My Fortune-Blessed Leading Lady-Chapter 1101 - 787: Bo Zhi 38
Bo Zhi, "Forget about calling me a capitalist like Young Master. Uh, you all can head there after work, and if there’s no traffic, we should arrive at the same time. Order whatever you want, since I’m treating and introducing my family, no need to hold back."
The cheers erupted, particularly raucous, with someone shamelessly saying, "Order to your heart’s content, order the most expensive stuff, let’s bankrupt the dean, so he won’t be too busy all year without eating well and just ordering takeout."
"As if takeout tastes that bad, don’t you usually eat it with great pleasure?"
The researcher, a bit embarrassed, retorted, "Why aren’t you guys being helpful? Am I speaking for myself here?"
Someone chimed in, "To eat the dean into poverty, make him go bankrupt, you must be dreaming on your pillow. If you can manage that, I’ll look at you differently."
"Haha..."
Loud laughter from the group.
Mou Wen also couldn’t help but laugh.
Bo Zhi, leading her out, didn’t hide the smile at the corner of his lips and turned his head to say to everyone, "If you can eat me into poverty, then you’re capable. But if you can’t, don’t boast."
"I’m going to order a hundred king crabs."
Bo Zhi said coolly, "Sure, if you can’t finish them, I’ll stuff it down for you."
The researcher pulled a face, "Eating the dean into poverty sounds really hard."
Everyone laughed again.
But Bo Zhi had already pulled Mou Wen away.
The quiet hall was filled with laughter and chatter, with the conversation gradually shifting to focus on Xunxun.
"Do you think the dean’s son will be like him, with a cold face, acting all ’keep your distance from me’?"
"Probably not, isn’t the dean’s wife quite gentle?"
"Not necessarily, what if the child looks like the mom but has the dad’s temper? The dean’s genes are strong, I reckon the son is much like how he was when he was young."
"Yes, the dean was on a show when he was young, have you seen it? A parent-child program that he did with the great actor Bo Yan."
"Bo Yan, the great actor, hasn’t lost any charm, I saw a set of photos a few days ago, showing him in his forties now. Wow, the ageless male god, someone who won’t age."
"Celebrities don’t age, do they? Is that strange?"
"It’s not strange?"
"Not strange at all, celebrities grow up eating preservatives, they don’t age."
Everyone: "..."
Seems reasonable.
...
After school, Xunxun walked all the way to the front gate with Guo Hao following him. Behind them were Wa Cheng and the kid Xunxun had knocked down before. Everyone held some beef jerky from Xunxun, these were DIY snacks made by Bo Nian. Bo Nian is very particular about what she eats.
Many things can’t be bought outside, but she can make them taste the best herself.
You can certainly buy all sorts of beef jerky outside, but what catches Bo Nian’s eye is rare, yet the beef jerky she made tastes especially good.
Xunxun really likes it.
Bo Nian has shown them to Yuran and Bo Yan before, but neither of them cares much about these snacks, nor do they like them, so even though Bo Nian makes them exceptionally well, she doesn’t feel accomplished.
But this sense of accomplishment has now found a place in Xunxun, and she exchanged numbers with Xunxun.
So when Xunxun runs out of snacks, he can reach out to her.
Xunxun was courteous and especially liked her beef jerky, so although Xunxun shared some, he didn’t give all of it away. Firstly, he wanted some to eat himself, and secondly, his stash wasn’t large.
Third, and most importantly, why should his talented aunt make food for his little friends?
Xunxun walked ahead, puffed up with emotion, while Guo Hao, having eaten three strips of beef jerky, shyly followed behind, "Xunxun, how about I just eat one tomorrow? Don’t be mad."
Xunxun turned to him, "You said the same thing after the first strip, you have no credibility."
Guo Hao waved his hand, "It was just too good, I couldn’t resist. Next time, I promise I will. Don’t be mad, okay?"
Xunxun didn’t believe him at all, turning his head with a huff, "I don’t want to talk to you anymore. None of you know how to save anything. Do you know how much work and time my aunt put into making these beef jerky?
I can’t even bring myself to eat three sticks a day, and my aunt works so hard, yet you eat so much in a day."
