My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 688
Chapter 688
The celebration for Anton’s official Supreme Rank wizard confirmation was a success in Anton’s opinion, due to the fact that the food that was served was something that Mrs. Noria could boast about for years.
Their head maid or chef had truly outdone herself. Even though it was only the family and all of the people in the manor and the businesses, the intimacy of not having any outsiders made the celebration much better in Anton’s belief.
Even though a lot of the surrounding noble families considered their family an upstart, probably due to envy for their rapid success, no one tried any malicious action against them because first of, their businesses were unique, especially the cinema, which could not be easily copied, second, even before Anton was confirmed as an official a Supreme Rank wizard, his reputation of being able to delved into the deep floors of a high-level dungeon alone was well-known. Add to the fact that the patriarch, who just arrived a few months ago, was now doing the same. Lastly, in Ormunda’s grand scheme of things, the noble and rich families, including theirs, in their corner of the kingdom, were still considered extremely minor families.
The celebration lasted for several hours. After that, Anton and Anders said their goodbyes. They planned to rest early since they would be delving into the high-level dungeon the next day, just the two of them.
Anders woke up Anton early the next day. He could see that his father was truly excited. Anders convinced his son that instead of delving just into the 30th floor, they should delve deeper, like into the 50th floor.
Anton understood that his father wanted the rapid leveling up that the experience that would come from delving into the deeper floors would provide them. They entered the portal that led to the rooms that Anders had semi-permanently rented in the hotel near the entrance to the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon. The portal was semi-permanent since Anders had never closed it, since he used the scroll of town portal that Anton gave his father. The only time it was closed was during the time his father needed to use the town portal scroll for emergency escape because they had underestimated the dungeon. The mistake was never repeated.
Anton also kept providing his father scrolls of town portal, since he wanted to make sure that Anders had the means to escape a truly perilous situation.
The suite that they rented to host the portal was filled with men and women who were part of Anders’s mercenary teams. He remembered that his father had several teams that were currently rotating the dungeons, and all of the teams were capable even without him. Anders’s team still prioritizes safety, so they mostly stuck to the upper floors of the high-level dungeon if Anders was not part of any of the teams. Regardless of whether they stuck to the upper floors, the Corridors of Amuneta was a high-level dungeon, and that meant that delving it was a lucrative endeavor.
Anton could see that each of the men and women of Anders’s adventurer team had powerful gears that came from the dungeon. He could understand why they were the envy of a lot of adventurer groups.
Raymond told him that Anders’s team had managed to save enough wealth to purchase a few more scrolls of unique classes.
Everyone was surprised that Anders returned to the dungeon immediately since he had just gone home a day ago. They were doubly surprised that Anton was there.
Anders announced to his adventurer groups about Anton’s official Supreme Rank wizard confirmation and showed off Anton’s identity token. Everyone looked on in awe, knowing how young Anton was.
Anton’s father then gathered his vice captains and informed them of his and Anton's intention to delve into the 50th floor of the dungeon. Anders’s vice-captains were understandably worried. They remembered when they had underestimated the dungeon before, and that they had to escape because of that. Anders had to keep reassuring his vice-captains that both father and son were sufficiently powerful for the said floor. The two vice-captains became a little too tiresome in their insistence that Anders should rethink their plan of delving into such a deep floor that Anders had to finally order his vice-captains to stop, and that his father’s decision was final.
Anton did not find fault in his father’s vice-captain's worried insistence since it showed that they cared for his father. After that, Anton and Anders proceeded to get the key to the 50th floor of the dungeon from the Adventurer’s Guild. They did not encounter any issues or delays since Anton was already known in the guild to have soloed the 65th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon.
The first thing Anton did when they entered the 50th floor of the high-level dungeon was to touch the gate to check if he could assign all the experience from killing the monsters to just go to his father, and he was able to. He briefly wondered how his Diablo System was able to integrate some of this world dungeon’s function, but such secrets were beyond him for now.
Next, Anton summoned all of his summons and commanded them to follow Anders’s command. Anton would just follow his father and his summons and would just be a bystander. Of course, he would assist if his father and the summons needed him to.
Anders’s current build was still the Hammerdin build, but he planned to continue to be the group's healer since he kept some points in the Prayer Aura. Anton would use the Fanaticism Aura to increase the summons power, and if the Prayer Aura was not needed, Anders would use the Concentration Aura in support of Anton’s father's Blessed Hammer Skill. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
One of the best features of Anton’s Diablo System was that all members in the party system would not be affected by the party member’s skills. That meant that Anton’s summons would not be affected by Anders’s Blessed Hammer.
During the first few groups of monsters, Anton was still a little worried. He did not want his father to get hurt, but Anders and his summons were truly powerful and were able to decimate the monsters from the 50th floor of the dungeon without too much effort.
Anton could see his father’s face, which was full of excitement. He understood what Anders was feeling at that moment. His father probably felt powerful, annihilating the monsters. He was in the forefront of every fight, and Anton’s summons was working as support as per Ander’s command. Anton did not even have to switch his aura from the Fanaticism Aura because even though Anders looked drunk with power, Anton’s father was still very much aware of his surroundings, and every time any of the summons needed healing, Anders would immediately switch to the Prayer Aura.
Anton was never targeted by any of the dungeon monsters, since if he were, he would just cast the Invisibility spell. He knew that monsters from that deep a floor should be able to detect him even if he was invisible, but it was easier for the monsters to just switch their target to either Anders or one of the summons.
When noon arrived, they had to stop for lunch. Anders was truly exhilarated because of the huge amount of experience points he had earned. After a few hours of fighting, he leveled up two levels.
While they were eating, Anders admitted to his son that killing the powerful monsters gave his father a deep sense of catharsis. During the time that they were running, Anders told his son that he felt powerless and was beginning to despair, but now, that despair was gone.
