Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Don’t! There’s Someone Outside

Caleb Rhodes dragged Nina Wynn by the hand, straight to the sink.

Before Caleb Rhodes could speak, Nina Wynn turned on the faucet herself.

The weather was cold, and even though the room was heated, the tap water was still bone-chillingly icy.

Nina relentlessly washed her hands.

The biting cold stung her skin and senses, and she quietly felt the throbbing pain from her little finger.

Only when her hands were bright red and the skin was nearly raw did she raise them to Caleb Rhodes, whispering, "Is this clean enough?"

Caleb Rhodes’s icy gaze fell upon her little finger.

The little finger, which had once been critically injured, was redder than the others. It was slightly crooked, different from her other, uninjured fingers.

Even though he had seen it many times, his heart still clenched with a sharp pang of pain. He took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the violent rage in his heart.

He bent down, lifted her up, and set her on the counter by the door.

He braced his hands on the wall on either side of her, looming over her.

His features were naturally cold, and now, on the verge of explosive anger, his intimidating presence was so overwhelming that Nina Wynn barely dared to look up.

Both of them were people of few words. Now, they were both suppressing their emotions, not speaking, and the small space fell into a deathly silence.

It was dangerous and suffocating.

After what felt like an eternity, Caleb Rhodes’s cold voice finally broke the silence. "Did he kiss you?"

Nina Wynn’s eyes were downcast. She bit her lip hard and shook her head.

But Caleb Rhodes wanted to hear her deny it with her own words. Her silent refusal only intensified the fury in his heart.

He gritted his teeth, spitting out each word, "Speak. Did he kiss you?"

Nina Wynn shook her head and whispered, "No."

That one small, soft word was enough to pull the biggest thorn from Caleb Rhodes’s heart.

But she was so disobedient. He had forbidden her from seeing Zyler Rhodes, yet she dared to meet him in private!

’She has to be punished!’

He tilted her chin up, his voice terrifyingly cold. "Nina Wynn, I told you not to see him. Why did you meet him in private?"

Nina Wynn kept her eyes lowered, murmuring, "I didn’t meet him alone. He came in on his own."

Seeing her stubborn expression, the rage in Caleb Rhodes’s heart surged in his chest again. He stared at her through gritted teeth. "Nina Wynn, look me in the eye when you speak!"

Nina Wynn bit her lip, her eyes fixed downward, refusing to look at him or speak.

Her determination to defy him to the end made Caleb Rhodes narrow his eyes. The dangerous atmosphere thickened.

He stared intently at her trembling eyelashes, his voice as cold as ice. "Nina Wynn, no one dares to defy me like this!"

"Why did you see him!"

Nina Wynn’s lips trembled, and she finally managed to speak. "So, are you going to break another one of my fingers?"

She looked up at him, her eyes dark pools, her voice soft and thin. "I still have nine fingers left. You can still break them nine more times."

She looked almost innocent, but her words were designed to cut him to the core.

Caleb Rhodes’s expression changed instantly. He slowly released her chin.

He hadn’t been gentle, and her skin was exceptionally delicate. Two clear fingerprints remained where he had gripped her.

Nina Wynn rubbed her aching chin. Just as she was about to speak, Caleb Rhodes suddenly lowered his head and bit her lip.

He bit down extremely hard; Nina Wynn felt as if her lip was about to be torn off.

She gasped in pain. Just as she started to push him away, he lifted her and pinned her against the wall.

The disparity in their size and strength was enormous. In a matter of moments, he had stripped off most of Nina Wynn’s clothes.

She knew exactly what he intended to do. But in this unfamiliar place, she was both terrified and furious, and she resisted fiercely.

"Don’t... not here..."

A wave of violent fury surged through Caleb Rhodes. The image of her holding hands with Zyler Rhodes like a pair of young lovers had seared his eyes. He felt this was the only way to prove she belonged to him.

Pinning her to the wall, he locked her hands behind her back with one of his and secured her waist with the other. With almost no effort, he took her, forcefully claiming her.

With almost no warning, she was left gasping in pain.

The pain from last night hadn’t fully faded, and now, with no preparation at all, it was starting again.

She threw her head back in pain, begging in a low voice, "No, it hurts... please, not here, Caleb Rhodes, not here!"

Caleb Rhodes tasted her, his control slipping as he gripped her waist. His voice was raw. "Tell me, why did you meet him in private?"

Nina Wynn was in so much pain she nearly screamed. Panting, she managed to get out between gasps, "I didn’t... he came to see me... Let me go, Caleb Rhodes, I’m begging you!"

Her small, soft voice, laced with a sob, only further stoked the beast within the man.

He plundered the sweetness that was rightfully his, almost completely out of control, as he rasped, "Why did he come looking for you?"

Nina Wynn was in too much pain to speak. She bit her lip hard, her slender neck stretched taut like a dying swan’s.

Caleb Rhodes had nearly lost all control. He grabbed her by the neck, forced her head up, and bit down hard on her lips again.

The immense, twofold pain nearly made Nina Wynn pass out. Her entire body went limp against him, able only to endure the agony.

Just then, a voice suddenly called from outside, "President Rhodes, are you there?"

It was Hugh Collins’s voice!

’Someone’s outside!’

Nina Wynn was scared out of her wits and began to struggle, but her resistance only ignited the man’s deepest desire to conquer.

Caleb Rhodes gripped her waist, refusing to let go. With another forceful thrust, the glass door rattled loudly.

Nina Wynn’s heart leaped into her throat. She heard the person outside walking toward them. "President Rhodes, is that you in there?"

Nina Wynn was in agony and terrified, mortified that Hugh Collins would come over and discover her and Caleb Rhodes.

She began to beg him in a small voice, "Please, let go. Someone’s outside!"

Caleb Rhodes was panting, his chest heaving, his voice raspy. "Say you’ll never see him again!"

Nina Wynn was on the verge of tears. "I won’t see him! Please, just stop!"

Caleb Rhodes grabbed her chin. "Look me in the eye and say it!"

Nina Wynn’s eyes were filled with pleas, her voice trembling uncontrollably. "Please, Caleb Rhodes, I’m begging you! He came to me, I didn’t go to him! Please, don’t let anyone know we’re in here!"

Caleb Rhodes didn’t let go, his eyes already bloodshot. "Why did he come looking for you?"

Just then, the voice outside grew closer. "President Rhodes? Are you in there? If it’s you, please answer!"

As he spoke, the doorknob turned.

The door was locked from the inside. Unable to open it, Hugh Collins assumed someone else was in there and raised his voice. "Who’s in there? Speak up! This is the President’s office, no one is allowed in! If you don’t answer, I’m going to force the door open!"

Nina Wynn’s face turned pale with fright, her voice thick with tears. "Caleb Rhodes, please, say something!"
