"How was the food?" Fana asked Jin.

"It was delicious," Jin replied with a smile. He was in a much better mood now. Even the last bits of his feelings for Diana were gone now.

"I'm glad you liked it. It's from a famous restaurant here. It's a pity that I didn't have enough time to prepare dinner for us otherwise, you would have been able to taste my handmade dishes."

"Oh? Are you good at cooking? I thought actresses usually had cooks and didn't cook for themselves," Jin commented.

"Well, I was like that earlier, but with age I learnt to cook. It would be quite shameful if a 35-year-old woman didn't know how to cook, now wouldn't it?" Fana chuckled as she carried Jin's plates along with hers and placed them on the sink.

"Well, I can't argue with that logic," Jin added.

"Facts are facts. Besides, aren't you looking forward to eating my handmade dishes on a regular basis?" Fana asked as she returned and sat back on the table.

"True, I wonder what delicacy those fine hands of yours could make," Jin grabbed Fana's hand, which was resting on the table and played with it.

A smirk formed on Fana's face seeing this.

"Go back to your hotel quickly then and finish up with your packing. I'm also looking forward to having you live in this house with me," Fana said as she raised Jin's hands and kissed them gently.

"Your actions are making it difficult for me to leave quickly, you know?" Jin chuckled as he took his hands back.

"That's what I want. Come back here as quickly as possible tomorrow, and I'll make it worth the wait," Fana winked seductively.

"Off I go then," With longing eyes, Jin soon left Fana's house.

When Fana closed the door, she looked at the bracelet on her wrist. The red gem had lost its earlier lustre.

'Was I scammed by that bastard?' She thought frustratingly.

When the gem turns transparent like glass, it signifies that it has lost its ability, and from the looks of it, the gem's energy was halfway depleted.

It was because of this that she had invited Jin to live with her from now on, in the hope that this would provide her with some additional time.

At eleven in the evening, Jin reached the hotel and started packing his stuff. By the time he was halfway done, it was midnight. He was about to rest and call it a day when he suddenly remembered about the promotion exam.

"Damn, I almost forgot about it," Jin took out his other phone and opened up the application.

It showed that he still had fifty-five minutes left until the assignment of the first task.

In that time, Jin freshened up and left the hotel after 30 minutes.

He drove his car to a secluded place and finally stopped. He then changed his appearance to that of William and added a mask on his face for extra precaution.

The timer finally reached zero, and Jin was assigned the mission.

That was the first mission Jin was assigned. It was clear that he wasn't the only one who had received this mission. There were 24 others like him.

Jin searched for the name Jackal Hakim on the internet, but he only got limited results.

None could help him trace the exact location of this person.

So, in that respect, it was a difficult mission. They had only 24 hours to locate this person in Neon City, which has a population of ten million.

If just finding him wasn't difficult enough, they also had to kill him and return safely.

'Looks like I'll have to delay my plans with Fana,' Jin thought.

He had planned to disguise himself as a worker in the Orion hotel here in Neon City and get hold of the target's location from the higher-ups.

Although time-consuming, this was the only way he could think of to complete this mission.

He bought the new item, and immediately, a mini map appeared in front of him.

It was similar in design to the map he used to get on missions that were assigned by the system, so he didn't need to spend time getting familiar with it.

"Sweet," Jin smirked and drove his car towards to target.

After driving for 15 kilometres, he finally reached a place a little outside the city's periphery where a huge mansion was built on a land spanning several acres.

Jin had deliberately stopped his car a few kilometres away to not alert the patrolling guards and made his way towards the walls which enclosed the mansion on foot.

The guards were shown in yellow colour on the map, and the guard's patrol route was visible on the map as a result, which made everything much easier for Jin.

'That's 3000 KP well spent,' Jin thought to himself. Even the system mission maps didn't have this feature. They only showed him the target in red.

Sneaking around the mansion, Jin first got his hands on a guard and subdued him. He then changed into the man's appearance and put on his clothes.

Now that he had the appearance of one of the guards, things became much simpler. He managed to sneak inside the gate, enter the mansion, find the target and eliminate him along with the women who were sleeping next to him.

With that done, Jin took out his knife from the inventory and on the walls behind the king-sized bed, he scraped the following alphabet "ZED"

With this done, Jin sneakily escaped the mansion and reached his car.

He wasn't in a hurry, so he opened the KIA application on his phone and clicked on the 'completed' button.

The application then asked for his codename and Jin naturally inputted the three letters, ZED.

"Verification in Progress" With this message, Jin closed the application and drove back home.

It was 4 AM by the time he reached the hotel.

The next day, Jin loaded his packed goods with the help of the hotel staff in his car and left the hotel.
