My Fortune-Blessed Leading Lady-Chapter 1045 - 768: Bo Zhi 19_2
You like that uncle because of the attraction to the opposite sex, but I don’t like that uncle because he bullied my mom."
Mou Wen: "..."
She rubbed Xunxun’s head, "Sorry, Mom shouldn’t have imposed her thoughts on you."
Xunxun shook his head, "But if Mom especially likes him, I can be a bit nicer to him for Mom’s sake, so would that make Mom feel a little better?"
"No need to force yourself."
Xunxun shook his head, "Helping Mom is not forcing myself."
Mou Wen: "..."
Bo Zhi stood in front of the living room’s floor-to-ceiling window, watching the back of the mother and son as they walked away. He flicked away the cigarette between his fingers, smiled self-deprecatingly, and walked out the door.
It was hard to get a taxi in the villa area. Mou Wen carried Xunxun for a long distance, and Xunxun suggested several times that he could walk by himself, but Mou Wen refused.
She felt secure only when holding her son.
Screech—
The sharp sound of tires scraping the ground suddenly rang in the mother and son’s ears. Mou Wen turned to look at the car that suddenly stopped beside her. In the dim light, the car window rolled down, revealing Bo Zhi’s cold, emotionless face inside the driver’s seat.
Her heart stopped, she stood there, at a loss.
Bo Zhi spoke, his voice indifferent, "Get in the car."
Mou Wen didn’t want to get in the car because of what just happened; she feared her son would have even more of a grudge against him.
She instinctively shook her head. Bo Zhi’s gaze turned darker, and he sneered, "It takes three hours to walk out. Are you sure you don’t want to get in the car?"
Xunxun frowned. He understood Bo Zhi’s words and also detected the disdain in his words towards himself and his mom. But three hours, with Mom carrying him, was very dangerous.
A real man knows when to yield and when to stand firm.
He wrapped his legs around Mou Wen’s waist, arms encircling her neck, advising, "Mom, let’s take his car out. He brought us in, he should take us out; it’s his responsibility."
Mou Wen didn’t have time to cover her son’s mouth, a trace of embarrassment flashed across her face.
Bo Zhi didn’t mind, "Fine, as you said, my fault, my responsibility, I’ll bear it."
Xunxun pouted unhappily, as if the previous scene never happened. He looked at Bo Zhi’s face, "Uncle, it’s your fault, so of course, you should bear it.
We are the ones feeling wronged, not you, got it?"
Bo Zhi: "..."
Some things can’t be denied.
The same principle applies.
...
The three of them sat quietly in the car. Xunxun was sleepy, half-lying against Mou Wen’s shoulder, ready to sleep, yet worried his mom might be bullied, his little head nodding off, staunchly staying awake.
Determined not to sleep.
Mou Wen kissed his forehead, "It’s still far away, you can sleep against Mom for a while."
Xunxun shook his head in refusal, "No, I’ll stay with Mom."
Mou Wen knew what Mou Xun was worried about, so she didn’t press further, knowing it wouldn’t work anyway.
Her son was too opinionated.
Bo Zhi snorted coldly, "Don’t worry, I’m driving, I don’t have extra hands to reach over."
Being seen through, Xunxun was slightly embarrassed, glaring at Bo Zhi with big eyes, "Hmph, I don’t trust you."
Bo Zhi didn’t care, "Whatever."
Mou Xun didn’t know why, he felt very angry, and very wronged. His delicate face wore an expression that pained Mou Wen’s heart, and Mou Wen patted his head.
"Xunxun, just sleep against Mom for a bit, okay?"
Xunxun glared at Bo Zhi, unmoved. He felt Bo Zhi had humiliated him, he tried to hold it in but couldn’t, "Uncle, you’re a big meanie."
Bo Zhi: "..."
He always thought children were easy to handle, but obviously, his own son wasn’t.
Not only hard to handle, but very troublesome.
Good talker, but a bit petty.
Ultimately, Xunxun couldn’t hold on, he lay on Mou Wen’s shoulder and fell asleep. The two awake ones made the space increasingly awkward, with bruises still visible on Mou Wen’s neck.
Bo Zhi noticed them unintentionally when stopping at a red light, he thought self-mockingly, his son wasn’t wronging him.
He did bully people.
But...
Mou Wen was so heartless, it didn’t matter.
Heh...
It wasn’t up to her, starting the car with a jerk forward, Bo Zhi spoke, "Let’s get married."
Mou Wen looked over in panic, seeing no signs of joking on his face. He was serious about the talk of marriage.
Mou Wen instinctively refused.
"No."
"No?" Bo Zhi sneered, "Do you think if I take you to court, who has the higher chance of winning custody?"
Mou Wen’s face turned pale, "All these years, you haven’t raised Xunxun; this very point also gives me a good chance to win. Mutual destruction, is it fun?"
