chair.

This was a small cinema on the cruise ship.

The male lead helped the female lead to a leather chair and had her sit. He then sat beside her, taking her trembling hands in his. "It’s okay now," he comforted her gently. "Don’t be scared."

The female lead nodded, but her body still trembled uncontrollably.

Si Lisao also placed Ye Siyuan on a leather sofa. He reached out and gently tidied her messy hair.
