My Idol System: An Idol, But Also A Savior-Chapter 168: Side Mission Completed!
Joshua felt as though he had slept for a very long time, and it hadn’t even been a peaceful sleep. It was as if he had been set adrift on the ocean, seawater curling around him, rising and falling, and he himself had turned into seafoam, on the verge of being crushed to pieces by the waves.
On the bed, Joshua’s body shifted slightly. He opened his eyes wide, his gaze still a bit hazy. A faint sting at the corner of his eyes made him knit his brows. He lifted a hand, his palm brushing against his own cheek.
His forehead ached too. It felt like he had just gone through a high fever, and the rest of his body was no exception, as if he had run a hundred laps around the base before falling asleep.
Joshua couldn’t help but recall what had happened.
Henry had clearly returned that day. After that, he had been so happy that he slept better than usual, and then... then he woke up?
Joshua wasn’t sure. The disorienting sense of time made him frown. He slowly dragged himself up to sit.
But only after he sat up did he realize where the true strangeness came from.
The odd sensation from behind was impossible to ignore. His waist felt weak, the insides of his thighs numb and sore.
And that place... it really was that place, wasn’t it?
Joshua only felt more confused. Instinctively, he spread his legs and bent down to look. Only at this moment did he realize he was wearing nothing but a shirt, with no pants at all.
The insides of his thighs were slightly flushed, and that place—there was no need to describe it—felt unmistakably red...
Click.
At that moment, the door was suddenly pushed open. Henry walked in and immediately saw the scene before him.
Joshua froze, head snapping up to look at Henry. Then, noticing the state he was in, he jolted in shock and hurried to cover what needed covering, snapping his legs shut.
"Why didn’t you knock before coming in?!"
Joshua’s entire face flushed scarlet, as if it might start bleeding. His eyes were brimming with tears as he glared at Henry in accusation.
Henry’s face reddened slightly as well. He forced himself to stay calm, closed the door, and stepped forward, speaking slowly, "Sorry. That was my fault."
Seeing how easily Henry apologized made Joshua purse his lips tight.
Looking at Joshua, who looked like steam might burst out of his head at any moment, Henry couldn’t help finding it amusing.
He sat down by the bed, his gaze turning a bit heavier with concern as he asked, "Do you feel any better? Are you uncomfortable anywhere?"
Joshua privately felt that the only thing making him uncomfortable was the sheer embarrassment, but he shouldn’t hide it. So he said directly, "I don’t really know... the back feels weird. I clearly didn’t even go to the bathroom, but it feels like I’ve had diarrhea for ten days straight..."
Before Joshua could even finish, Henry raised a hand and covered the mouth that just kept rambling on.
Joshua stared wide-eyed at him, blinking, pure confusion in his gaze.
A beat late, Henry finally felt the shame hit him. He lowered his head, unable to meet Joshua’s eyes.
Joshua tugged Henry’s hand down, puzzled. "Henry, what’s wrong?"
Henry spoke softly, "Joshua... we’re together now, right?"
Joshua nodded. They had kissed, and they had done that. They were definitely lovers!
Looking into Joshua’s bright, sparkling eyes, Henry continued, "You know everyone has sexual needs, right? So... do you know how two men do that?"
Henry felt that by explaining this much, Joshua should understand.
But Joshua just blinked at him and said, "Of course I know. Just like what we did last time."
Naturally. Joshua honestly had no idea men could do anything besides using their hands on each other. It hurt his hand a little, sure, but Joshua thought it was manageable. Besides, that day he had only struggled because he wasn’t used to it yet.
Once he became a master at it, Henry would definitely end up crying under his hands!
Looking at Joshua’s excited expression, Henry once again felt he was truly a beast.
And at that moment, Joshua finally sensed the strange look on Henry’s face. His thoughts drifted away, then snapped back.
Instinctively, he looked at Henry’s guilty expression, then down at his own lower body, then up again, then down again—repeating the motion several times before he finally hesitated and said, "Henry... it’s not what I’m thinking... right?"
Facing Joshua’s gaze, all Henry could show was helplessness. He slowly nodded.
Joshua: "..."
Joshua had no idea how he reacted at that moment. Right now, he jolted upright from the bed, mouth open as he gasped for breath. It felt like he had just come out of a long and bizarre dream, his heart still pounding wildly.
Clutching his chest, Joshua blinked in confusion, looking around and realizing that everyone else had woken up long before him—and were currently staring at him.
Henry quickly moved closer. "Joshua, what’s wrong? Did you have a nightmare?"
Joshua flinched, the absurd memory flashing through his mind. He instinctively backed away and covered his backside with both hands.
Nine frowned. "Joshua, what’s going on with you?"
Joshua snapped out of it. Seeing everyone gathered around him, he suddenly felt like he couldn’t breathe.
He shook his head hard, then scrambled off the bed, bolting straight into the bathroom and slamming the door shut!
The others exchanged looks. Henry’s hand, which had reached toward Joshua, froze midair. His fingers twitched a little before he withdrew his hand as if nothing had happened.
Luther shot up. "Who was the genius who started staring at Joshua like that?! He’s terrified to the point he almost cried!"
Leonard pointed straight at Nine. "I opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was his face practically glued to Joshua’s."
Nine let out a cold laugh. He suddenly felt he should’ve slammed Leonard a little harder onto the floor yesterday—cracking his skull open would’ve been even better.
That thought made his rat-like face look even more devious.
Justin spoke softly, "Maybe it’s because we all smell like alcohol and he’s disgusted by it."
As he said that, he lifted his wrist to sniff it.
The others also frowned.
A whole group of hungover drunkards waking up and crowding around Joshua instead of washing up first... that could very well be enough to scare him.
Henry narrowed his eyes at the group but said nothing.
Of course, none of their guesses were correct.
Inside the bathroom, after slamming the door shut, Joshua sank dazedly onto the toilet lid. Only now did his breathing gradually steady, and the chaos in his mind started to settle.
Memories flooded him—not just of that morning, but of everything that happened afterward in that life.
He remembered what the doctor had said about the so-called new humans...
Joshua raised a trembling hand to the back of his neck, and the other to his lower abdomen. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Insane. If that thing really existed, he felt he should just cut it out. The dream was already crazy enough.
Of course, if it was with Henry, he didn’t feel repulsed—it had simply caught him completely off guard.
Joshua looked at his reflection in the mirror and let out a small sigh.
At that moment, his Personal Panel suddenly appeared before his eyes.
[Congratulations, side mission: Kiss Henry has been completed! Unlocking the next missions!]
Joshua stared at the notification, momentarily stunned. His hand instinctively lifted to touch the corner of his lips, which were pressed together slightly.
The mission was completed—but he clearly hadn’t done anything at all...
