My Goddess is Good at Pretending-Chapter 676: Man-Made Great Demon
"Kyui!" The enraged celestial spirit soon turned into the happy-go-lucky, adorable ball of cloud.
"Wow, we haven’t even made any move, and its authority has already razed the entire ground, destroying everything. Those in the underground facility barely survived..." Elena observed the situation down there.
"Its divine punishment doesn’t kill anyone." Ai crossed her arms.
They went to communicate with the celestial spirit, the spirit responsible for administering the Caelum World’s laws, but their results were less than satisfactory. Despite the big move, no bad guys were killed.
If she or any senior Goddess were deployed to pass their divine judgment, those heretics would be turned into dust for sure, and if Elysia had to personally unleash divine magic, not even the evil soul could survive.
Not to mention, due to Elysia’s evil nemesis passive skill, those heretics, the ones with evil hearts would receive multiple folds of true damage and perish for good without a single trace left for sure.
"But well... they receive the slave seals and lose their human rights like the scheme they usually employ. Our people will capture, punish, or kill those they deem fit. We must handle the hell gate portal and the man-made Great Demon King as soon as possible." Lifa concluded the matter, reminding Elysia and everyone that there was something urgent that needed to be addressed immediately.
"Thank you for your assistance, celestial spirit. Those bad guys misled your judgment, and they deserve the harshest punishment. We shall handle the rest. Please continue to watch over the world." Elysia patted the celestial spirit and released it back into the higher sky dimension.
She then nodded to her Goddess sisters and headed towards the desolate desert where the hell gate was located. Since tens of thousands of hell demons already swarmed into the mortal world, she summoned most of the crusaders to head to the battlefield.
Since the distance was only twenty kilometers away from the purge site, the crusaders wrapped things up and headed towards the battlefield to answer the divine call.

The hell portal reported by Aubryn was already turned into a massive portal pulsating with crimson and hellish energy. The air grew heavy with malevolence, and a chilling wind swept through the land, signaling the imminent disaster.

The hell gate’s seal was shattered, causing a burst of fiery demonic energy. Countless demons, grotesque and nightmarish creatures, poured forth like a flood. Their roars shook the earth. Chaos reigned as the demons began their rampage, threatening to consume the world.
It was only a few minutes, and more than ten thousand hell demons had already marched into the mortal world, moving towards the nearest civilization, craving some fresh flesh and blood.
Elysia and her Goddess sister appeared amidst the chaos. Their ethereal forms radiated auras of holy and divine power.
"Aubryn." Elysia called out. Her voice resonated like a harmonious symphony.
"You called, milady?" Aubryn emerged from the dark shadows of the night.
"Command them." Elysia ordered with an unwavering voice. "They are your kin. Send them back to the Hell Realm where they belong."
Aubryn nodded and vanished. A few seconds later, she emerged before tens of thousands of hell demons as the Great Demon Queen of Envy, emitting a thick malevolent energy.
The Demon Queen of Envy stepped forward. She narrowed her demonic violet eyes as she addressed the hell demon horde. "This land will be covered in purgatory. By my will, return to the depths where you came from!"
Unfortunately, the hell demons were drunk on their newfound freedom. They snarled in outright defiance. They rejected the Great Demon King’s authority. Their primal instincts overpowered their fear of the apex creature of Hell.
Aubryn’s expression darkened. "Fools... You leave me no choice."
She initially would unleash her might to empower those hell demons so nobody would take her words lightly. Her words carried precious weight, but those lowly demons dared to disregard her. They deserved to be wiped out, and nobody could save them, but her new master had another plan.
"Aubryn, stand down. You’ve done your task." Elysia called out, asking Aubryn to back off.
With another alternative, Elysia put forward the plan and raised her hand, summoning a massive glyph of golden light in the dark sky. The air grew heavy as divine energy surged, and the world seemed to hold its breath. The celestial spirits, He-Dao, and the heavenly agents watched everything from above with high interest.
"By my divine will, I cast judgment upon the wicked." Elysia cast her divine magic of mass destruction.
A blinding wave of holy light descended upon the battlefield, obliterating the hell demons in an instant. The ground quaked as the divine energy purified the tainted land in white purgatory. The hell gate was unable to withstand the overwhelming holy power, and it shattered into fragments, sealing the rift between realms.
The blinding light just now turned the dark night brighter than the blazing day, but it only lasted for a few seconds. When the blinding light subsided, a twenty-kilometer area got burned in the white flames of purification, but some lucky demons managed to survive.
"Your sins end here." Elysia sighed and turned around, facing the approaching fleet. "My warriors, please exterminate the rest, leave no threat behind."
The crusaders received the command. They descended and began combing the battlefield to ensure no demon escaped their nets. Their duty was clear as they had to ensure no trace of this calamity could remain.

The news spread like wildfire throughout the world. The destruction left behind by the Elysion Chruch’s Sacred Goddess, the unparalleled divine judgment, was a testament to the might of a True God.
Many experts and warriors from across the continent arrived late. They could only stand in stunned silence as they beheld the aftermath, a scarred battlefield where the remnants of heretics and demons had been reduced to ash.
Even the most powerful beings in the world felt humbled. The demonstration of divine-class power was a stark reminder of the difference between mortals and the divine.
"This... This is the power of a True God." One expert whispered. Awe and fear mingled in his trembling voice.
The Elysion Church’s banner was clearly visible, and what had just happened was the purge, the holy quest to exterminate the heretics!
Unlike the power of a Deity, the phenomenon that had just happened could not be compared to mortal reason, let alone mortal power. The sky and earth resonated to bring down divine punishment, but the divine power that burned tens of thousands of demons at once had immeasurable destructive power.
The Elysion Church’s Goddess descended into the mortal world, and remembering what had recently happened to the Elysion Church, many people broke in a cold sweat.
Unfortunately, the Elysion Church was currently busy and nobody dared to approach the scorched land.
While many experts and hunters came from all over the world but did not dare to enter the desolate desert, Elysia and her Goddess sisters went somewhere with Aubryn as their guide.
The crusaders cleaned up on the surface, and they went to handle the roots of the matter, namely the heart of brewing evil that was about to be resurrected to endanger the world.
"This tunnel is connected to the dead dragon veins." Lifa touched the ground, nodding at the signal.
"So, they used the inactive world veins to channel the chaotic evil energy of the departed once the massacre occurred on the surface." Gaia observed her surroundings with her divine vision.
They slowly approached the heart vein where the man-made Great Demon King was supposed to be, but the closer they got, the more disgusted she felt.
As a living world core, she got used to treating the world as a body. So, what the heretics did was akin to nurturing a parasite in the veins of her kin, and this parasite would awaken as a disturbing bug, sucking blood and souls everywhere.
"That thing should be there." Aubryn pointed to the sealed entrance.
"Leave it to me." Rhea extended her hand and burned any seal, formation, and rune into ashes. After that, she just gently pushed the sealed entrance, and a passage opened.
"Thank you." Elysia stepped into the passage, down the stairs, and finally arrived at the heart vein where the man-man Great Demon King was hidden.
The man-made Great Demon King lay dormant within a colossal obsidian chamber, in a dark stone coffin, a relic of heretics’ excessive hubris.
His slumbering form, a grotesque blend of machine and malevolence, stretched nearly fifty feet tall. Crafted with an armored exoskeleton of dark steel and pulsating veins of crimson energy, his body exuded an oppressive aura even in a stasis state.
His sharp, jagged horns curved backward like the spires of a cursed fortress, and a gaping maw filled with jagged, metallic teeth. Beneath his eyelids, faint glimmers of hellfire flickered.
The air around him shimmered with dense corruption, and mechanical tendrils snaked out, anchoring him to the chamber as they siphoned energy to hasten his awakening.
Before the fiend could stir, Elysia descended into the chamber, followed by her Goddess sisters. Their radiant presence banished the darkness.
Their arrival was heralded by a blinding wave of divine light, pure and overwhelming, that made the corrupted machinery groan and sputter in protest.
"Milady, would you please allow me to take possession of this thing? I would like to research it." Aubryn asked with expectation. The man-made Great Demon King could probably rival the real deal, and she was curious about how those humans could create it.
"No. This one is a flawed demonic mecha hybrid, and we should destroy it with no compromise." Elysia flatly refused.
Without hesitation, she raised her divine weapon. With a single, decisive strike, she unleashed a torrent of holy energy. The chamber erupted in cascading light, vaporizing the man-made Great Demon King before he could unleash his wrath upon the world.
The Goddesses by her sides assisted her in ensuring the man-made Great Demon King disintegrated completely, leaving only nothingness and a lingering glow of divine retribution.
Elysia stood in serenity once the man-made Great Demon King perished for good. Yet, a question then arose from her mind. "Why does the Silver Heretic have this thing? Something is moving behind the scenes, and the heretics are merely pawns of the greater scheme."
