My Goddess is Good at Pretending-Chapter 671: Water Shooting Game
Elena sculpted a majestic sand fortress, while Ai crafted a masterpiece resembling a fortress town. However, Miko and Megami took a different approach. They sculpted a simple yet elegant castle infused with divine energy.
"Sometimes, beauty lies in simplicity." Miko said, smiling as her sister admired their creation.
As for Elysia, she built an oversized head sand statue with Evelyn, Ella, and Sylvia. The statue was pretty big, but the torso was relatively small.
"O-oh~ Are these moai?" Erina recognized the human figure statue.
"Yes, but the muscular version." Elysia pointed at the body. Even though the body was relatively small compared to the oversized head, those muscles were bulky and clearly visible.
"Can I make it stronger with my gold touch? It will be the golden sand statue and won’t break easily." Erina suggested, feeling that it would be a loss if this iconic statue was broken.
"Sure." Elysia took a step back, allowing Erina to strengthen the sand statue.
"Wow, we created a mewing head." Sylvia hugged Elysia from behind.
"What’s that? This is the muscular moai inspired by the ones from Earth’s Easter Island." Erina corrected the misconception.
"Easter Island? I know the easter egg, so that’s the origin of the easter egg?" Evelyn tapped her cheek in wonder.
"I think, that’s different. Easter eggs are a western tradition, but yeah... The Easter Island has a history with eggs and birds." Mio explained a little.
"O-oh~" Evelyn nodded in understanding.
"It’s done. What do you think?" Erina presented the golden sand statue. It was stronger than ever because the material became solid golden sand.
"Wonderful~" Elysia put her hands together, appreciating Erina’s finishing touch.
"Everyoneee!~ We built several fortresses and they are suitable terrains for a shooting game. How about we play the water-shot game?" Elena waved her hand from the highest sand tower.
"That sounds fun. Don’t you think so, sister?" Miko held Megami’s arm.
"Mm." Megami nodded in reply.
"Uh? Mama made an iconic statue in our fortress. It looks so eye-catching. Let’s go there." Miko pulled Megami’s hand, and they flew down to their fortress’s town square.
At the same time, the Elysium members soon gathered at the fortress of simplicity’s town squad.
"Water-shot game? What are the rules?" Elysia was intrigued.
"Just like the usual first-person shooter game. We’ll split the teams into two. Whoever gets hit by a water bullet will be eliminated, but the water bullets are limited. Each player only has ten water bullets. For fairness, no magic, superpower, divinity, or divine sense are allowed in this game." Elena explained the gist of the game rules. It was just a fun game, so everyone should relax the competition a bit.
"That makes sense, and it’s family-friendly. Hea and Celes can participate as well." Lifa rested her cheek on her hand.
"Yay! Let’s play it. We can beat a Goddess in this game, sister." Hea jumped up enthusiastically.
"Yes, sister. It’s a summertime, swimsuit water-shot game." Celes made a finger gun as if she was trying to shoot the people around her with a headshot as she was confident in her shooting accuracy.
"Let’s draw the teams." Elysia manifested a water rifle gun for everyone using her imaginary magic, complete with the ten water bullets inside.
After that, she created a tube with many long papers inside it. She asked each person to take one paper.
The Elysium members soon divided into red and blue teams. Both teams went away to different fortresses, making it their base.
"Since this is a first-person shooting game, it’s about individual shooting skills. But, we’ll go in small teams of two or three people to guard each other’s backs. Find a good spot and proceed carefully. Pay attention to your surroundings. Beware of the team red’s tactics." Elysia briefed a bit about her war strategy.
"Fufu, this will be a rather tough match. Our magic, divinity, and almost everything is sealed. We can rely on our instincts, physical strength, reflexes, and accuracy only." Rhea covered her mouth, feeling this game was new to her.
"Uh, Elena, Megami, Miko, and Ai are on the red team. Ely, this is going to be a bit tough." Gaia sighed.

"It doesn’t matter. This is a fun game." Elysia smiled softly. The draw just now was bad, and she had to fight all of her other halves.
Elysia started the timer in the Elysium Channel, signaling the start of the game. However, she as the host master of everything, felt that she was a cheat entity even though she also sealed her power. After all, she could tell everyone’s whereabouts through everyone’s spiritual connections to her. The power seal also came from her authority...
Because she felt it was cheating, and she couldn’t block her senses as the host master completely, she decided not to ruin everyone’s fun. Therefore, she went to the fortress of simplicity’s town square and sat next to the golden head statue. Her hiding spot was clearly visible and only covered by the statue’s shadow.
"I’m here with you, master." Dory sat next to her master. Since her master asked the blue team not to go alone, at least two to three people, she got lucky and went in the same squad with her master. It was just the two of them.
"You should join the fun. I’ll watch how things unfold from the most conspicuous place. If you’re here, you’ll be eliminated quickly. I’ll probably be the first to be eliminated." Elysia tapped Dory’s back.
"That’s okay, master. The game wouldn’t be fun if you didn’t join in the fun." Dory leaned her head to her master’s small shoulder.
"You’re so sweet, Dory." Elysia put her hand on Dory’s waist.
"Ha ha ha! No one can shoot me. I have wings by default and nobody can stop the aerial shooter me!" Yae laughed as she flew quickly towards the enemy’s base.
However, she was stunned when she passed the golden head sand statue. She flew back and noticed two girls sitting casually behind the golden sand statue.
It took her a few seconds to realize it was real people, Elysia and the pink mermaid Dory! They were there, in the shadow of the striking statue. They didn’t even try to hide or disguise themselves!
*Splat*
Dory shot the stunned pink fairy wet. It took her just one water bullet to eliminate the flying Yae who should be super difficult to shoot.
"I’m sorry." Elysia put her hands together.
"No way..." Yae felt her fairy wings become heavy because they were wet. Since her magic and most of her superpowers got sealed, she slowly fell to the ground, losing her flying abilities.
The red team soon lost one player, and Yae got teleported to the safe zone on the highest tower, watching as a spectator.
"What the hell? This arrogant pink fairy got eliminated even though not even a minute has passed? Who was the one who boasted that she would dominate the game and overpower everyone again?" Morfina scratched her head with a sigh.
"Anyway, I’ll scout from above. This game is relatively difficult and unpredictable since we can’t use our magic and divine sense." Fortuna flapped her wings, flying into the sky.
She called it a hack because, before the seal and block, she morphed her form. With a pair of divine owl wings on her back, she would gain a better advantage in the air.
"Wait, you could be an easy target. Ely’s team has Rhea, Sylvia, and Vanessa. They also have wings..." Elena tried to stop Fortuna, but the other party had already flown away before her words were spoken.
Sure enough, Fortuna with no divine sense and divination power was just like a bird. It became an easy target and got shot down by the opposing team who literally had more air troops.
"Aaargh, I got shot!" Fortuna cried out before she was teleported to the safe zone.
"Bird brain." Darkness scoffed.
"Sigh, we’ve already lost two players when the game just started." Elena facepalmed.
"Hehe, I wonder where’s mama. Sister, let’s form a team and shoot mama wet." Miko raised her water rifle as she asked Megami to go with her.
"Be careful. Ely is literally invincible. If she wants to hide, nobody can find her easily." Elena reminded Miko and Megami. After getting a positive response, she went with Ai to start hunting down the opposing players.
The entire game was literally unbalanced with Elena’s team having a huge advantage because most of the Goddesses and high-level members were on her team.
Unfortunately, even though Elysia barely moved from her position, the red team members came in turns and became easy targets. Out of the twenty water bullets that she and Dory had, they eliminated five girls who happened to pass by.
Dory got the most kills and became the blue team’s MVP, but the game was still won by the red team.
"I’m out of ammo." Elysia could only smile helplessly because she had no water bullet left.
"Hehe, then sorry." Elena shot her last two bullets to shoot Elysia wet.
"Hehe, with this the red team wins." Elysia resignedly accepted the shots, making Elena the last shooter left.
"Wow, to think hiding in the open makes you the most unpredictable one. I thought you would do something, but you never even moved from your hiding spot. Dory is the MVP by just shooting the shocked or clueless girls who happened to pass by." Nell flew closer, amazed by Elysia’s tactics.
"Hmm-mm! Unfortunately, our team hasn’t even explored the sand fortress we built to encounter mama’s hiding spot." Miko rubbed her head with a laugh.
Rhea eliminated her in the first confrontation, and Megami charged to eliminate Rhea, but Megami got eliminated right after that as the result.
"I’m glad everyone enjoyed this water-shooting game. Sorry, Yae. You got eliminated so early and unable to enjoy the fun." Elysia was happy to see everyone’s happy expressions, but she still felt sorry for her pink fairy.
"It’s okay. It was my fault for being so stunned and letting myself get shot." Yae landed on Elysia’s palms. She flapped her hand, not minding it.
"Ah, it’s already evening. The fun feels like it’s over so quickly. I guess, we should wrap things up in preparation for the purge tomorrow." Elena teleported to the safe zone to meet everyone.
"Ah, it’s evening already?" Elysia felt a little surprised because she didn’t pay attention. So, the water-shooting game went on for hours.
She spent most of her time sitting relaxed with Dory, sharing many stories via telepathy while waiting for prey to pass by. In the end, she also enjoyed the game as it was really fun.
After the lively chit-chat from everyone, Elysia revoked everyone’s seal, returning their strength.
As the night fell, the group gathered under a grand pavilion made of enchanted seashells and coral. They shared various stories, reminiscing about past battles, and the moments of joy that had bonded them.
However, playing in the water and the beach made their skin a bit sticky and sweaty. Thus, they went to the Nature Palace for a pleasant shower and dinner.
