My Dragon King System-Chapter 336: Prisoners To Solitude
Meanwhile, far above the void of space, the avatar had begun its assigned procedure the moment the original Aiden issued the command.
First, it vanished from its position and reappeared at a random point along the edge of the universe, a location where it could oversee everything happening within this reality.
The universe’s structure consisted of two distinct shells: an outer and an inner. The outer shell was like the outskirts of existence, reaching all the way to its boundaries.
This was where places like Ah’Me and Aiden’s Pocket Domain resided.
The inner shell contained everything else. Planets, stars, galaxies, dimensions where life flourished and civilizations rose and fell. The material universe.
The avatar now hovered within the outer shell, suspended in place as its Dragon’s Sight activated and immediately drew vast amounts of information into its mind.
It could see everyone and everything, across all dimensions and in every corner of the universe, all at once.
The sensory input would have shattered even the mind of an Archon instantly, but the avatar processed it easily, sorting through billions of data points simultaneously.
It was searching for one specific thing: any person or entity that possessed transcendence fragments beyond what should be normal for their nature.
Almost immediately, it found something.
The avatar’s eyes widened first with surprise, then narrowed into a scowl
Space distorted around it, and vanished from the edge of the universe.
The avatar reappeared in an entirely different location.
A distant dimension, one characterized by endless winter. Snow fell constantly here, accumulating in drifts that never melted. The sky was a perpetual gray, and the temperature would have killed any normal human within minutes.
In the center of this frozen wasteland was what looked like a mansion. It was a dark, imposing structure and snow covered its roof and clung to its walls.
The building itself radiated a faint sensation of warmth that kept the immediate area around it from being completely buried.
Well, it had been built through sorcery at the level of divinity, which was why it was even able to exist here in the first place.
The avatar walked forward through the snow with its red eyes fixed on the mansion’s entrance, and as it reached the front door, the door swung open.
It was Lilith standing in the doorway.
Although her appearance was still as striking and beautiful as ever, she somehow still looked weary and physically exhausted.
When she saw who stood before her, that weariness deepened even more.
"Why have you come, King of Dragons?" she asked.
Her tone wasn’t harsh or disrespectful. If anything, it was neutral. She knew her place in the cosmic hierarchy now. Knew exactly what Aiden was capable of and what he could do to her if he chose.
"I’ll be coming in now, Lilith," the avatar said, stepping forward without waiting for invitation.
Lilith stepped aside immediately, allowing him to enter the grand chamber.
The interior of the mansion was surprisingly well-appointed. It had elegant furnitures and a fireplace that seemed to have been providing most of the lighting to this place.
Standing in the center of the chamber was Asahel, and when his eyes landed on Aiden, dread flooded through him.
There was silence for a moment between them.
After the reconstruction of the world, Aiden had returned to his Pocket Domain to address the question of what to do with Lilith and Asahel.
Both had been complicit in Samael’s schemes, yes, but both had also been victims in their own ways. Manipulated and used for the demon king’s ambitions.
So rather than executing them, which would have been well within his rights, he’d chosen a different approach.
He released them from the confinement of his pocket domain and let them go.
But on one very specific condition.
They could exist freely, but only in dimensions that possessed no life whatsoever, not even things resembling animals.
And if they traveled to or stayed in any other dimension with even the smallest spark of life for more than one minute, Aiden would come personally and eliminate them both.
Permanently.
So you see, right in this mansion of theirs, although comfortable was also their prison.
They were prisoners to solitude, condemned to spend eternity with only each other for company.
Aiden looked around the space conjured by Lilith’s magic before finally speaking.
"I came here because one of you is inflicted with a part of Samael’s consciousness."
The avatar’s eye then tilted towards Asahel. "I’m talking to you, son of Lilith."
Lilith’s eyes widened in genuine shock. She turned sharply toward her son. "What? I’m unsure what you mean, King of Dragons, but I’m certain there’s been a mistake."
Asahel said nothing at first. He simply stared back at Aiden.
"Go on," the avatar prompted. "Tell your mother. I’m certain as a being of divinity, you must’ve known already."
There was a short moment of silence before Asahel turned toward Lilith and nodded, confirming what the avatar had said was true.
In his case however, it hadn’t been unknown to him at all.
In the original timeline, before absorbing Asahel’s transcendence fragments, Samael had explained his contingency plan to his son.
He’d been remarkably candid about it, perhaps out of some twisted sense of paternal honesty, or perhaps simply because he knew Asahel wouldn’t refuse.
The demon king had told him plainly: "I will take that which holds you alive, but I will also place a part of myself within you afterward. If something goes wrong, you will carry the seed of my return."
And ofcourse, Asahel had not refused nor protested.
Angels, by their very nature, did not disobey those they viewed as patriarchal figures. When someone they recognized as a father gave a command, resistance was nearly impossible.
Asides that however, Asahel had also lost the will to live.
In that original timeline, Lilith had been destroyed by the avatar who fought alongside Adam. She was the only being he cared about.
And with her gone, it no longer mattered to him what became of his body.
