Chapter 753

Even though Anton’s father felt a little indignant about how much wealth the wizards of Ormunda were receiving from Anton’s portal scroll, Anton and Anders really did not care about the coins. Their family was already getting wealthy from the businesses they had. In their case, the coins were becoming just a number rather than something they needed. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

What Anders was a little annoyed about was that Ormunda did not give credit to his son for the powerful portals they were using to assist in the fight against the Undead Coalition, as well as for simple travel.

Anders knew that Anton would have preferred to remain anonymous in terms of where the portals the Ormundan wizards were using came from. It would be better for them if the wizards claimed the magic as their creation, since it would make their family safe and not a target.

Anton handed all the town portal scrolls that he had transferred from the game to the real world to his father to be given to the Ormundan wizards once they had collected enough for next month. They had already fulfilled their quota for this month. Anton was not worried that they would not be able to give the required 20 town portal scrolls since he never stopped transferring the scrolls from the game to the real world ever since he received that option. He had already given twenty scrolls to Ormunda, and their family still had a total of 100 plus scrolls. He handed every scroll that he had collected to his father since he did not need them himself. He could use the scrolls in the game. The main advantage of the items that were transferred from the game to the real world was to share them with his family.

Even the scroll of identify was useful since Anton could use it to identify the items that dropped from dungeons, and did not really need them to be appraised by a third-party appraiser. He just did not bother with appraising the items and had let Raymond handle it for him.

Anton told his father that he had already received five extremely valuable spellbooks and two books in Array Creation that would allow him to keep a location to a specific season permanently, as long as the array was continued to be powered by mana stones.

“I don’t understand. You already have that magic. Our gardens, orchards, and small grain fields are already blooming all year long,” Anton’s father asked.

“It’s different. My mana rain just fills the soil with mana and keeps it stable so that plants can continue growing. Basically, the mana-filled soil would adjust itself to make sure that the plants would receive full nutrition. It would adjust the temperature so that the snow would melt once it touches the soil, and if there was flooding, the water would be diverted somewhere else. If the temperature became too hot, the mana-filled soil would convert the mana to moisture that would help the plants continue to grow. The mana would also make sure that the plants that grow on them would become extraordinarily healthy and full of nutrition that would greatly benefit the bodies of those who ate them. The spellbooks that I received from the forest elves would keep a specific location, like our garden in the season of spring, forever. Mostly it’s for aesthetic purposes,” Anton told his father.

Anders rolled his eyes when Anton admitted that the spells were mainly to make their surroundings beautiful.

Anton had cursory read the introduction of the Basic Array book and would admit that the most valuable thing that he had received in that trade was the two Array books. Once he studied them in detail, he could use them to create a much more robust and varied set of enchanted items based on his Diablo II spells.

Anders told him that the family was basically stable. That meant that his father could return to dungeon delving in peace. If truth be told, their family was now considered an important family, and no one would dare touch them since the powerful Ormunda wizards had declared that they were under their protection. His father admitted that the protection would only last as long as they kept supplying the portal scrolls to them.

Anton knew that. He knew that if the Ormundan wizard did not need his town portal scrolls anymore, the protection would disappear. He was a little doubtful, though, that the wizards would immediately discern the magic in the scrolls since it came from his Diablo System, which was extremely different from the standard magic of this world.

In all honesty, the powerful wizards could create portals or gates. The advantage of Anton’s portal scrolls was that there was no need to spend a huge amount of fortune and power to establish the portals. Even though the portal had limitations, they were negligible. Anyone with intelligence could utilize the portal in a way that would bypass its limit.

He wondered, though, how long a portal established using a town portal scroll would last. Anton had always thought that they would be permanent as long as they were not needed, but was startled when Anders told him that the portal his father was using needed to be established every two weeks. After two weeks, the portal would just disappear.

“I didn’t know that! I usually dismissed my portals within one to two days,” Anton admitted.

“Well, I thought you knew. You don’t need to worry. I already told the Ormundan Wizards that the portals would only last for two weeks and needed be established again using your scrolls.”

Anton just shook his head at how he missed some information regarding his system and items that came from his system.

Anders told Anton that Luna and Alfred were extremely busy, which was why they did not bother Anton for more television shows. Luna was shadowing Romina regarding the fashion magazine. The young lady looked extremely happy to be part of the magazine. Alfred was also busy because Anders enrolled him in school. It appeared that his tutors were neglecting the young boy’s education.

Anton’s four wizard apprentices were also doing well. Anders told him that they were now “level three” wizards and had learned a lot of spells. They could already function as wizard guards for the family, but Anders just asked them to continue increasing their power. Anton’s father was lending them the Insight Spear when Anders was not using it.

Anna also looked to be enjoying her stay in the academy. All the things that were happening in the family made Anton happy. If he was being honest, he was enjoying his travels and wanted to continue doing it, but he could only do so if the family was stable.

After a couple more hours of talking with his father, Anton returned to the forest elves’ kingdom.

Once he was back in the house assigned to him, instead of leveling up his Diablo Characters, Anton decided to study the Basic Array books. He became extremely fascinated with the knowledge contained in the book that he only stopped when he heard Enoril knocking on his door.

Enoril led Anton to the tavern where they had eaten dinner before, and the place was full. Basically, it already become known that Anton was showing a brand new, unique show for children called a cartoon. Even though it was supposed to be for children, it was still highly entertaining.

Thankfully, the elves were polite enough that they let the young elves be, and no older elves joined in on the fun of watching Avatar: The Last Airbender.
