Euphemia described her treasure. The family heirloom was actually an antique watch made of gems and sapphires. Its size was no bigger than a baby’s palm, and when the lid was closed, it resembled a cookie.

"I got you." Xentia found the item among the jewels in the pirate’s treasure chest. She sent an automaton doll to fetch it and bring it to the terminal’s entrance.

But, they had arrived at the port, and everyone got off the spacebus.

*Poof*

Xentia stored her space bus in her storage pouch with a simple hand swing.

"How did you do it?" Euphemia was intrigued. That little pouch could store a big bus, and it was definitely not the encrypted void, but a real mysterious storage item.

"..." Xentia remained silent as she had no obligation to answer or explain anything to an outsider. She returned to her master’s side.

"Is she ignoring me on purpose?" Euphemia gritted her teeth, but she wallowed back her complaint.

She couldn’t beat the other party nor offend them. After suffering a shameful defeat for the first time in her life, she became wary of those who acted unusually calm.

"Hm?" Elysia looked to the side, at one of the food trucks on the port’s corner. She found an old veteran soldier, confused about something before the cashier.

For some reason, she wanted to know what happened. Thus, she did a quick divination to him. Apparently, he was a retired soldier who worked at the port as a small operator, but he was still wearing his old soldier’s uniform. He bought his dinner with the last money from his daily salary, but the food and its tray got taken by someone else when he wasn’t looking.

He got confused and told the cashier that he hadn’t received his food, but the cashier said the food had been taken by him. Therefore, he could only look around, trying to find who stole his food. Unfortunately, he couldn’t accuse anyone and could only stand confused, rubbing his hungry stomach.

"What’s the matter?" Yuuki perked her fox ears, staring at where her master was looking.

"I don’t know why, but he deserves a better retirement. Someone taught me to beware of an old man in a profession where men usually die young." Elysia spoke in a whisper-like voice.

"Hum." Yuuki, Xentia, and Morfina nodded in understanding.

Elysia shrugged her shoulders, and driven by her conscience, she approached the cashier. "Sir, give me three family packages."

"Aiyo!" The cashier received the order. Three family dinner packages were soon served to the beautiful customer. "Thank you for waiting, beautiful lady. Here’s your order."

"Alright. Thank you." Elysia tapped her card to finish the payment. She then moved aside and asked the old man. "Sir, have you had dinner?"

"Uh? I haven’t, what do you want, young lady?" The old veteran was taken aback because such a pretty lady suddenly greeted him.

"I accidentally bought more than I should have. You can take the rest." Elysia gave two large dinner packages to the old veteran.

"You don’t have to do this, young lady. I don’t wish to receive sympathy and pity." The old veteran checked the price and felt a little embarrassed to accept this sudden kindness.

"I don’t pity you. I also don’t need to have a reason to give to whomever I want to give to. Please accept it." Elysia shoved two big food packages into the old veteran’s arms. She then stared dagger at a particular food thief.

"Cough, cough, cough! Uhuk! Hueek!" The other guy choked until he turned pale, and ended up vomiting all the food he had just eaten.

"Don’t need to thank me. Have a nice day~" Elysia waved her hand and returned to her group, handing it out to everyone, even Aegis and Euphemia received one. "Fufu, this is a hot baked potato."

The old veteran thanked the young lady with a grateful gesture. He then sat down to eat a moderate dinner, leaving the rest to take home.

"I wonder why you suddenly helped that guy." Aegis felt it was amusing. It was just a simple and cheap baked potato with cheese and meat from the roadside, but the feeling was unique and new.

"He deserves respect. I wonder why such an old retired soldier ended up as a starving small operator. Give people like him proper retirement at least." Elysia looked back, throwing back the question.

"His name is Joel, a soldier who retired ten years ago. He received the retirement fund after his twenty years of service, but his children took everything and abandoned him." Aegis checked his system to check his information.

"Ungrateful children, hmm. At least give him a better job. That’s easy for you, right?" Elysia pursed her lips, feeling a little angry.

"Haha, fine. Consider him lucky." Aegis sent the data to transfer that lucky old man to the office job in a government agency with a lighter job but a better salary.

"You’re an Emperor, but why does nobody know you’re an Emperor here?" Xentia found it strange.

"That’s because I don’t let them know of my presence. In their eyes, I’m someone else." Aegis threw the hot potato into his mouth. It tasted cheap, but he swallowed it regardless.

"Fufu, so the others can only see you as a big ghost?" Elysia covered her mouth.

"Not a ghost, but a knight in shining armor." Aegis smirked.

"Oh my~ we’re being escorted by a Knight Emperor. No wonder no one dares to look at him for more than three seconds." Elysia chuckled.

"..." Euphemia was stunned for a moment, surprised that the Tyrannical Immortal Emperor joked around like a normal person. His cold expression was nowhere to be seen, and it was as if he became someone else only for Lady El.

"Is she the royal consort?" Euphemia spoke in a whisper-like voice, asking Fortuna, the divine owl.

"If you really want to know, try asking your royal father." Fortuna blinked her eyes in wonder. This princess came with many wild guesses recently.

"It would be wonderful if he would answer me. I’ve tried many things to gain his attention, but this is the second time I’ve met him. I also want to know about my origin, my mother, and many things, including why he sent me away when I was a newborn baby." Euphemia sighed.

She felt that she was living in confusion. Everything felt like a lie, her past and old family. Her old parents who raised her for years were just caretakers ordered by the Emperor.

If she wished to know the truth, she had to make the Emperor speak, but he said that she had to gain his recognition and meet his expectations first. It was her second year in the Imperial Palace, but she was still at a loss. She just didn’t know what to do.

"..." Fortuna softly sighed. She would give a helping hand if the overall matter wasn’t that complicated. Time would take its course, and she should leave the rest to fate.

A few moments later, they arrived at ES Nirvana and it was time to bid each other goodbyes. Elysia turned around, waving her hand. "It’s time for us to leave. Sending you off with best wishes~"

"I think it should be said by me, Lady El. Sending good vibes for a safe and enjoyable flight. Fly safely and have a fantastic trip." Aegis raised his hand in reply.

"Thank you. Until we meet again." Elysia smiled and shifted her gaze to Euphemia. "If I see you misbehave in our next encounter, you won’t get out easily with just spank, Princess Euphemia."

"!?" Euphemia covered her butts by reflex.

After the farewell, Elysia ensured all her group members were already abroad. Once she confirmed everyone’s presence, ES Nirvana soon left the Aegis Starship’s terminal, warping into the distant space.

"They’ve left." Euphemia spoke up. The Guardian of Dream’s spaceship could no longer be seen, and they had been standing there for five minutes already.

"You’ve retrieved your treasure, so you should return and reflect on your misconduct. If you have too much free time, use it to cultivate diligently." Aegis turned around and walked away.

"Please wait, royal father..." Euphemia tugged the hem of her father’s sleeve hurriedly.

"Whatever you want to ask, nothing will come out of my mouth. Prove your worthiness and you shall receive whatever you want from me once you meet my expectations. That is my promise to all imperial descendants." Aegis returned to his usual cold demeanor as he released Euphemia’s grip from his sleeve. He tore the void rift and entered it.

"Then what next? Even the 3rd and 4th princesses who had already stabilized their positions became nothing more than bargaining chips." Euphemia voiced her complaint with an annoyed sigh.

"It’s the duty of imperial descendants. Do you think I’ll just marry them off? You barely know anything, Euphemia. Use your time to study more about things." Aegis flicked his fingers, sending Euphemia back to her room using a spatial warp.

"!?" Euphemia gasped as she was suddenly thrown into her bedroom. She landed on her bed, silent as she contemplated her life.

---

Far away in the higher universe, ES Nirvana took a detour and returned to Quadtria’s orbit. All passengers descended to the Sacred Sakura Holy Land, passing through the dark sky, and landing in the silence of the night.

Elysia checked her time and schedule. The day felt so long, but also so fruitful. Xentia obtained a bountiful of things from this trip, and the mech battle became a new experience for almost everyone.

"Disciples, you have learned about the vastness of the universe today and one of the unknowns hidden in space. Unfortunately, it’s already nighttime, and in six hours, the hero expedition team will embark to subjugate the Demon King of Extreme Evil. Something will happen tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow is the purge, so please rest well~" Miko concluded their trip to her disciples.

"!?" Gabriella and her fellow disciples could tell between the lines. They should be prepared for tomorrow.

Well, it couldn’t really be called tomorrow because of the time difference between the Quadtria’s worlds.

All the disciples obeyed their master’s suggestion and immediately went to their courtyard to rest in their respective rooms. As for the representative elders, they wished to digest the new insight and enlightenment they had gained today. Therefore, some of them went into seclusion and some others also obeyed Miko’s suggestion to rest.

Miko invited her saintess friends to her room. Meiying and Mingyue couldn’t refuse it, and therefore, it became friends’ overnight visit.

"I think, it’s time to refine the star." Elysia looked at her Goddess sisters as she recalled the hypergiant white star given by He-Dao.
