Chapter 1048: Chapter 769: Bo Zhi 20_2

For a moment, surprise flickered in her eyes, and after hearing the news on the other end of the phone, her expression grew a little more serious.

Bo Yan, pushing his luggage beside her, had an arm around her waist, "What happened?"

Yuran said a couple of words, hung up the phone, then turned her gaze to Bo Yan beside her, "You might be becoming a grandfather."

Bo Yan paused in disbelief, then looked at Yuran with a slight bewilderment, "What do you mean? Whose call?"

"Your son’s ex-girlfriend, named Mou Wen."

"I’ll have someone investigate."

Bo Yan said, but Yuran stopped him, "Don’t bother, the young lady seems composed, not like she’s trying to swindle. I’ll go meet her first, do you want to come along? You can sit in the next room."

Bo Yan raised an eyebrow, "Feels like coming back just to clean up my son’s messes, it’s really frustrating."

Yuran chuckled, "Come on, it’s hardly that, just go and take a look."

"Alright, let’s go."

They chose to meet Mou Wen in a coffee shop known for its excellent privacy, high taste, and beautiful environment. Yuran followed the directions and found Mou Wen, who had arrived early.

Bo Yan came from another direction, taking a seat in the booth behind Yuran.

Mou Wen saw Yuran and appeared a bit nervous and awkward, clutching her coffee cup, visibly uneasy.

Yuran smiled, looking at her saying, "No need to be nervous; just consider it a casual meeting between friends. Miss Mou Wen, what is your purpose in seeking me out?"

With her head lowered, Mou Wen’s face turned red, feeling quite embarrassed, "Auntie, I know inviting you out for this is inappropriate, asking a senior to intervene in a private matter between me and Bo Zhi."

Yuran shook her head, "It’s okay, go on. The boy you mentioned earlier, you didn’t bring him?"

She was quite interested in seeing what her grandson looked like.

Mou Wen was momentarily stunned, "He’s here, I’ll go get him."

Mou Wen headed to the children’s area and soon returned with a little boy. The boy’s eyes and nose bore a striking resemblance to Bo Zhi’s, while his face shape and mouth looked exactly like his mother’s.

Picked the best features from both parents, leaving nothing to be desired in appearance.

Yuran, pleasantly surprised, felt a bit affectionate; Xunxun glanced at the unfamiliar aunt, turning to look at his mother, "Mom."

Mou Wen waved his little hand, "Go over and call her grandma."

Xunxun’s gaze went back to Yuran, his small brows furrowing tightly, "Mom, it’s not grandma, it’s aunt."

Yuran chuckled, though not young, she was fine with accepting aging, albeit with excellent care, the wrinkles around her eyes were still visible.

Nevertheless, every woman enjoys being called young, especially when it’s coming from her own grandson; it brings even more joy.

Mou Wen froze momentarily, then offered a smile to Yuran, "Auntie, sorry."

Yuran waved it off, "No problem, child, what’s your name?"

Xunxun furrowed his brows and introduced himself, "My name is Mou Xun, Auntie you can call me Xunxun."

Yuran smiled, feeling quite pleased, "Come here and let me have a look. Besides, I’m over forty now, I’m a grandma, not an aunt."

Xunxun understood, yet felt calling her grandma made her sound old, "Alright then."

Speaking, he came over to Yuran. She took Xunxun by the hand, pulling him near, laughing, "Good boy, I’m grandma, remember?"

Xunxun nodded, "Remembered." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

It was inconvenient to talk with Xunxun present, so after playing with Zhizhi for a while, Yuran let him go off on his own, and Mou Wen took him back before returning.

Re-sitting opposite Yuran, Mou Wen explained why she had reached out to Yuran, "Auntie, I want to keep Xunxun with me, if you don’t mind and want to see him, I’ll bring him to you.

But I don’t want any involvement with Bo Zhi, it was my fault back then, I prefer not to discuss it. Yet, I hope Xunxun will have his own choices;

Yuran understood, "You’re saying my son wants you to marry him, to co-raise Xunxun?"

Mou Wen nodded, "I don’t know his intentions, and I’m a bit scared."

Yet Yuran laughed, "Xiaowen, I’m not speaking up for my son, but there’s one thing I want to share with you: my son still likes you;

I’m not advising you to do anything; love is a matter between two people. As elders, it’s not our place to interfere, but I can promise you one thing: he won’t take Xunxun away from you;

The rest, I can’t help much; the issues between you two, the grievances, you need to resolve yourselves. Whatever you have been through, why things got unhappy, that remains a knot in your hearts. This is something you need to work out yourselves;
