Chapter 201: Chapter 201 Diamond Moon Festival day

Diamond Moon Festival day

The festival morning came with a bright and cheerful feeling in the air.

Laughter, chatter, and the delicious smell of fresh festival treats filled the streets as people dressed in their finest clothes stepped outside to celebrate.

Ruby, always thoughtful, had woken up early and headed to the market to buy sweets for everyone.

She bought one box for her family, another for Angeline, one for Pillu, and another for her neighbors, a small gesture to share in the festival spirit.

Unlike most, who were wearing brand-new clothes, Ruby had chosen to wear an old robe.

Her priority wasn’t herself—it was her business.

Instead of dressing up, she had given her best robes to her family—Karl, Milo, Adrian, and Julian..so they could represent her shop.

Milo was given a deep red robe, the exact shade of Ruby’s eyes, which made him instantly love it.

Julian received a rich maroon robe, bringing out his refined features.

Adrian was dressed in a royal blue robe, making him look even more composed and elegant.

Karl, of course, got the most beautiful piece a two-shaded robe with gold and white, featuring bold red stripes on the white sections. It was flashy, just like him. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

With everyone dressed, Ruby led them toward the fairgrounds where her shop was set up.

By the time they arrived at her stall, it was only 7:49 AM, yet the market was already alive with crowds, and merchants had already begun setting up.

The fairgrounds were packed with people, decorations, and balloons.

As Ruby quickly unlocked her shop and pulled back the sliding entrance, Julian took a step forward his eyes widening in awe.

Her shop was nothing like the others.

As the sliding entrance rolled back, revealing the shop fully for the first time, it became impossible to ignore.

The raised platform immediately set it apart from the other stalls. Instead of being level with the ground, it stood taller, commanding attention. The deep red mat covering the wooden floor gave it an elegant, refined feel, making it look less like a simple stall and more like a boutique.

The walls of the shop were lined with carefully placed wooden racks, where the most eye-catching robes were hung, arranged in a way that made the colors flow beautifully from one end to the other. Dark-toned robes were positioned next to soft, pastel hues, creating a stunning contrast that made every piece look even more luxurious.

A mannequin made from cardboard held a single, carefully chosen robe—a deep crimson red piece with beautiful golden embroidery that shimmered in the morning light, easily catching everyone’s eye.

And on the back wall, standing proudly for all to see, was her logo.

’ORA’—bold and elegant.

To the left side of the shop, there was a long wooden table, covered with a dark velvet cloth. On it were smaller accessories—matching belts, delicate lace trims, and even a few silk scarves meant to complement the robes.

A folding wooden divider in one corner served as a private fitting area, giving customers a place to try on the robes before purchasing. A large, full-length mirror leaned against the back wall, reflecting the warm colors of the robes, making the space feel even bigger than it was.

Julian stepped forward, touching the platform lightly, taking in the details, the effort.

He had known Ruby was serious about her business, but standing here now, seeing it all come together...

Yesterday, he had only seen the empty look of the shop. In the afternoon, she dropped them home, and with the help of Uncle Otis, she gathered all her stock and prepared everything by herself.

It was incredible.

"This..." he murmured, eyes scanning everything. "This looks... amazing."

Milo, already distracted, ran to the mannequin, his eyes sparkling. "Wife! This red robe looks soooo pretty! I want one too!"

Karl, grinning proudly, stepped up onto the platform like he already owned the place.

Adrian, standing back, didn’t say much, but his eyes lingered on the shop, his expression unreadable.

Ruby simply smiled, her red eyes glinting.

Ruby had thought of everything.

She didn’t just focus on how the shop looked, she also made sure her husbands were comfortable.

At the side of the shop, there was a small seating area, arranged with cushioned chairs and a low wooden table for them to relax while still being part of the store. It wasn’t overly extravagant, but it was comfortable, practical, and gave them a place to sit without standing in the way.

At the back of the shop, she had even prepared a makeshift sleeping area, a small, enclosed space that acted like a temporary house.

It served two purposes

First a place to rest when the festival lasted long hours.

Second a hidden storage area—where she kept the extra stock, fabric, and supplies in case she needed them.

Everything had been set up efficiently.

Near the entrance, her chair was placed beside the counter, giving her a perfect view of the customers walking in while also allowing her to handle transactions smoothly.

But despite the excitement of opening her first shop, despite the feeling of pride that she had built something from scratch, Ruby couldn’t help but feel...

Strange.

People were laughing, chatting, rushing to set up their stalls or browse the early shops. The lively energy was infectious, filling the air with excitement.

Yet, somewhere behind all that joy, she felt a strange uneasiness.

It wasn’t fear.

It wasn’t worry.

It was just this odd feeling sitting in her chest like something big was about to happen.

But at the same time, there was excitement.

This was her first real shop. Her brand was officially out in the world.

No matter what came her way, she was ready to face it.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Karl, who dropped into the chair next to her, pouting.

"Wife, what’s my actual job here?" he asked, arms crossed. "I can’t just pose whenever customers come and go, right? That would look creepy and weird."

Ruby burst into laughter.

"No, Karl, you just have to sit."

Karl blinked, his face twisting in confusion. "That’s it? Just sit?"

Ruby nodded, still chuckling. "Yes. Just sit, look pretty, and act like you belong."

Karl squinted at her, then slowly leaned back in his chair, crossing one leg over the other.

"Hah. In that case, I shall sit with the grace of a king."
