My Fiancé's Scandals Never End, So I Married His Uncle Instead-Chapter 55: He Is Allergic to Twin Rooms
’No connections?’
’Inexperienced?’
’A sweet, innocent boy?’
’The absolute ruler of a super-conglomerate family from The Capital Circle, the ultimate boss of the cutthroat financial world, is here playing the completely opposite role of an innocent...’
’An aloof, ethereal man like him knows how to play games like this?’
Celia Sterling watched as the bodyguards and the two assistants following him remained completely unfazed, clearly used to this sort of thing. She looked at Silas Norwood in bewilderment. "What about me, then? Do I need to adopt a persona, too?"
"I brought Cece out here to relax. You don’t need to be tied down by a persona. Just have fun however you want." Silas Norwood’s hand hovered for a moment before lightly wrapping around her waist. This was what he’d wanted to do ever since he saw Kian Sterling embrace her in the banquet hall yesterday. With her soft, slender waist against his palm, he steadied himself and tested the waters, as if it were a casual remark. "But in terms of our cover, Cece is still my girlfriend, so for the next few days, we’ll need to share a room."
The large hand on her waist was scorching hot. Celia Sterling feigned nonchalance. "Oh," she said. "A room with two beds, right?"
Silas Norwood hesitated slightly. "This is my first time on *The Radiance* as well. I’m not sure."
「Seraphina Port, aboard *The Radiance* cruise ship.」
Guests were trickling aboard after having their memberships verified.
*The Radiance* was owned by Second Young Master North, the second-generation heir of the Seraphina Cosmos Group. Apex had made its fortune in real estate, and as the direct heir, Second Young Master North was an incredibly wealthy man. His ship, *The Radiance*, stood ten decks tall—an opulent, majestic vessel renowned throughout the global cruise industry.
In the port’s lounge area, Second Young Master North sat under a beach umbrella, his relaxed expression turning sullen after he received a phone call. He barked an order at the ship’s manager:
"Change every single twin-bed room on the cruise ship to a king-bed room."
The manager sounded troubled. "Sir, guests are already boarding and checking in. We have over thirty twin-bed rooms, and on such short notice..."
"I don’t give a damn," Second Young Master North snapped. "Get them all switched out within the hour. If you can’t get it done, you can pack your bags and get lost."
He hung up and started smoking in frustration.
Sitting across from him was Eldest Young Master Warren, the Crown Prince of the Starlight Group of Seraphina. The Starlight Group was one of the three largest personal care giants in Seraphina. Its skincare, floral water, perfume, and other personal care brands held a significant share of the domestic market, making him another obscenely wealthy figure.
The two of them were cousins.
"What’s got you so worked up?" In stark contrast to Second Young Master North’s foul mood, Eldest Young Master Warren was practically glowing. He waved a hand through the drifting smoke. "Spill it. Let your big bro get a laugh out of it, huh?"
"There’s this big shot in the club," Second Young Master North said, exhaling a cloud of smoke. "He’s always been super low-key at all the past club cruises, but this time, I don’t know what’s gotten into him. He’s claiming he’s allergic to twin beds." He conveniently left out the part about the assistant’s guilty tone on the phone. "If I don’t make the change, he’s not coming."
"’Allergic to twin beds?’ What the hell? Sounds to me like he’s got issues." Eldest Young Master Warren scoffed. "With your status, why do you have to indulge someone like that?"
"I really do have to," Second Young Master North said helplessly. "Look, you see your bro here acting all proud just because I have one high-class cruise ship. Well, this guy owns three mega-yachts ranked in the global top ten, not to mention several large shipping fleets. And from tidbits in our occasional chats, I’m guessing he also controls more than thirty maritime routes that cover dozens of ports..."
Eldest Young Master Warren’s interest was piqued. "Holy shit! Which big shot is that? Who’s that much of a baller?"
"I have no idea. Information on a tycoon of his caliber is kept under wraps. I once suggested he play host and let us check out one of his mega-yachts, but he didn’t even acknowledge me."
"But isn’t he coming here today?" Eldest Young Master Warren raised an eyebrow. "Make sure to give your bro an introduction."
Second Young Master North gestured toward the glamorous, well-dressed club members boarding the ship. "He’s probably hiding among them, but I have no clue who he is. For a big shot of that caliber, concealing his identity is child’s play. He’s been in the club for four or five years, and to this day, the only thing I know about him is that his WeChat ID is Rivermoon. I’m clueless about everything else."
"Rivermoon?" Eldest Young Master Warren’s voice trembled slightly. "Which Rivermoon?"
Before Second Young Master North could answer, Eldest Young Master Warren had already snatched his phone and was frantically opening WeChat. "Hurry, hurry, hurry! Pull up his profile and let your bro see."
A few seconds later.
Eldest Young Master Warren stared at the familiar ID and profile picture on Second Young Master North’s phone as if he’d just seen a ghost.
"You..." Second Young Master North stubbed out his cigarette, looking at his cousin with a mixture of shock and confusion. "What’s with you?"
Eldest Young Master Warren wiped a hand over his face and patted the file folder sitting next to him. "Bro, I’m here for him today too."
"You mean that perfume-ingredient magnate you were talking about?" Second Young Master North was completely baffled. "He’s *also* Rivermoon? What kind of god is this person, to be so loaded..."
"And that’s just the tip of the iceberg," Eldest Young Master Warren said decisively. "You have to get rid of those twin beds. If you’re short-staffed, I’ll send some of my people over. We absolutely must make sure our Daddy Rivermoon is well taken care of."
「Half an hour later, Celia Sterling and Silas Norwood arrived at Seraphina Port.」
Celia Sterling, naturally proud and beautiful, also shared Kian Sterling’s preference for vibrant, eye-catching clothing, and her appearance immediately drew numerous stares. After the initial moment of awe, however, most of the attention shifted to the man beside her, Silas Norwood.
Silas Norwood had long been accustomed to a life of privilege, and his stylist had deliberately cultivated an air of someone ’new to the world.’ Although he was thirty-one, his face took on a harmless, boyish quality when he concealed the sharp intensity of a man in power within his pale-gold eyes. He looked no different from a sweet, naive young man fresh out of college.
However, his towering height and perfect physique were captivating on their own. Combined with his top-tier looks—the kind that could make even the most discerning socialites lose their minds—he quickly became the target of countless furtive glances.
Celia Sterling felt the stares coming from all directions, but she remained poised and began to head for the ship with Silas Norwood.
"Cece, hold on," Silas Norwood said, stopping her. He led her toward the lounge area where Second Young Master North was. His tone was casual as he said, "Second Young Master North."
Second Young Master North was an active presence in the group chat and had posted plenty of photos of himself, so he wasn’t surprised to be recognized by a fellow member. Putting on an air of importance, he responded nonchalantly, "Something I can help you with?"
Silas Norwood glanced gently at Celia Sterling, then asked in all seriousness, "Would it be possible to arrange a room with two beds for us?"
A room with two beds?
The words alone were now enough to trigger a knee-jerk agitation in Second Young Master North.
"What twin beds? Where do you expect me to find twin beds?" He wouldn’t dare lash out at the big shot, but he had no reservations about being rude to a low-level member who obviously had no background and was just coasting on his looks. "This is a cruise ship, not a hotel! There’s one bed per room. Take it or leave it. Stop being so demanding!"
Silas Norwood lowered his gaze, his voice still gentle. "I can pay for it."
"You think I need your petty cash? This is my territory, which means I make the rules. Understand?"
Silas Norwood said nothing. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Celia Sterling gently tugged his hand. "Silas, just forget it. Sharing... sharing a room... it’s not like we can’t."
He let her lead him away.
Only after the couple had disappeared inside the ship did Eldest Young Master Warren click his tongue. "Who’s that guy?" he asked Second Young Master North. "He’s got the face of a heartbreaker!"
"A heartbreaker is right..." Second Young Master North sneered. "He’s been to five of these cruises, and every single time, he drives all the rich women insane. It’s a huge pain in the ass."
