My Fortune-Blessed Leading Lady-Chapter 1058 - 772: Bo Zhi 23_3
"That’s fine, she’s just taking Xunxun somewhere else."
Mou Wen nodded, indicating her agreement with him. After a few seconds of silence, she said, "If that’s the case, I have nothing else to ask. Let’s move now."
When Xunxun saw Bo Zhi arrive, he was a bit confused at first, then carefully pulled Mou Wen aside and quietly asked, "Mom, why is Uncle Bo coming to our house?
Did you really marry Uncle Bo?"
Xunxun thought of the scene he witnessed that day and was still somewhat scared. He’s young, inexperienced, and had never seen such things; it truly frightened him that day.
Even though he bravely ran out in the end, it still left a scar in his heart.
Mou Wen smiled gently, "Xunxun, don’t worry. He promised he won’t bully Mom anymore. We’re changing to a new environment, and Xunxun can play with more kids. Isn’t that good?
Did you not like your room at the place we went to last time?"
Xunxun was a bit tempted. After all, he’s a child; his emotions come and go quickly. He felt he should be a man and talk to Bo Zhi. So when Mou Wen went to pack, he dawdled over to Bo Zhi’s side.
"What’s up?"
Bo Zhi saw his son come over but didn’t say or do anything—just stood there, staring at him with wide eyes.
The gaze was clear yet cautious, making him feel uneasy for a moment.
He opened his mouth hoarsely, asking softly. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Thinking he was being gentle, Xunxun frowned, feeling Bo Zhi’s attitude was not good.
He stirred and gathered courage, "Uncle Bo, I need to talk to you about something."
Bo Zhi gave a sound of acknowledgment, nodding towards the couch across, signaling Xunxun to sit over there to talk. Xunxun wasn’t shy and climbed up to sit face to face with him.
Mou Xun’s little brain thought for a moment before speaking earnestly, "Uncle Bo, you’ve married my mom. Will you treat her well in the future?"
Bo Zhi nodded.
Mou Xun: "Will you still choke Mom like you did last time? I don’t like that. It’s not right. Honestly, you shouldn’t hit people randomly—it’s really uncivilized."
Uncivilized Bo Zhi: "..."
He didn’t speak, just nodded again.
Seeing Bo Zhi nod to all he asked, without a hint of impatience, Xunxun’s gaze softened slightly. He thought for a moment before continuing.
"Uncle Bo, now that we’re living together, I won’t ask you to buy me anything or treat me particularly well. But if you and Mom have a child, you can’t let Mom abandon me."
Even though he’s young, he understands quite a lot. Before, at kindergarten, he heard from the older Xiaomei.
Xiaomei said her mom and dad divorced, and she lived with her mom. Her mom married another uncle and, after having a child, the uncle treated her badly and told her mom to send her to her biological dad.
They didn’t want her anymore.
Xiaomei cried, saying even her biological dad didn’t want her.
Thinking his situation was similar to Xiaomei’s, Xunxun worried about his future—not that Mom wouldn’t want him, but that Uncle would dislike him as a burden, making Mom not want him. What would he do then?
He’s still young and can’t support himself.
After pondering, he looked up at Bo Zhi, "Uncle Bo, if you all don’t want me anymore, could you send me to a decent orphanage?
As long as I have enough to eat."
Bo Zhi looked at Xunxun’s innocent little face and instantly felt like a terrible person. He stood up and walked toward Xunxun.
Xunxun thought he was upset, not wanting to hear these things, and quickly waved his hands.
"Uncle, if you don’t want to send Xunxun to a nicer orphanage, an average one is okay, but how about letting Mom see me once a week?"
As he spoke, Bo Zhi had already squatted down in front of Xunxun, kneeling on one knee, looking into his eyes. This child didn’t look exactly like him, but there was some similarity in demeanor.
He was so sensible it was heart-wrenching.
He used to think he was a decent person, but in front of his son, he felt like a terrible one.
He disrupted the life Xunxun had with his mom and, as an intruder, made him uneasy.
He thought far ahead, wanting to not be a burden on his mom, making the most concessions.
Xunxun was speechless, bewildered by the man kneeling in front of him, "Uncle..."
